Today’s #thursday tip, and I hope this tip will be a game changer for a lot of you guys! Have you heard of BCAAs? Do you have zero idea of what they are? Well, let me tell you! BCAA stands for Branch Chain Amino Acids and basically they are three essential amino acids that help your body synthesize protein. They are essential because our bodies can’t make them out of other amino acids, you have to get them from food or supplements, and that’s why it’s great to consume them during your workouts if you need them. (because remember that not everyone needs all the supplements all the time, it all depends in your characteristics and your goals!) It can take days to feel somewhat normal after crossing multiple time zones. One great way to help feel better is by “Earthing” or “Grounding”. I want to keep it simple this #tipthursday yall. Eat. Your. Veggies. And. Fruits. You would be shocked at how many people come to me thinking they eat enough whole foods, and they arent even CLOSE. Load UP on micronutrient dense foods throughout the day to not only feel fuller and more satisfied, but to ensure that you reach your daily micronutrient intakes every day. Multivitamins are great and I recommend everyone take a high quality multi to help fill the gaps, but if youre not reaching daily micronutrient intake goals daily without a multi, you may need to up your whole food intake. Get creative with your produce. Buy things you typically wouldnt. Try eating and preparing the produce you do normally buy in new ways. Drink 20-40 fluid ounces for every hour of exercise Finally (and most importantly!!), don’t rely on thirst as a signal to drink water. Thirst is actually a sign that the body is under stress and by the time you feel thirsty, dehydration has already begun to set in. Other symptoms of dehydration include dry mouth, irritability, headache, weakness, dizziness, cramps, nausea, and fatigue.
