A little throwback because today is arm day. One of my favorite burnout sets at the end of my arm day is a light weight supinated curl. Keeping one arm at ninety and doing ten reps with the other then switch. Then ten reps together. Perfect way to get the most out of your arm day. Just trying to get big arms without having a designated arm day 👀 . I used to have an arm day back when I started and I was on a ‘bro split’. But changing to a higher frequency split has still helped my arms progress, as well as all the other muscles groups 💪🏼 . Now I train biceps at the end of my pull days and triceps at the end of push days hitting them 2x a week still with enough weekly volume for them to grow. Remember you hit your arms with a lot of compound movements too 🤓 . Even though arm days are fun and give you great pumps, I avoid them for now as I feel it’s a bit of a waste of time. I’d rather focus on a big muscle group first like chest and back, then hit my arms ✅

💪🏽Triceps Training Tips💪🏽 ▫️ Anatomy 101: 💀 The Triceps Brachii has 3️⃣ heads which connect the humerus and scapula bones to the forearm bone called the ulna. These three heads are known as the Lateral, Medial, and Long heads. ▫️ The lateral head is located on the outward facing side of the humerus. This head is most responsible for the horseshoe shape of the triceps. ▫️ The medial head is located towards the midline of the body. ▫️ The long head along the bottom side of the humerus and is that largest of the three heads. ▫️ The Triceps are predominately Type II, Fast-Twitch, muscle fibers. This means they respond better to heavier weight in lower rep ranges, but should still be trained in various rep ranges. ▫️ 💪🏽Training Tips:💪🏽 ▫️ 1️⃣ Train triceps on their own day, or pair them with a small muscle like biceps instead of a larger muscle like chest. ▫️ 2️⃣ Prioritize your tricep development by working them first when youre fresh and strong. ▫️ 3️⃣ Compound movements build the most mass. Weighted dips and close-grip bench presses are my favorites for building monstrous triceps. ▫️ 4️⃣ A simple way to know which head you are focusing on, other than just feeling it work is by paying attention to where your elbow is. ▫️ Elbow tucked in by ribs = lateral head ▫️ Elbow in front of your body = medial head ▫️ Elbow above your head = long head ▫️ 5️⃣ Exercise order is important. Perform your compound movements at the beginning of your routine so you can use maximum weight to blast your triceps. Then, to build quality and shape and to isolate the muscle, perform single joint movements like skull crushers, press downs, and dumbbell extensions to enhance your triceps development. ▫️ 6️⃣ Progressive Overload is Key ▫️ Meaning you should either perform more repetitions with the same weight or increase the amount of weight you use each week. Remember, big muscles move big weight. ▫️ Oh and if you want to maximize recovery, take a high quality protein isolate like @legionath Whey + which currently 20% off! Link in bio!
