So finally got around to posting these. I’ll be quite honest I was a little disappointed but shouldn’t have expected too much after only two weeks. In some photos it looks like I’ve put on weight 😂 Putting this down to bad lighting and changes so small you can’t see because my jeans felt 💯 more comfortable the other night. Hoping the next fortnight will prove to be more exciting. Not sure if it’s just me but maybe the sliiiightest change in my quads 🤔 Off to the gym to start Week 3 today 👊

Getting this selfie took me nearly 5 mins cause the changing room was so busy 😂 but yesterday was a pretty productive day! Read 3 studies, wrote a blog post, went to the gym and got my boyf his Christmas present 🙌 . Today won’t be as productive as I’m working but still gonna get in a session today 💪🏻 hitting the gym again on Friday and gonna do some deadlifting but I may be slightly hungover so we shall see how it goes 😂😂🙈🙈🙈 anyway, ya girl has to get some disso reading out the way while she eats her lunch so bye 💕💕

Let’s talk social media📱 I’ve always tried to stay pretty grounded when it comes to the comparison mindfuck and getting wrapped up in what others are doing. I created this account to keep myself accountable during my journey. If I had 1 follower or 200 followers it wouldn’t mean any difference to me. I take transformation photos for myself and myself only. If I can motivate someone else along the way then it’s a bonus. Lately I’ve been feeling pressured to end the year with a bang. I wanted to post the best transformation evaaa on January 1 and do a one year complete transformation. But the truth is I don’t feel or look my greatest. I’ve been building up this amazing transformation photo in my mind and I think I’m going to fall short. Then I feel defeated. I looked my best in June, not now. I feel like I’m not gonna give the people what they want. They want to see a damn good photo. I’ve felt like this for a few days and I finally realized this morning, “why am I doing this to myself?” I’m glad I checked myself before I got too caught up. I did look my best in June but I look damn good now too. Idk why I felt pressured to “give” such a good transformation photo. Treadmill HIIT after a hectic day! Followed by 🍷and catching up with my girlfriend! Cuz balance 💁🏾‍♀️😄

Let’s talk about HITT.... HITT is high intensity interval training. It usually consists of three or more super sets, a exercise time limit, and a rest time limit. Here’s an example: I do this twice a week... -X4 pushups/ planks.... -X4 accordions/ sit ups.... -X4 calf raises/ reverse lunges.... -X4 jumping squats/ burpees/ tuck jump.... Each exercise is executed anywhere from 30-45 sec with a 10-15 rest in between each set. HIIT is designed to burn fat, speed up metabolism, raise your heart rate, and develop a better cardiovascular system. If you don’t like running or want a sub for cardio, HITT is the way to go. You can even add in weights like myself.... There are many places you could go to find these exercises, but Google might be your best bet or the @sweat app from @kayla_itsines works wonders!! Today I used my personal cute 18lb weight and worked out from home!! Staying fit and being a mamma to three isn’t always the easiest. I have to schedule it and make it a priority or it doesn’t happen, let’s be honest, it still doesn’t always happen. We don’t have to spend hours at the gym, you can take 30 min and bust out a kick butt workout. Isn’t it silly what we tell ourselves. Yesterday I was saying to my sister I don’t feel like I am getting stronger except for one exercise, she replied you’re still pretty strong everywhere else. Fitness and nutrition is not something that I’ve been into my entire life. I really only started working out about 5ish years ago, and got serious about what I was putting into my body about 2 years ago. I used to go out about 5-6 nights a week, lots of drinking, lots of late nights, lots of fast food, and zero exercise. I felt like crap every day, got sick a lot, and suffered from anxiety and depression. I’m thankful (to say the least) that I got into fitness and fueling my body with real Whole Foods. I am a wife and mom of two boys, and have one on the way. I’ve never been happier or healthier in my life. This is all due to taking care of my body. I’m also extremely thankful I discovered @kayla_itsines @bbg_community @sweat a little over two years ago. It has seriously changed my life. I debated what to write for #transformationtuesday . I thought I should write something about fitness plateau and pushing yourself... But all I kept thinking was - these two women are both confident, yet they look {physically} very different. ____________ When I started using the #bbg program it was because I was insecure. I wasn’t proud of myself and I was uncomfortable in my own skin. So I decided to make a change. ____________ I started to live a life that prioritized self-care, just 30 minutes a day to remind myself that I am valuable. ____________ Within a few weeks {5 weeks to be exact} I started to feel more confident, more secure and more worthy. Physically, I hadn’t really changed that much - but mentally, I was becoming a whole new woman. ____________ I’m now on BBG Week 57 and my physical appearance has changed quite significantly, but the MOST DRAMATIC change is the one inside my head. My heart, my mind and my body have learned to love each other. They respect each other. And they forgive each other. I finally learned the beauty of self-love. ____________ I hope in 2019 you will forget the goal of losing ___ lbs. But instead make it a goal to gain self-love.❤️.

Why is it so hard to pose straight on for a selfie? For me, it’s not my best angle. I don’t look my thinnest. My double chin shows more. I can’t see my arms and the progress on them as good as profile. As I get older, I have realized that perfection is a mindset. I didn’t want to post my previous picture. I am exact height of the trainers and I will not look like them. I’ll do my best though. I’ll applaud my successes and challenge my body. Focusing less on vanity and more on function has kept me positive but it is hard. Images are what we share to show our progress and if we haven’t gotten smaller or seen less weight on the scale then what else do we have? Why do we continue? Because now I have no limp in my right leg. I can do big girl push ups. I can get through a workout without quitting. My form is better. I feel my workload in life is easier to accomplish because my body and mind are strong enough to handle it. I can carry my daughter for long amounts of time. My doctors noticed a positive change and my husband said I am in the best shape he has ever seen me in. My stomach is not flat and my hips still don’t fit in my clothes from my early 20s. Again, this double chin y’all. It bothers me. Success is not a destination though. It’s a process. This is a crossover chest fly with 1-8 resistance band (swipe to see) that you can do anywhere. I like the focus I get on the muscles of the chest and front of shoulder when I put my arms into this stretch band at different resistance levels, in this picture I use 1 and 8. Put the band around a steady base and move the arms in front until underarms crosses. The muscles work against the strength of the band and you need to keep the core engaged for stabilization. 🔥🔥 Guess who got sold into signing up to @orangetheorywaterloo ??? ME! Im such a sucker for these things, but I am 100% going to make the most of it! 🍊🍊 Had one session this morning and another tomorrow morning, still getting over the feeling of wanting to pass out on the treadmill and the feeling of lactic acid creeping up my throat. Good times Good times. ✌ • 🍊 The first session I did my heart rate was peaking at 200 😅 burnt 700 cals and worked in the red zone for 85% of the session 👊 🍊 The second session my heart rate peaked at 189 and burnt 675 cals 💥 • I mean if I dont see changes.... 🤷‍♀️
