Well, I tried to go out for my two miles but 😆 my determination kept getting defeated by the universe: 1. I’m not in the best mood but that only means I need this walk even more. 2. It’s dark way early but I’ll just take my flashlight. 3. It’s really dark, I don’t feel 100% safe in this neighborhood walking in the dark and it’s sprinkling, but I’ll just go halfway. 4. (At the last turn before it was too late) okay it’s raining really hard get me home! I did maybe a third of what I wanted to, but the fact is I went out there and tried to do what I could. And while all of these presented excuses, I was fighting until it became unreasonable. Never miss a Monday!

Happy Tuesday! Such a stunning day in Wellington (though this pic is of the botanic gardens in Christchurch) and I’m hoping the weather holds up for the long weekend 🤞

Got my workout done early this morning before Braelynn was even up, got some coach work done when she napped & watched team call as we cuddled on the couch before bed! 🛏 . And between all that I was able to clean out the fridge & gather all the trashes together for trash day tomorrow, clean all the dishes, run errands, fold 3 loads of laundry/put it away, shower me & Braelynn and did I mention I’ve been home alone with Braelynn all day! 👶🏻 . So many people tell me they don’t have time to workout, they don’t have time to eat healthy or they don’t have time to add another thing on their plate like coaching.. but I’m going to tell you right now that’s just an excuse! 🤦🏼‍♀️ . And I’ll be 100% real with you guys that use to be me until I realized if I wanted to eat healthy, if I wanted to workout, if I wanted those results I’ve always dreamed of having & if I wanted to make a career out of coaching & make an income from home so I could be with baby B more and have a future where I never have to worry about money.. then I was going to have to make sacrifices & actually make time for those things whether that was to wake up earlier, stay up later, work through Braelynns nap, be okay with someone watching Braelynn while I got a few hours of work in without mom guilt, not scroll through IG wondering what everyone is up to, sacrifice watching tv at night & saying no to plans every once in a while! 👈🏻 . But I know those are the things that are going to bring me SUCCESS & ALL that is 110% worth it to me to have a job & results I absolutely LOVE waking up to everyday! ✨

Do you workout at home or a gym!? Home workouts for me are such a struggle BUT I never regret them once theyre DONE! A few things that help me stay motivated: @bombshellsportswear cutie leggings, @iheartmacros BCAAs to sip on, a good podcast (mine was @theskinnyconfidential today), a few resistance bands, pair of dumbbells and a chair! We love to blame others so that we dont have to take responsibility for whats happening. Its never an internal problem, always external. . . Im here to tell you thats a load of BS (which also happens to be how I deal and mitigate stress in my life. Read on if youre intrigued). . . When you take responsibility for your life and whatever is happening in your life, you also give yourself the power to change it. . . I get it. Its easy to play the victim role. But where has easy gotten you? . . Nowhere. Thats where. ⠀ . . So take ownership of your life. The good and the bad. Youll face hardships. Theyre inevitable. . . But if you make the decision to be IN CHARGE of your life instead of giving up your power and complaining, then you can CHANGE the situation youre in and get rid of whatever is stressing you out. . . Either change it, eliminate it from your life or accept it as a given and just move on. You can be anything and anyone you want to be. . . You just need to realize you have the power to do so.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my journey to a healthier me is that it’s all about the healthy hacks — I love pizza 🍕 but pizza doesn’t get me closer to my goals (not sure why hahaha 🤣🤷🏽‍♀️) • Insert pizza chicken and I get both 🤸🏽‍♀️ Healthy dinners can be easy, quick and tasty because I don’t do boring 🙅🏽‍♀️ • Recipe below (serves 2)... Ingredients: 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (pounded thin) salt & pepper to taste 1 cup pizza sauce, divided (you can buy or make your own) 1 tsp Italian seasoning 1/2 cup part-skim shredded mozzarella cheese, divided A few slices of pepperoni Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 375F. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray (the foil makes for easier cleanup!) 2. Using the blunt side of a meat tenderizer, pound the chicken until its thin (about 1/2-inch thick.) Sprinkle both sides of chicken with salt and pepper. 3. In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, and 1/4 cup cheese. 4. Lay the chicken on your prepared baking sheet, and spread the sauce over the chicken breast. 5. Roll the chicken breast as tightly as you can and lay seam side down. 6. Spread more pizza sauce over the tops of the each chicken breast, sprinkle with the rest of the cheese, and top with some turkey pepperoni slices. 7. Bake in preheated oven for 30 - 35 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through. 8. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies FTW 🍪🎃🙌 A rainy & chilly Monday calls for some fun baking (and eating), am I right? Luckily I have @kodiakcakes mix stocked up for some fun experimenting! Bonus points for having the Pumpkin flavor and accidentally making way more than I thought, which means I get to share the love with our neighbors 😊 although seeing as how one of these cookies is missing a bite before the photo was taken, there may not be many to share 🤣 whoops! SIMPLEST recipe possible! 1 cup Pumpkin #kodiakcakes mix 1/2 cup Pumpkin Purée 1/4 cup milk or water OPTIONAL 1/4 cup maple syrup (add if you like it sweeter!) 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 cup chocolate chips Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients together and form into balls. Slightly flatten if desired and bake for 12-15 minutes, checking after 12 and increasing if needed. Enjoy!! 🍪💪🏽

Another photo of home. I took this photo yesterday during my walk with mum. Getting in 5,000 steps felt good and allowed me to reach my goal of 10,000. I dont reach it very often and thats something I want to change. . This morning, you wouldnt even think I took that photo. Its cold and hasnt stopped drizzling all morning. I like days like today, apart from the fact that it is harder to get out of bed. . I got in breakfast which is something new. I made a bloody delicious smoothie to start the day of right. Ill be doing legs later on today. I stayed in bed too long oops. . Make sure to enjoy your day and focus on the little things that make our world so beautiful (just like you).

spicy chickpea curry 🍛 🌿 A little basmati rice topped with sautéed chickpeas, spinach, onion + tomato. It’s taken a couple years to enjoy indian curry, and now I love it! I used curry, cumin, turmeric and cayenne- which are all nutrient dense and loaded with flavour and drizzle a little bit coconut aminos on top which tastes like soy sauce. Soooo I have been feeling a bit stressed because I’ve been having some very minor shin pain about once or twice a week for a week or two. I have not gone running since last Wednesday because I’ve been trying to take it slow and give my body a rest. I got a little excited about running and my upcoming races and got a little bit ahead of the game but I really don’t want to find myself dealing with a serious injury... so, I’m definitely going to stop working on increasing my pace for now and I’m not going to allow myself to run super long distances without breaks until I slowly work my way up. 5 or 6 miles straight is fine for now but I can’t consistently do 7+ miles straight because my body simply doesn’t seem to be accustomed to that yet! I’m going to continue taking a little bit of time off and will start running slowly again to see how my legs respond! Hopefully there won’t be any issues if I go slowly and try to be as careful as possible 😊 I’ve also been increasing the amount of foam rolling and stretching that I do because I wasn’t being as good as I should have been with that! Good morning lovelies ✌🏼⛅️💕 This morning was leg day & 3 our of the 4 circuits were so very uninspired 👎🏼 I am still feeling a little frustrated, uncertain & let down with my results. I honestly felt like giving up a little. Like what’s the bloody point of trying so hard?? I put so much into this thing. Give it so much of my energy, my focus, my drive & I feel like I’m just getting nothing back ✖️ It’s fucking disheartening to say the least 😢 So leg day was just blah today. It also was so jumpy & had burpees in both circuits (lay down 🙄 & weighted variations) & that never puts me in a good mood 😂 Then I don’t really know what happened but in the last circuit (actually during the lay down burpees) I felt invigorated & so motivated. I killed it!! 💥 Did all 15 burpees in a row without stopping 💦👊🏼🔥 & it honestly put me in a much better mood!! This is why I’m thankful for exercise 🙌🏼 It’s so good for every part of us - not just our bodies!! I’m also going on a run at lunchtime so hopefully that helps me feel even better as well 🤞🏼 . . I won’t quit but fuck I am stuck at the moment & I’m not sure what my next move will be but I don’t want to keep on doing the same thing. So come Monday (after my break this weekend 🍷👯‍♀️) I’m going to shake something up. Any tips on breaking plateaus please feel free to share 😘 Happy Tuesday babes xx

Loved today’s BBG arm day! I felt so strong and I haven’t felt like that in ages 💪🏻 Today I remembered that exercise was supposed to be fun! 😆 I started with zero motivation as usual but I pushed through it, half the battle with me lately is just getting started. I know I can do it if I really want to. Instead of setting the timer I just did two sets of each exercise, that’s what I felt like doing today so that’s what I did and it worked because I enjoyed it. It’s not even arm day today but I’ve got to go with what I’m in the mood for! How are all the BBG girls doing? And thanks for carrying on with tagging me girls 😘

So you know I love baking and usually Im not very into baking such things as a cake or cookies in the most healthy way and using some alternatives instead of the traditional ingredients 🙈 I think that If you bake something that isnt gonna be your breakfast for the next five days, you shouldnt worry or feel guilty about adding the butter or sugar thats in the original recipe. BUT 🔥 I tried to make these cookies yesterday and I forgot to add the sugar by accident 😂 et voilà! • Write your history • ⠀⠀ Todos tenemos la capacidad de lograr cada meta que nos propongamos, pero no todos son capaces de lograrlo. Se requiere de voluntad, disciplina, sacrificio y trabajo duro por algo que es invisible a nuestros ojos, y en el “ahora” existe sólo en nuestra mente, lo cual hace muchas veces que se vea todo cuesta arriba o inalcanzable. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Días atrás pensando en cómo ha sido todo mi viaje en esta misión que tengo de lograr mi mejor versión, me di cuenta de que últimamente me había estado presionando mucho considerando que siempre he sabido que este es un camino sin final, y donde cada “baby step” cuenta. Así que luego de idear un plan decidí ir a paso 🐌 y seguir trabajando en esto pero dándome mi tiempo, sin presiones, que tome el tiempo que tenga que tomar... total sé que llegaré a donde quiero porque sé que mi voluntad es inquebrantable🙌🏻. Que tengan un gran inicio de semana mis queridos! ☆ En otras noticias! Ya estoy terminando la prueba del tratamiento de @vichychile #dercosdensisolutions y la verdad es que me ha gustado bastante como se ha mantenido mi cabello en este tiempo, lo siento más voluminoso a la hora de peinar lo cual para mi que siempre he tenido poco cabello es una gran sorpresa! Además me gustó el formato ya que como trae dosificador he ocupado menos de la mitad utilizándolo todos los días. El aroma de los productos es fresco y a veces algo mentolado, lo súper recomiendo si lo quieren probar! Ahora solo me falta tomar la Foto de comparación para ver los resultados.

LUNCH: 1 whole avocado stuffed with quinoa salad. You can also stuff it with tuna or chicken salad. This is a super filling, #lowcarb & high protein lunch. I also added sliced almonds and beans to my avocado for extra #fiber. Finish it off with a little tahini or balsamic if you’re feeling extra fancy 💁🏼‍♀️

Do you find your back feeling sore or tender after performing back exercises? * If you are looking to decrease muscle tension, increase recovery time, range of motion, and flexibility in your back, a foam roller will be your new best friend! * In this video, we focus on 2 major muscles: 👉🏼 Your Lats are a sheet of muscles that cover basically your entire back - they can get tight and sore from doing too many back workouts, and weak and loose if you have poor posture. * 👉🏼 Your Serratus Anterior is a muscle that wraps around the side of your ribcage (it looks like gills on people with lower body fat 🐠). This muscle helps stabilize the shoulder blade, and can be tight and underworked if not given attention. * So how do we help alleviate & fix these muscles?? 🧐🧐 * *Grab a foam roller and start rolling! * • Place a foam roller just underneath the armpit • Begin rolling the side of your ribs up and down the foam roller • To target the lats, very slightly move your body so the foam roller hits your side/back • Perform this motion for 30-60 seconds * * 👉🏼 To release the muscles, perform this exercise before a workout 👉🏼 To ease soreness/tenderness, foam roll post-workout 💪🏼

2 years ago today my organs started to shut down after a tumor in my intestines cut off my blood circulation. After painful and terrifying emergency surgery and a long excruciating recovery, I learned that it is the mind (not the legs) that is the strongest, most powerful part of the body! Every time you dont give up, every time you push through one more mile or one more rep, every time you force yourself to go after your goals, thats not your body or your muscles being strong and making it happen, its your mind. I know now that I can never be defeated and that inspires me to keep going every day 👊🏻💪🏻💪🏻
