If there’s one thing my husband wants me to share about why he is happy with doTERRA would be this .. he was suffering so much from Reflux or GERD for many many years and had been on medication such as Nexium and others. I made yogurt! This 24-hour-cultured yogurt is SCD and GAPS friendly 😊 Did you know most commercial yogurts are only cultured for 3-6 hours? The longer fermentation time makes it much easier to digest, and making it at home is far cheaper and you have the assurance of knowing exactly how it is made and with what. I used @horizonorganic grass-fed whole milk but any whole milk—especially raw milk if you have access to it—will do! I also used @naturalprobioticselection acidophilus yogurt starter. How I made it: 1) Pour 64oz of milk into a slow cooker and heat on low for about 2.5-3 hours until it is 180 degrees 2) Turn off and unplug the slow cooker, letting it cool down to about 100 degrees with the lid on 3) Remove about 1-1.5 cups and place in a bowl 4) thoroughly whisk in two packets of yogurt starter and then pour the milk back into the slow cooker and whisk it thoroughly with the rest of the milk 5) incubate for 24 hours—I wrapped my slow cooker in my insulating winter jacket and it worked great, but you can also use a few towels or a thick blanket After 24 hours, remove the yogurt and store in the fridge, letting it chill for at least 8 hours before enjoying! I used @weckjars 0.5 litre jars and it made about 3.25 full jars worth of yogurt. I hope y’all have a great one ☀️

I have had 6 parasites so far in my life. 6! Yes, my gut has been an absolute and total mess. I’ll admit that. . But, I have been able to kill these parasites and re-build my gut. How? I am constantly experimenting with different flavor profiles, ingredients, and different ratios of macronutrients for energy balls. I developed this recipe for Vanilla Cinnamon Recovery Bites recently as a recovery snack after a workout. Just last week, I was honored to receive the award for “best recovery recipe” at the inaugural sports nutrition conference at FC Barcelona @barcauniversitas, for them. It was a great collaborative event, connecting science and practical nutrition strategies to implement with athletes. Some people have a hard time eating after a workout - just three of these with a bit of water will get you back on track and provide you with the needed protein and carbohydrate and help to replenish your glycogen stores that have been depleted during your workout. A very normal photo of me basking in my natural habitat. Give me aaaalll the breakfast food. . . Do you fast? It’s funny to think of breakfast as “breaking fast,” but that’s technically what it is. I’m a big believer in #fasting, and specifically “reverse fasting” as opposed to intermittent fasting. This is basically where you skip dinner instead of lunch, get sunlight in your eyes for energy before breakfast every morning, and eat with the sun so that your body has time to sync to its natural circadian rhythm and have time to properly regenerate itself at night. . . How it works is by eating dinner a little earlier than you normally would, or right before the sun goes down. So that might be around 5 or 6pm. Then you eat breakfast around 7 or 8am, or just shortly after waking. I always aim for 12 hours between dinner and breakfast the next day, with some days between 15-16hrs, so that my body can sync with its natural rhythm and have time to repair. When the sun goes down, our body wants to naturally turn off #digestion and turn on restoration (think: strengthening muscles, repairing skin damage, cleaning out environmental #toxins or fighting a virus) and a great way to help it do this is solely by giving it time to focus on other processes aside from digestion. . . Of course, everyone is different. And eating early in the day might not work with your schedule or your body, but it is worth trying if you have a hard time waking up in the morning or feel #fatigue throughout the day. Bring your dinner to work, make breakfast the night before so you have more time in the morning, or try it out on the weekend. Just remember, it’s ok to give your system a break every once in a while. 🧠💪🌿❤️

A drizzle of fresh lemon olive oil and a sprinkle of pink salt, dulse flake and cracked pepper. ●●●●● ☆Tip of the day ☆ white potatoes are loaded with fiber vitaminC, B6, potassium and become a resistant starch when cooked and cooled.
