STRUGGLING TO GET TO THE GYM?⠀ .⠀ It can be an absolute struggle some days to make your way to the gym.⠀ Tired.⠀ Work.⠀ No energy.⠀ Personal shit going on.⠀ .⠀ Even if you have an awesome workout program and know what you need to do, it can still be super hard to get there.⠀ .⠀ Instead of relying on motivation and willpower, which are unpredictable at best, aim to use one or more of the tips Ive outlined below to help you get to the gym.⠀ .⠀ 1⃣ FIGURE OUT YOUR WHY⠀ Why do you even want/need to exercise in the first place?⠀ .⠀ Losing weight, getting stronger or becoming healthier might be one of your reasons, but why do these even matter? ⠀ .⠀ Keep digging until you figure out the deeper reasons why getting to the gym matters to you, and revisit those every day!⠀ .⠀ 2⃣ COMMIT TO 5 MINUTES⠀ Whenever you are really struggling to get to the gym, instead of being stressed about completing your full workout, simply commit yourself to 5 minutes.⠀ .⠀ Thats it.⠀ .⠀ All you have to do is go and move for 5 minutes, and then the rest is up in the air after that.⠀ .⠀ Taking that first action step of just getting to the gym is the most important part. Today was a lazy day in the gym. Just went in and did some squats and this deadlift burner. Pyramid style lift with a partner! So I start out doing 1 rep and then @bkading15 did 2 reps, and we kept going back and forth until we got to 20, and then went back down! Great workout to get a burn! Had a lot of fun with this! Definitely try this next time you do some deadlifts! Also did this ab exercise, works every part of your abs. If the chest is not stimulated like other muscle groups, another muscle group tied in to the chest, will take on more stress than normal. Team Ryano was the first MMA gym I ever stepped foot in and it was the best thing I’ve ever done. Everything I know from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling and overall technique’s for MMA I learned under Coach Andy Ryan. Most importantly, I learned how to be disciplined! They’re one of the top gyms in Europe for a reason and that’s obvious from their success and hard work from the amateur level to the UFC. I never miss any BAMMA, Cage Warriors or Bellator show that any of the Team Ryano boys are fighting on and never will miss one. Always a supporter of everyone there! I’m forever grateful for Andy Ryan. He’s an OG of MMA in Ireland and I’m extremely lucky to have learned from him on the mats and off the mats!
