Today was a chill #LegDay #workout and corework because I was trying to listen to my body, and it was telling me to take it easier. On thurs I had an incredibly short #run because my legs were 100% fried that I stopped after 12:22 😔 I also walked around 1.5 hrs total that day. I was frustrated because when you hit the wall like that, it means you were overdoing your #training to begin with, so you are hindering consistency. And consistency is the most important aspect of training. So yea I hit the wall again so Im waiting until Weds for outdoor #running again and hopefully take it easier (30 min max for now) and not force long runs and hills. 🏃‍♀️ On leg day today I focused on quality reps and taking my reps slower than normal (creates a better burn and more challenge for my #muscles ) because I tend to rush #weighttraining ! I Put the kids to bed and knocked through this 20 min core workout. No equipment needed...just body weight and youd probably want some music 🎶. I had to do without the beats today....left my headsets in the house and going back in to grab them wasnt worth the risk of waking them up 😏 Workout: 1️⃣leg lift w/hip raise [15 reps] 2️⃣foot to foot crunch [20 reps each side; 40 total] 3️⃣high plank alternating toe tap [10 reps each side; 20 total] 4️⃣low plank hip twists [20 reps each side; 40 total] 5️⃣spiderman planks [10reps each side; 20 total] 6️⃣plank [until failure] Complete 3-4 rounds with 30 sec rests between sets. ANY MOVEMENT IS BETTER THAN NO MOVEMENT➰ - Be careful on how much you soak in when you listen to these Instagram Gurus when it comes to Movement. They like to sell you the idea that certain movements are wrong so that they can look like a specialist and sell you their services. Repeat after me “THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS WRONG MOVEMENT!!” There is only degrees of efficiency when performing movements. Performing a move a certain way might be more efficient than another if you are going to be repetitively doing the movement over a period of time, that is all. Matter of fact, performing a movement “wrong” can give you more strength and decrease your chances of injury as long as you are aware and maintain control, you will be fine. - For example, If I was to perform a pistol squat and my knees keep moving slightly side to side then it’s going to alert my body that we need to strengthen the side muscles and ligaments to stabilize it. It will also create small micro tears so that the tissues can come back stronger. Now if I am performing the pistol squat and my knees are going side to side and I push past the area that I can control, then I will be increasing my chances of getting injured. So when it comes to movement, as long as you stay aware and stay in the position that your feel strong and can control you will be fine. 👏🏼

Cè stato un periodo in cui non amavo essere fotografata e se succedeva ero abituata a modificarle quanto più possibile per nascondermi, ma nessun filtro ha mai eliminato la tristezza che celavano i miei occhi. Ci sono ricordi, foto, pensieri che mi fanno riflettere e riguardandoli mi chiedo perché mi sono ridotta così? Perché una persona arriva ad odiare se stessa? Arriva un momento in cui si tocca il fondo, il corpo rimane solo un cassetto vuoto. Trovavo sollievo misto a rabbia nel riempirlo. Chi ha sofferto e soffre di dca (parlo dei molteplici estremi che si possono verificare) conosce bene il modo in cui un momento no della nostra vita si trasforma in un gioco del terrore: il cibo diventa amico, lo sfrutti a tuo favore per tappare mancanze, chiudere ferite, dimenticare. Poi conosci la vera altra faccia della medaglia. Bastardo, infimo, Lucifero. Ogni giorno si ha paura di lui, ma non ne fai a meno. Un po come quando chiudi gli occhi guardando un film che ti spaventa, ma hai troppa curiosità nel vedere come va a finire. Questa è la risposta a tutte le domande che mi sono fatta prima di raggiungere la luce. Non è mai facile uscire dal tunnel che ci creiamo, troppo spesso costruiamo noi il muro in fondo, io lho creato con le paure e distrutto con la curiosità, quella che si crea domandandosi cosa cè dietro quella barriera che abbiamo alzato e distruggerla dopo tanti anni non è facile. Ma non è neanche impossibile. La parola chiave è il tempo, non abbiate fretta di diventare quello che vorreste, non insistete per essere qualcuno solo per piacere agli altri. Il tempo e la dedizione vi diranno chi siete davvero e arriverà quel giorno in cui lo specchio vi dirà che avete vinto. Non la bilancia, non la taglia che indossate. Semplicemente guardandovi un giorno, dopo estremi sacrifici troverete quegli occhi pieni di sola e pura gioia. Quella è la vittoria.. E la risposta ai vostri perché ❤

A major key for losing weight is to not overthink it. If you want to lose weight, just be in a caloric deficit. I would take your maintenance calories (for me it’s 3,000) and subtract 300-500 calories (I eat 2500-2600). That’s all you need to do. If you want to get into macros, eat 1-1.2 grams of protein per pound of body weight, and eat enough carbs so that you’re still losing 1-1.5 pounds per week (eat fruit guys!), and then for fats (keep your hormones in balance!) for guys is eat 40-50 grams and women 30-40. Warming up for glute activation, leg day blast. When I played rugby I had a pretty bad tear in my right groin and thanks to my physio god showing me clam shells. For deadlifts, I dont like traditional style lifts, I like the wide or sumo, I find it easier on the body but still more challenging.
