Excited for my sesh with @fitnesswith_mk this weekend. ▪️▪️▪️ I know PT is expensive but here is why I’d encourage you to consider it: ✨you work harder with someone watching you ✨the only way to improve is to know what you’re doing wrong - corrections on form and technique are the way forward! ✨having a pro who can guide you and answer any questions is amazing and you see results much faster ✨it’s safer having someone who really knows their stuff to coach you through new movements and skills ✨its an investment in you ✨they can help you avoid injury ✨they can identify your weaker areas and what you need to work on ✨it’s motivating AF ▪️▪️▪️ For me it’s an investment in my mental health too and it’s cheaper than my therapy used to be. I know I’m very lucky to be able to afford it 🍀 but here are some tips to help you save for sessions and make £ go further: 💰stop buying takeaway coffee. Easily saving £3 per day. That’s £15 a working week. That’s £30 a month 💰cut down/give up alcohol. Since I’ve had to stop drinking, the app « I’m done drinking » estimates I’ve saved £241 in less than a month. If your PT is £60 an hour, that’s 4 hours of training right there - 1 a week! 💰stop buying lunches - make lunch boxes. Veggies and pulses are super cheap. holiday mood: torn between wanting a snack and looking like one 😝

This is a crossover chest fly with 1-8 resistance band (swipe to see) that you can do anywhere. I like the focus I get on the muscles of the chest and front of shoulder when I put my arms into this stretch band at different resistance levels, in this picture I use 1 and 8. Put the band around a steady base and move the arms in front until underarms crosses. The muscles work against the strength of the band and you need to keep the core engaged for stabilization. Another Day - Another Workout 💪🏼 • When I think about the gym in general, I see it as something that I continue to do because I love the environment and how exercise genuinely makes me feel good. Even on days when I don’t want to go, I think about the “after” feeling of working out and it gets me there. I also really enjoy WHAT I’m doing at the gym which makes it even better! 🎉 Making the gym enjoyable will keep you going back! ❤️ • I absolutely love and adore BBG and what it has done for my mental and physical health, but after 40+ weeks I knew I was ready for a different pace because I wasn’t as excited as I was previously. That’s when I decided to try BBG Stronger and it has relit that motivation flame because now I eagerly look at what my workout will be for the next day 😂 If you hate running, don’t run! If you like lifting, then lift! It seems obvious but I know there is a lot of pressure from others to do the “right” workout. I am having fun experimenting and not putting too much pressure on it 🤙🏼👌🏼🙌🏼 • BBG Stronger week 12 arms today followed by a few sets of various pull ups on the assisted pull up machine. Today’s leg session was amazing🤩 I did the #bbgstronger week 5 leg day and it was tough but so awesome, leg day is still my favourite day of the week🥳 . If I am honest I wasn’t feeling the gym today🙈but I went anyway and I am so glad I did, I have never regretted a workout💪🏻 but I have regretted not going to the gym an it is not the best feeling in the world💙 . I only have 3 more days of work left and then it’s holiday time🤩but it feels like these days are taking forever to go by😂 I must admit I am stressing a bit about not being able to eat 100% healthy on my holiday because I still I have a long way to go before I reach my goals and my anxiety is not being kind to me at all🙈 . But I will still try my best to eat as well as I can and exercise as much as I can and also enjoy my holiday at the same time💪🏻💙

I remember being so excited to start a fitness program when I took this top pic. It was my first day of @kayla_itsines BBG program. Oh my gosh it kicked my butt at first. I almost quit so many times. 😂 I have changed so much between these pics. Almost exactly two years later. More than anything my mindset has changed. I went from wanting to be skinny to wanting to be strong. I learned that when I had a plan, was consistent and pushed myself I saw results. I’ve also learned to be patient & forgiving with myself. There are days that I totally sucked at the gym and everyone else seemed to have it together. That’s going to happen and it’s ok! I got over it and tried harder the next day. Its all part of the process! It’s been an amazing #fitnessjourney and I’m excited to see what this next year brings!! #transformationtuesday

2019 goals 🙌 - Have you thought about your 2019 goals and what you want to achieve?? - The usual things we hear are New Years resolutions; I want to get fit and eat healthy, stop smoking, stop eating sugar etc etc etc. - But don’t fall into the trap of doing something because it feels like the right thing to do and everyone’s doing it, because you will fail. - Do something because you truly believe in, something deep in your heart you want. If you truly want something you will make no excuses and someone’s reasons for doing something maybe different to yours, so stick to what you believe in. - I don’t really believe in New Years resolutions, I believe in setting yourself goals and targets for where you want to be in 2019, and writing out a plan of action. - A target is always essential and a plan. Ever stood in front of the mirror after a good exercise and immediately felt so down and demotivated for not looking like sofia vergara or stood on the scale after 2 days of dieting and your heart breaks cause you didnt 10 kilos already? And you end up ordering McDonalds or whatever junk you can find.... We all have those moments of weaknesses and irrational feelings. We expect to see fast glamorous results right away, or else we stop and go back to our bad habits... Ive been through this vicious cycle all my life, till the moment i realized that nothing is going to speed up the process but ME! My attitude, my perseverence, my consistency and above all my patience. What i gained over the years cant be gone for good in a matter days, weeks or a few months. This doesnt mean i dont have setbacks, believe me I DO... but what i usually do to get back on track is take a before and after picture, or go take a look at my written goals, or think of the little victories i achieved and lastly always remind myself that Im exercising and taking care of my food for my general health not only for losing weight. Every day I do gratitude journaling. I use @msrachelhollis start today journal method. Although I do it in my own cheap Walmart notebook,it works perfectly fine. . I try to do this practice every morning, let’s be honest it doesn’t always get done until the afternoon. I started this practice to gain some perspective in the morning. To start my day from a happy, grateful, loving place in hopes that it would spill out of me all day long. . How do you do this? Write down 5 things you are grateful for daily. Although some days are very similar I try to find something new everyday. . So today one thing i am grateful for is this holiday season. The mugs, the tree, the music. It all makes me so happy. Healthy eating meal plan for all ages 🙌🏼 Make sure you guys ⚡️SAVE⚡️ this post as you’ve been asking me for another meal plan so I’ve created a delicious one for you guys 💪🏻 . . 💙Meal 1: Choc chia pudding (this is one of my fav breakfast options that keeps me full for hours!). To make it mix 1/4 cup rolled oats, 2 tbsp chia seeds & 2 tbsp choc protein powder with 1/2 cup of milk. Stir until chia seeds are well combined then top with berries then place in the fridge to set overnight (or you can eat it straight away if you prefer but I like it set overnight & cold!) . . ❤️Meal 2: 30g of your favourite nut + add a banana to morning tea if you’re currently exercising/ still hungry 🍌 . . 💚Meal 3: A high fibre wrap, tin of tuna, grated cheese & plenty of salad. I generally don’t fit all my tuna, salad & cheese into the wrap so I’ll eat what’s left over as a small side salad afterwards to really keep me feeling full 🙌🏼🥗 . . 🧡Meal 4: Natural Greek yoghurt + if you’re active a mandarine (or any other piece of fruit) 🍊 . . 💜Meal 5: Mexican sweet potato, corn & chicken with some greens & lots of paprika & chilli flakes (for the Mexican flavour!) . . I’m terrible about updating, but I did Abs on Saturday to complete last week’s resistance workout. I was also super lazy and since I was working out at home, decided to throw a sports bra over my tank that I slept in lol So I had an 80’s style going on. I PR-d my mile yesterday by a whole minute!!!! Yesterday #adidasrunnersla held their 2nd pace test and I PR-d all my times 😭 My first mile was 8:45! INSANE! Never in a million years did I think I could run a mile that fast! I was shook to my core when Runtastic told me that I had already finished my first mile. My fastest mile prior to was like 9:36! THEN! I ran 3 miles in 27:47! 27:47?!? Like what?!? And I ran like a 28:05 min 5K! My preciously fasted 5K was 30:01! YO! That’s like 2 mins faster! I truly believe it’s the @adidasrunners Fam that has given me the strength to run faster and faster! Even with not running a ton lately. There’s no motivation like AR motivation 😍 Feeling so blessed to be running with this team! I need to give a special a shoutout to all our coaches & captains & crew! Stretching after my first Leg Day #bbgweek1 in a long time. As I worked out today, I reminisced on how far I had come. I’m trying not to beat myself up over it. I haven’t stepped on a scale but I know that I have lost my progress. However, I know that not all is lost. I’m grateful to be alive and have a second chance at this. I’ve always struggled with binge and emotional eating. I don’t have a goal this time, weight wise. I know I just want to be healthy. I know that I can do this. I will do this. I don’t take measurements very often, but I did in February this year. I can’t remember if I ever posted cm/in loss before, so here they are: _____________ Feb 2018 vs Dec 2018: * - 4cm/1.5in chest * - 4cm/1.5in middle * - 5cm/1.9in stomach * - 7cm/2.7in butt * - 5cm/1.9in per thigh _____________ Overall I’ve reduced my #fatmass with 4.5% and INCREASED my #musclemass with 4.3% since February 💪 My weight is 6.3kg/13.9lbs down, even though my muscle mass increased. Ok Story Time 😁 haha! I woke up this morning & just really wanted to smash out a good workout. So I got my stuff together, set myself WEEK 9 BBG LEGS 🔥 & went for it. 14mins in & my tween daughter had a run-out-of-supplies drama (ladies 😉). So I jumped in the car, drove to our supermarket & got her some stuff. Haha. You should have been there! With me, dressed in tropical print short bike shorts & a tank with the back cut out, on a cold overcast day, all sweaty & red faced... just casually acting like normal in Woolworths 😂 . It’s not like this is exactly how everyone in our small town dresses to do groceries Haha 🤦🏼‍♀️ But anyway. I saved the day for my daughter & got back into it. I finished out & then did week 9 Full Body from Stronger. Needless to say my knees are shaking & I’m not sure I can walk tomorrow but I feel like a frikken superhero 💪🏻🙌🏻 haha! How badass are you #fitmums out there. Getting it done 🙌🏻 . Now I have an appointment for my kids at noon & I’ve left myself all of 10mins to get changed. As we approach the new year, I am realizing how much my goals have changed! Instead of wanting to be skinny, I want to have self-confidence. What’s more awkward than changing into workout clothes in your office bathroom, taking a selfie in that bathroom to share with a bunch of people on the internet. Oh #fitstagram.... 😁 🔹 I’m ending the year by trying a few weeks of #bbgstronger. I like that it keeps the 7minute/4circuit structure of bbg but adds some new strength focused moves and equipment. 🇫🇷 2019 arrive et je fais un petit bilan de mon parcours fitness ! 🥰 ▫️ Le changement le plus radical s’est opéré dans ma tête, en 2015 ! J’ai rechuté en 2017 avec un voyage au Chili, mais je ne considère pas cela comme un échec! Au contraire.😌 ▫️ Avoir repris 5 kilos c’était aussi un moyen pour moi de comprendre que le corps change, que ce qui est valable un jour ne l’est pas forcément le lendemain et que rien n’est acquis ni définitif!😏 ▫️ Et ceci est valable dans un sens comme dans l’autre! Vous pouvez vous sentir mal dans votre peau aujourd’hui et dans 3 semaines beaucoup mieux ! Ne vous blâmez pas pour une « rechute ». ▫️ Vous avez la vie devant vous pour progresser et vous améliorer 🤗💓 ▫️ 🇺🇸 2019 is coming and it’s time for me to look back on my fitness journey!🥰 ▫️ The most drastic change that happened was in my mind, in 2015! And I did « felt » in 2017 during a trip to Chile but I don’t consider it as a failure, at all!😌 ▫️ I gained 5 kilos back and It allowed me to understand that what’s true today will maybe not be true tomorrow! Nothing is acquired!😏 ▫️ But this works both way! You can feel bad today and much better in 3 weeks ! Remember that you have your whole life to progress !
