This is a wonderful appointment for STA to bring in someone of Michaels calibre and experience. #teamsoto Michael Kelly is an Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach from the North East of England who has been providing his knowledge and expertise to athletes for over 11 years. Over that time, he has worked with a wide range of athletes from Track & Field to Volleyball and Football to Water Polo, showing his adaptability to the needs of each sport and individual. Although Michael has worked with a variety of athletes, he has always had a special interest in Tennis and has worked with some of the countries’ top ranked youth players, as well as leading the Strength and Conditioning programme for the highly successful Durham University Tennis Team for over 3 years. In his spare time Michael likes to practice what he preaches, setting himself new sporting/training goals each year and always wanting to improve his physical capabilities. In 2017 he was part of the team who broke the Guinness World Record for the most weight Deadlifted by a 12-person team in 12 hours (If you have a spare few hours make sure to ask him to tell you about it!).

Is this you too? ✨ There are many days that my workouts are broken in pieces throughout the day and happen in the backyard 🌴 ✨ Looking back I realize that if I didn’t have enough time or couldn’t get to the gym I used to get super frustrated 😣 ✨ Nowadays I have more rest days and feel less anxious, less pressured when it comes to workouts and my body. ✨ Today I’m not striving to be a figure competitor or power lifter, rather a good mom & wife who makes doing the things that bring me happiness and make me feel truly healthy a priority. So I havent been able to do much upper body especially shoulders or back for 4 weeks now. Today I sucked it up and went for a small shoulder session but kept it sport specific just focusing on improving my explosive power, strength and endurance for boxing.
