Happy Friday guys!! Who’s excited for the weekend?? I know I am after living at work this week I am just so happy to lay around tonight and not do anything. 🙌🏼 Normally weekends are my time to let loose, eat pizza, have a few drinks! Which you SHOULD! 🍕Currently being on day 9 of Whole 30 I can’t this weekend which is a huge challenge for me, but I think it’s only healthy to be able to enjoy the foods that you love with friends and family! It’s not healthy to restrict forever, and there’s so much amazing food on this planet to try. That being said, be smart about it!! I try to choose one meal on Friday and one on Saturday to eat whatever I want and then eat healthy the rest of the day and on Sunday to avoid having a major setback in the progress I want to see. Nothing, and I mean nothing makes me happier than ice cream and pizza🤗 By doing this and focusing on hitting your goals during the week and your other meals on the weekend, you can make sure you’re eating 80% clean instead of it sliding down a slippery slope. I also do workout on the weekends I’m off, it’s my fav time to go and knock out my #bbgstronger workouts and get cardio done in the same day because I’m not rushed and the gym is empty! I always look at the gym on the weekends as something to enjoy and not be a chore 🏋🏼‍♀️ Enjoy the weekend!! Let me know if you guys are doing any fun workouts or going anywhere cool! I feel like all my posts have been about food lately! This is odd for me because I normally like following people who show their faces in posts, because I like to know the people behind the accounts. BUT food is where my current health/fitness journey is focused on. I’m still working out regularly and doing #bbg but that’s the same as always. Meanwhile I’m refocusing on my nutrition, trying out fun new ways to eat healthy, and hope that by sharing some of my new ideas I will inspire or re-inspire some of my friends 😊. SO... I made these delicious egg muffins this morning. Scroll through the pics to see some of the steps. I used 1 cup of egg whites and two eggs to make 9 muffins. I made 3 for my daughter with whole eggs and cheese. I had two for a snack with my mocha protein smoothie. yummmmmm 😋

FRUSTRATIONS 👉🏽 INJURY. . . I injured the ligaments in my finger which doesnt sound like a big deal but seriously try gripping anything or even holding a plank or press up or anything. It really affects training. 👎🏽 . . THEN when that finally started getting better I twisted my knee so couldnt do any running or lower body work (aside from reaaaaally low impact). . . Ive finally managed to get back to the gym to walk an incline 5k 🙌🏽 thank god. Felt good to sweat. 😅 . . Injury is inevitable at one point or another and its so so frustrating but you NEED to take it easy otherwise you could do even more damage. . . Theres been so much yoga. It’s been forever since I’ve done a #guthealth update so I thought it was time to share some progress! I am in shock looking at that photo on the left; that was pretty much my norm and the image doesn’t even capture how awful I felt most of the time (nauseous, fatigued, foggy, anxious). After 8 months of healing my gut through nutrition, herbal supplementation and lifestyle changes I’m happy to report that is no longer my baseline, though I do have flare ups. I encourage anyone with questions to look at my GUT highlight but here are some things I’ve done to help: • avoid foods I’m sensitive to • take supplements to support my gut • walk in the morning in the sunshine ☀️ (vitamin D is IMPORTANT!) • meditate (10 minutes in silence am and pm) • no phone before bed or at least 30 mins after waking (sleep hygiene) • switch up my exercise routine to lower impact/intensity. While nutrition and supplementation obviously have a big role in gut health it is so important to look at the BIG picture! I’m getting retested in the next couple weeks to see where things stand and I can’t wait to find out my results. OH MY GOSH!!! I CANT BELIEVE HOW MUCH PROGRESS IM SEEING! Im only 6 weeks in to my 365 Journey but Ive already lost 10 lbs and my size 4 pants fit again!! I seriously love the fact I only have to work out 25 minutes a day 4 days a week to see results!!

Perspective: The moment you realize how important time is, your entire perspective will change. ✨ . . . I don’t have a lot of pics of myself full length, or with my husband, or with my kids. The truth is I would avoid these pics or I was the one taking them. Most of the time though it was unintentional. I’m trying to get better at this. . . The thing is, I took this pic and finally just thought “wow what a nice memory for my family”. I didn’t criticize how I looked. I didn’t care that I wasn’t wearing the best outfit. I think it’s just because I realize that fitness isn’t everything. It’s not. Everything in this picture is more important than any workout I’ll ever do. . . I still workout regularly. It just isn’t as important as it once was. I will have weeks where I’ll only workout a few days, or none. Life moves on. Try not to get wrapped up in the instagram world where the most dramatic transformations get the most attention. Life isn’t really like that. A dramatic transformation doesn’t mean you’re happy. It doesn’t even mean you’re healthier than most. All it means is that your BODY changed. It says nothing about effort or time or focus. . . Try to keep it all in perspective. Enjoy who you are today. L U N C H is easier when you cook more dinner than you need and use leftovers [shocking, right?]. Last night I sautéed chicken breast, finished it in a little coconut aminos. So for lunch, I added the chicken to some spinach, blueberries, toasted almonds + goat cheese with my favorite white balsamic + toasted sesame oil dressing. Wahla, it took about 5 minutes.

On Wednesday evening my boyfriend and I went snowboarding at Chill Factor. This was only my second time in the space of a few months and I picked it up surprisingly easy the first time - something that, instead of giving me confidence, actually gave me a lot of anxiety doing it again. What if I’d forgotten how to do it? What if I’m completely shit and can’t stop falling over? What if I can’t even get on the button lift (an anxiety stemming from horrific childhood skiing experiences)??? It actually brought out a pretty ugly side of me as I realised that a) no matter what I previously believed, perfectionism is still a huge part of my character, and b) I often let the fear of failure control my life. It frustrated me no end - here I was thinking I was over that shit, that I accepted my strengths and my weaknesses for what they are and that I love myself enough to know I don’t always have to be perfect or even good at everything. And the more angry and frustrated I got the more anxious I got about my boyfriend seeing this ugly side of me and what he thought of me. • • I don’t know at which point it hit me that this all revolved around the thing that my whole life has revolved around: the need to have control. Of situations, of how others perceive me, of my own thoughts and feelings. Control is a tricky thing: the more you grasp for it, the more it slips away. So bit by bit I tried to release it. Let it go. Trust the universe that it will all work out exactly how it’s supposed to. PWR Glutes & Hamstrings Week 22 ✅ from Tuesday night . Sorry guys, I’m a little behind with my videos... I just need to get used to my new job and how to associate that with my workout routine and Taekwondo trainings, as well as with the preparation of the scientific articles I’m gonna write from my master thesis. That’s a lot, but I can do this! I just need a few days to adjust. 😁 . Anyways, this workout was a lot of fun!! Thank you @kelseywells! I don’t know why but I absolutely LOVE hip thrusts 😹 Once again, my form is not perfect for most exercises but I am trying to get better every time. Feel free to leave a suggestion on how I should improve my form 😜 . Today is gonna be a rest day, just because Val and I both have a day off together (FINALLY) and we have SO much to do and no time to workout unfortunately 😹 Also I’m sick, I think I got a cold from Monday night when I faced that Northern storm to go to the restaurant with my certainly beautiful but light dress 😹 So I think giving myself some rest is not a bad idea. Unfortunately that means not going to Taekwondo training, even though it was the only one I could attend this week because of my shifts 😭 But as I said, just give me a few more days to adjust and I’ll get on top of my life and will find the energy to go to all the Taekwondo trainings I can attend! 💪🏼 . Completed the first week of @justpeachi Build-a-Booty and my 19th week of #BBG 1.0 this week! Feeling good. BBG Week 13 Arms 💪🏻 As promised, I finally recorded the exercises from week 13 arms and boy were they a killer. I did this circuit on Wednesday and today I still can’t feel my triceps. I love bbg because no matter how many times I go through the program, it always challenges me to my greatest length. Here’s the breakdown of the slides ⬇️ + I’ll also give some extra tips for each of these exercises in my story! 1️⃣ side lateral raises 2️⃣ modified push-ups (I’ll be on those little toes soon enough!!) 3️⃣ triceps dips 4️⃣ lay down push-ups / modified version 5️⃣ squat + press 6️⃣ weighted bent leg jack knives 7️⃣ mountain climbers 8️⃣ jump rope Go out + sweat y’all🤗💦

Off to the big city this weekend!! I’m so freakin’ excited to see Seattle again. When I was a teenager I was going to live in Seattle or Portland as soon as I could move out.... and somehow I ended up in Los Angeles 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ Which is exactly nothing like either of those places but I am happy how my life turned out and I’m really excited to explore Seattle with my bestie. I haven’t been since I was a teenager!!
