🤩 Keto weightloss! 🤩 When I first started out with the ketogenic diet I was frustrated, sad, everything felt quite hopeless. I battled a severe addiction to sugar and tried to loose weight eating everything in moderation. I used to join Weightwatchers regularly and lost a lot of weight, but soon afterwards I always gained it all back again. My friend Graeme over at @thefitnesschef_ with an amazing post right here! Its all about that portion control and meal quality!! - Here is what Graeme wrote 👇 - In simple terms, consuming 1600 calories will have the same effect on an individual’s body composition, regardless of the calorie source. I’m using 1600 as a relative calorie example here, but the principle is the same for any calorie amount. - The food on the left accumulates to 1600 calories. If that is your daily target for fat loss, you could repeat this meal daily and succeed - this is fact. However, the problem is that it’s just one meal. You will likely still have 2-3 addition meals in that day. Additional meals = additional calories. FYI the ingredients on the left are not particularly satiating and are probably not conducive to optimal health if eaten in heavy regularity. - On the right - There is a lot more food here. In fact, it’s a full day of eating. 1600 calories deriving from varied nutrients and inclusive of smartly selected treats. Therefore it will probably keep you satiated all day, reducing the need for more calories. - The long and short of it is, if you’re overweight or obese, you are eating too many calories for the amount you move. I would go further to estimate that consistent unaware consumption of calorie dense foods plays a pivotal role in creating a calorie surplus, simply due to the lack of value for calories consumed. - Calorie dense foods such as takeaways/fast food are not inherently bad. Ich habe 50g zarte und 100g kernige Haferflocken mit 20g Kokosraspeln, 30g Mandelblättchen, 15g gepufftem Amaranth, 150g Agavendicksaft, 5g Kakao, Zimt und Schokokracher von @spice_bar vermischt und ca. 30 min bei 160 Grad gebacken. Zwischendurch immer umrühren. Ihr könnt auch Nüsse reinballern, aber bin ja mit ner Allergie gesegnet 🤷🏽‍♀️ daher lieber nicht. Is relativ kalorienreich das Ganze, aber ich nehms nur als Topping für Quark wie auf dem Bild z. B. oder als Boden für Kuchen. Wenn ich die Werte trotzdem noch hinschreiben soll sagt Bescheid. Es regnet wieder am laufenden Band 🙄 hauptsache unter der Woche wenn man bis 5 in der Arbeit hockt hats 30 Grad. Naja meckern bringt nix. ⚠️THE RIGHT FUEL⚠️ ••• The past few days id admit i havent been as active as a should have been. Getting used to a new schedule, recovering from being sick, nursing a sick child and sleeping patterns all over the place with work/business stuff. BUT biggest thing for me has been keeping on track with what i fuel my body with qnd listening to my body. Nutrition to keep me fueled. ✅listening to when im full ✅less hunger and junk cravings (i did give in once though 😂) The last few days iv been focusing more on just relaxing and allowing my body ti do its job and rebuild. Other than trying to stress it out. Even if you falm off once and a while dont punsh yourself for being human. Just get back on and focus on your why and do it. This training clip is an older one, at which time I thought my deadlift looked pretty good🤨 - Looking back on this video now, I can see that there are some issues in the connection between my upper and lower body during the concentric part of the lift (picking the bar up off the ground). - - It looks weak😩. My upper body is following my lower rather than being one complete and strong movement. This exposes my back, As you may be able to see, it looks unstable and unsupported. - - At this time I was most likely thinking about how important it was to brace my core (which it is) but I also neglected supporting that abdominal cavity from the back.😪 This is where engaging the lats come in, in providing a stronger connection to support the weight of the bar. 🏋🏼‍♀️ - The way this would look different in terms of this video is that you would see my shoulder blades in a more retracted and depressed (back and down) position whilst I ‘squeezed’ my lats, and the bar would travel back with their contraction rather than up from the pull of my shoulders.🤕 - Here I am lifting bodyweight plus for mid to high reps. When I get back into training in a few weeks I’ll be looking to push that a lot further with this slight technical adjustment🤠

Summer Shapes ☀️ • Okay so today I have done my first proper check in to my coach @harryranson in about a month 🤦🏻‍♀️😬 (Yes I have my own coach at he moment for various reasons, no1 being accountability! I’ll talk more about this in another post if you’d like) I was not looking forward to this after a month of a lotta fun! ☀️ 🥂🍕🐖 • After a hen weekend, girly weekend in palma, lots of birthdays and partying, bbqs and way to many 🥂🍸 it was time... 😬 (dun dun dunnnnnnn) • However although I knew I didn’t feel as good as I did a month ago, I didn’t feel awful, and this is for one main reason - After a few days away or a few nights partying I dnt throw in the towel and make it a week or 2 of sh*t food and sacking off the gym. I draw the line and jump back on my usual diet and training plan 🏋🏼‍♀️ • One or two bad days/nights or even one or two weeks on holiday isn’t going to ‘ruin all your hard work’ 😫Yes you’ll feel a lot more bloated, abit chubbier/fluffier/ less tight then before the fun began and most likely the abs are long gone 🧐 but you won’t have become fat. You’ve just eaten a lot more sodium than usual, cocktails have probably replaced some of your water consumption, less sleep and more calories overall. You do however put on fat if you continue those eaten/non training habits on for another few days/weeks 🙅🏼‍♀️ • Top tip: have fun, then rein that sh*t back in! 🤺 This is what’s got me through the last month and what will help me through the rest of the summers fun. If being lean and feeling body confident is your goal at the moment (absolutely fine if it’s not and you have other goals) then try to follow this little rule. Thankfully there was no check in break down 🙌🏻 😅 • Anyway enjoy Hannah Bright Wellness novel no1 there 🤣 and have a lurrrrvly Sunday! 💖
