21 vs almost 31😮 — Never in my life did I think that I would be in better shape in my 30’s than in my 20’s. — The picture on the left is taken in Vegas at my brother in laws 30th bday party. It’s not that I’m overweight in the picture and it’s not that I wasn’t pretty then. — It’s that then I wasn’t secure with myself, I didn’t have amazing confidence. I feel that when I was younger I was still trying to figure myself out and figure who Tiffany is. To now in my 30’s being the healthiest, strongest, secure, confident person I’ve ever been! — My confidence has grown like crazy over the past 10years and did the most growing in the past year. When I realized that life isn’t over at 30 and that I was just going to have a mom bod, that I could have whatever bod I wanted and that I could be stronger, healthier and more confident in my 30’s.

JUMPING INTO THE WEEKEND LIKE...⠀ .⠀ As I wrote in my gratitude journal this morning I thought all of the ways my life has improved by saying yes to making my health a priority.⠀ .⠀ ✨I learned that I actually DO ❤️ veggies! It just took a matter of trial and error in the kitchen to figure out how I liked them cooked. Which leads me to the next 👇🏼⠀ .⠀ ✨I CAN cook yummy healthy food & actually LIKE it! According to my husband, I seem to be pretty good at it - and I believe him cuz he & the kids eat it up!⠀ .⠀ ✨I learned that when I fuel my body with the best nutrition every day, I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER!! I had no idea that I was living my life with constant bloat & brain fog (among so many other things). I didn’t even know how bad I felt until I started feeling good!⠀ .⠀ ✨I discovered that fitness (aka - sweating for my sanity) is a NEED, not just because it’s good for my health & allows me to be a more active mom, but because it helps me to be a MORE PATIENT & KIND mom.⠀ .⠀ ✨I discovered that when I feel more confident in the way I look & feel? My husband and I are a much happier couple, if ya know what I mean. 😉 Forgive me for bringing it up, but I had to say it.💗⠀ .⠀ ✨I discovered that being part of a community of women working together to achieve a common goal of living a happier, healthier, more fulfilling life, SUCCESS HAPPENS!!⠀ .⠀ ✨I found myself developing amazing friendships with incredible women from all over the US, UK & Canada through my fitness & nutrition accountability groups.⠀ .⠀ Looking back, I can’t even imagine what my life would look like today if I had never made that decision 3 years ago to make my health a priority & join my first group.⠀ .⠀ IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!!! 🙌🏼 Which is why I’m so passionate about our MINDfully Fit community & my Sweat for Sanity Bootcamps. I’m a part of this 30% ....i didn’t do any massage but got a Pilates instructor at home to help strengthen my pelvic floor. So sharing this via @getmonstrong so you moms stay informed. . . Over thirty percent of women in the United States have Cesarean births yet get very little education or support how on recovery. The first thing I like to encourage women to do gentle diaphragmatic breathing (inhale --> belly rise, exhale --> belly falls) and walk around to allow rest and recovery to occur. . . After the initial 6 week healing period, you can start gently massaging your scar 2-3 inches above and below it to promote healing, blood flow and decrease numbness. Progress to massaging directly over the scar - up and down, side to side with extra time on the areas that are tight or tender. . Perform 3-5 minutes a few times a week to help the scar soften, flatten, and help your scar from getting too restricted which can lead to a belly pooch, painful sex, and peeing and pooping problems. . . ITS NEVER TOO LATE TO WORK ON YOUR SCAR. Whether your surgery was 6 weeks ago, 6 months ago, or 6 years ago, it can help. Being a mom and when it comes time to talk about my 40s with my girls. I sure as hell dont want to explain to them I spent the entire time worrying about food or having the perfect body. . __ I spent what felt like the first part of my life hating what my body looked like, felt like and truly became a nightmare of mine that one day my girls would hat their bodys too. . __ So my hope is that maybe if I practice self love so freaking fiercely today, that one day my girls wont know anything else.

If anyone wants to know what an anxious day looks like, here I am in all my glory. Tomorrow is the girls’ birthday party and although I’m excited for it, I won’t be relaxed until I arrive to my parents house and have everything settled. Today does not consist of any panic attacks. It looks more like: - no focus: I’m still in my pjs, teeth aren’t brushed, I have loads of laundry to deal with. - no patience: trying not to snap constantly, but it has definitely happened already a few times today. - headache. - obsessive thoughts. . . I knew this would happen and I’m trying not to fuel it but I can’t wait to get on the road and out of my head!

Don’t compare YOUR day 1 with someone else’s day 1,000! I’ve come a long way in 3 years. I’m guilty of it though 🙋🏻‍♀️. I look at people and I’m like WOW she looks amazing why don’t I look like that yet?! Or WOW she lost 100 pounds and I only lost 40! Not everyone has 100 pounds to lose. If I lost 100 pounds then I’d only weigh 80 pounds!! Duh! Not realistic! Weight is just a number and what I found is that it’s usually an unrealistic number. We have a certain number in our head bc it’s what we “think” we should weigh or we used to weigh it when we were teenagers and now we have kids and our bodies are completely different. I’m learning to embrace my loose skin and stretch marks bc it represents the 3 lives I was blessed to carry and the struggle I went through bringing them into this world. Focus on being the best version of yourself. Embrace YOUR journey, stop comparing yourself to everyone else, and stop caring what people are going to think of you. Trust me, once you do that, you’ll feel a weight lifted off your shoulder and THAT is the weight you SHOULD be focused on losing! The weight of people bringing you down. I want to preface this post by saying that I’m not looking for commentary like “you’re doing great” “it will change” etc etc I say that not to be rude, but that’s not my reason for posting. Some days this is hard. Hard to roll out of bed and, as most of you know, mommin’ is a 24/7 job. It’s hard to get pumped up to work out when I would like to have a nap too. It’s hard to make healthy choices when some days all I want is a pumpkin spice latte, don’t hold the whip, and a bacon mushroom melt from Wendy’s #theyreback And it’s hard to keep going because this is that hardest it’s ever been for me to lose weight. Even when I feel like I’ve done all the right things to put me in the best possible position to make it easier on myself. And it’s not. I know this pity party won’t get me to my goals. BUT! If you’re reading this and relating to it in any way, my point is that it’s OKAY!!!! It’s ok to take that nap and have that coffee because I believe that we all deserve to have treats that bring us joy. While knowing it’s not going to hurt you, but also that 80% of the time you have to eat clean and healthy to reach those goals, whatever they may be. So this is your Friday morning reminder to #treatyoself, guilt free, but don’t forget to reel it in when its time to crush those goals 💪🏼✌🏼

So last night I came across some pictures of me earlier in the year aka before I was knocked up🤰🏻😉 and I was like holyyyy cowwww I cannot WAIT to get back to that🙌🏼🔥 - Side note: I mean, I’m pretty dang proud that my own body is GOALS🍑💪🏼🎉 - I may have slightly been day dreaming about that during my workout this morning😂 I started to focus on my wins for the week and was excited that I upped my weights for every workout... and THEN I realized... - Well dang, I’ve REALLY upped my weights because I’m lugging around an extra 20lbs on top of that😂🤷🏻‍♀️ So, I guess you can say that I’m just REALLY winning at life right now😂🎉 - Find the good y’all😂 To all my pregnant friends (and seriously, there’s a ton of you🤰🏻🤰🏻🤰🏻), baby weight is temporary. Look at taking care of yourself everyday as an investment. Would you believe me if I told you I got into coaching because I did NOT know anything about fitness? And because getting active was NOT easy for me? And because I did NOT know what the right foods to eat were? While Ive been on my journey for a while, and while Im in the best shape of my life right now, this has not always been the case. Fitness isnt in my blood. And for this #workingmom, saving time is huge! Ultimately, coaching has given me the ability to learn how to make fitness a part of my life without consuming my life. No “oh my gosh what will they say?”. Just peace. Because I understand now. I understand that this is just the human body. This is a body that has carried three amazing children. This is a body that has been a range of weights swinging 110lbs in difference. This is a body that used to feel worthless and now feels strong. This is a body that needs to be fed with love, attention, kindness and good food. This is a body, and through PRACTICE and EFFORT and EXERCISE in self care, I have grown to love. This is a body that I will use to help show others that they are not alone in their bodies. My friends, this is your life. This is your body. Whether you’re tall or small, curvy or striped, this is you. And you are beautiful. And it takes time to grasp these things. It’s not something that you SUDDENLY magically feel ok with, but the effort in hate is more draining that the effort in love. So, practice. A beautiful autumn day at the beach!

So, this morning was a weight loss day. Sweet right? Especially right now that I’m at a weight where my body gets comfortable and it gets hard to lose, so I have to work extra hard. __ But guess what else happened today? I felt SUPER fluffy and just bloated! While this was super annoying, it was a good reminder for me even on days I don’t see the scale drop. __ The scale is just a number. It’s a tool. It’s great to have to gauge progress, but it’s not the ONLY way to gauge progress. It also doesn’t tell you your worth, how amazing of a mother you are, how incredibly loved you are, how good you are at your job and at life... It’s literally a number. And a number that LOOKS different on everyone, at that. __ Please don’t get hung up on it. Use it as a guide and nothing else. Sure I have a number that sounds “nice” in my head for me personally, but truly I’m going on how I feel. And I’m just trying to be better than I was yesterday. The only reason you should look back is to see how far you’ve come and how you can improve. So remember to love yourself now too, not 10 lbs from now. About last nights dinner! I was in the mood for some comfort food when I made my meal plan this weekend, so I planned some spaghetti. But instead of using pasta I used spaghetti squash. I like making simply swaps to good old fashioned meals to make them meal plan approved. 😉Here is how I made it: Ingredients: 1 spaghetti squash 1 pound of lean ground beef 1 bell pepper 1 small box of baby Bella mushrooms 1 jar of spaghetti sauce Olive oil Salt and pepper Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 375 F. 2. Rinse and slice bell peppers and mushrooms. 3. Microwave spaghetti squash for about 2 minutes to soften. Then slice in half lengthwise. Place on baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Bake in oven for about 45 minutes. 4. In a saucepan, brown ground beef seasoned with salt and pepper to your liking. 5. In a separate saucepan sauté mushrooms and bell pepper in olive oil. 6. Once ground beef is browned and veggies are tender, combine into one saucepan and add spaghetti sauce. Heat up for 5-10 minutes. 7. When spaghetti squash is ready remove from oven and let sit for about 2-5 minutes to cool. When cool enough to handle, use a fork to fork out the squash from its shell. 8. I wasn’t even sure I wanted to post these. • A few weeks ago I hopped on the scale and saw a number I had never seen in my entire life. That scared me, let’s face it I am an emotional eater. The last time I got close to that number my husband was deployed. • I promised myself I would never get back to that point, but after a year of ups and downs and battling my inner demons I need to make a change. Not just for myself but for my kids, I have two girls who are looking to me for guidance and I have to get it together!! 🙌🏼 • I know you all have seen me post about these #1stphorm challenges before and time after time I am starting from scratch. But this time, I don’t have a choice. This time I am fighting past the loss of motivation and learning to discipline myself to create habits that will last long after I reach my goals. • I need this for me. It isn’t selfish to put yourself first sometimes and it’s okay to give yourself a little self care. I’ll be sharing my journey the next 8 weeks to keep myself accountable and hopefully inspire someone else to make a change!

I had every excuse not to workout tonight. It was a long day. Parent teacher conference. Soccer game. One kiddo with an upset stomach. No one will notice. Skipping one workout won’t make a difference. But I also had every reason to show up. I deserve to spend 30 minutes on myself. I need to fill my cup. I’ll feel better when I do it. While in veterinary school, I worked out BUT did not make the best choices when it came to food. Fast forward 8 years...working mom of 3 kids under 5 years old. I workout only 4 days a week in my garage for less than 40 minutes. I still treat myself to pizza and beer, but in moderation. It’s taken me a long time to get here and I’m still learning. When I decided to start this, I didn’t know how bad I needed it, I didn’t know the effect it would have on me and my husband and change what we thought were good habits, into better ones. When I decided it was time to change my habits, to try something new, is when it all changed. I was able to break through my plateau and drop 15lbs I had been holding on to, and most importantly, it helped me get my fibroid symptoms under control.
