I may not have the most incredible transformation. I am not the strongest, most muscular, most fit, most flexible athlete to ever walk a stage. I dont train for a trophy, medallion, photo op, sponsorship or even a competition (although I have done one). I train so I can get out of bed in the morning, I train to fight back against the side effects of my diseases. I train so I can walk. My journey is not a choice. Its a necessity. So although Im not lifting the heaviest, running the farthest, or killing cardio the longest, I am damn sure giving it my all, 100%. My determination and motivation is to have what many other people take for granted each day...a day without pain, a day with mobility, a day to push your body to the limits. I am stronger than I look. And I plan to follow this crazy, hard, frustrating journey with a smile everyday. Life is full of ups and downs and bumps in the road. Getting ready to hit legs today with my favorite new flavor of @bpi_sports 1MR : Raspberry Tea. I have cut my carbs to under 100 per day to lean out for a shoot and this and healthy fats are where I am getting my energy from so my workouts don’t suffer.

Tips for lateral raises. _ Keep your arms straight. If your elbows are at 45 degrees you are lifting your elbows, not the weight. Think about moving the weight outward not upward. I like to lean slightly forward, completely personal preference and helps me focus on the movement. _ Don’t swing the weight a show off with crap form isn’t a very good show off. _ Grow your hair long. This way no one can see the weird faces you make 3 sets in 🌚
