Bad Times at the El Royale “If this is not a place for a priest, then this is where the lord wants me.” Directed by Drew Goddard A modern day Hateful Eight with a Pulp Fiction jump mash, Drew Goddard unravels a solid well put thriller, with two fantastic acts, an off pace third, and a terrific ensemble of odd people at the right place at the right time, for a really fine time at the El Royale. Jeff Bridges and Chris Hemsworth are thunder and lightning in this clean chaos of unpredictability and mystery, as brief as Hemsworth is, they’re both incredible. Secrecy can go so far and Goddard manages to entangle six strangers to a fully investing, and technically crafted story, it’s a fun puzzle. It’s about trying to set the pieces before everything goes south, so any Tarentino film but a B version of them. Most times it’s great to look at, not as memorable and packs a decent punch, but overall a stylish, entertaining 60’s call back. With a soundtrack to keep the senses intact and a charming, crazy ensemble, from start to semi finish, it certainly is not the best thriller in recent memory, but an eye candy original, vibrant time, late night thrill, that starts strong but couldn’t properly wrap up given its lengthy run time. It definitely makes a great rental, but a bigger screen would make the viewing pretty satisfying. #BadTimesattheElRoyale #DrewGoddard #JeffBridges #ChrisHemsworth #DakotaJohnson #NickOfferman #JonHamm #CynthiaErivo #MichaelGiacchino #Tuesday #Blusday #film #filmaddict #amc #thriller #AntManandTheWasp #Marvel

#badtimesattheelroyale director Drew Goddard will cast @chrishemsworth whenever he can. Full video in bio.

In 1969, four strangers check in at the El Royale hotel, situated on the border of California and Nevada. None of them are what they seem, and the place itself has some dark secrets of its own. The stage is set, and through a flashback structure, we get to experience why these people are here, and what dangers they bring for the other guests. I wanted to keep myself from comparing Bad Times to the work of Quentin Tarantino, after all he does not singlehandedly own the concept of interweaving storylines and a reckoning between colorful characters, but having now seen Drew Goddard’s (Cabin in the Woods) work, I realize that the comparison is inevitable. Everything in here is textbook Tarantino; we get quirky names (Laramie Seymour Sullivan takes the cake), title cards for every chapter, sudden outbursts of violence, and complete scenes built around a carefully selected soundtrack. It’s as if Goddard saw The Hateful Eight and decided to create his own 70’s noir-spin on the material. That’s not to say that he doesn’t have anything to bring to the table. The first act has it all. Intrigue, fun, rhythm, and one completely transfixing long shot of Jon Hamm’s character walking through a hidden tunnel with visual access to the rooms’ one-way mirrors. It’s one of the best sequences I’ve seen this year, and while the movie contains two or three of these gems, the rest falls a little flat. The violence looks too tame to have the desired shock-effect, the pacing gets too slow and too self-indulgent to remain invested in the so-so storyline, and the characters (save for Jeff Bridges, who forms the heart and soul of the picture), don’t really have anything truly snappy or memorable to say. The director clearly has love for his bag of tricks, but runs through them a little too soon. The momentum often screeches to a halt, especially during the finale, in favor of more exposition. Eventually one sub-plot takes over the entire show, making the others feel a little hollow in retrospect. I cannot deny the quality on display - as a mood-piece it absolutely works - but just like the choice to place the hotel on the border between states; its existence is never truly justified. 6.5/10

HALFWAY POINT THOUGHTS . I didn’t realise this was so short to be honest. I’m really enjoying it, because it’s been written based on the screenplay it is obviously very true to the film but you get extra descriptions of what the characters are thinking about. . Just at the halfway point and the action has now really begun. Obviously I know how it ends because I’ve seen the film but I’m still looking forward to the second half. . #bookstagram #bookworm #bookgeek #bibliophile #booklover #books📚 #booklife #readingislife #booklove #booksofinstagram #lovebooks #lovereading #bookaholic #booknerd #readingaddict #reading #readingtime #bookwormery #BWhalfwaypointthoughts #CurrentlyReading #CabinintheWoods #JossWhedon #DrewGoddard #TimLebbon #kindle #ereader

Bad Times at the El Royale - Movie Review: I can’t believe this is the first film Drew Goddard directed in 6 years, he really must’ve taken the time for this film. The last film he directed was The Cabin in the Woods which I really liked, he created his own original and unique style with that film. And that style can be seen throughout this movie which I believe is even better. I am getting a lot of Quentin Tarantino vibes in terms of style, plot and dialogue from this movie which is very reminiscent to Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight. I didn’t watch any of the trailers so I entered with an open mind, and I enjoyed it A LOT more than I thought I would. Even though it feels a lot like a Tarantino film, Goddard adds his own flavor to the genre with his own style of writing, dialogue and characters. Watching the characters trying to figure out what the heck is going on in this shady hotel played by extremely talented actors such as Jeff Bridges, John Hamm and newcomer Cynthia Erivo is probably one of the most fun times I had all year in the theaters even though a lot of the characters are such dicks. The heart and soul of this movie is the chemistry between Jeff and Cynthia, you really feel like there is something special about them. The rest of the characters also do have a sensible reason to be at the El Royale as well so I liked the fact that Goddard fleshed all of the characters out and their motivations. The mystery is what drives this movie from beginning to end, waiting for what will happen next with some thrilling, and some exciting moments. This is one of the biggest surprises of the year and I highly recommend it to anyone out there, because this needs to be successful at the box office damn it! It came in 7th place this weekend! FUCK! GOD DAMN IT VENOM WHY DID YOU HAVE TO BE SO SUCCESSFUL?!😂 8.3/10 #badtimesattheelroyale #drewgoddard #jeffbridges #cynthiaerivo #dakotajohnson #johnhamm #chrishemsworth #caileespaeny #lewispullman #movie #review #moviereview #moviereviewer #movies2018 #2018movies #moviereviews #mysterymovie #michaelgiacchino #2018moviereview #2018moviereviews #moviereview2018 #movies #reviews #filmcriticism #filmreview #filmreviews

Molto on the road. Molto #60s. E poi #dakotajohnson. Ragazzi a me lei non piace. Got my posters up for the Movie Alley courtesy of Movie Pass and AMCS A List.

The last time #drewgoddard stepped behind the camera to direct a film we ended up with #thecabininthewoods , it was at once a parody of the horror genre, whilst also being deeply unsettling, the marketing suggested something puzzle-like (just think back to That great poster image of a Rubik’s code cain) but held back the real twist leaving many jaws dropping to the floor, clearly this was a man who loved movies & knew how to openly dissect them while crafting his own classic utilising & twisting genre tropes. So, as the years passed Goddard reverted back to writing, the likes of #themartian & #worldwarz kept him sharp but neither were really as clever as Cabin. So as Goddard returns to hold the megaphone for the second time with #badtimesattheelroyale expectations are liable to be high, it least from those lovers of his past work, marketing & pre-word of mouth suggesting another clever genre-dissection with nary but a brief plot-outline released, something reflected in the similarly cryptic, but no less stylish, trailers, in this day & age restraint pre-release is all too rare with the majority of studio pictures suffering from a lack of that surprise element. This is also two pronged because given Goddard’s repertoire maybe I was expecting a lot, something that pulled the rug from beneath me as Cabin in the Woods did, alas #badtimesattheelroyale is not that film, it holds very little in the way of surprises & is not nearly as clever as it would have you think. In fact nor is it a #tarantino -esque pulp tale, Goddard’s dialogue whilst always solid is not quippy or witty enough to match up. What El Royale is, is a solid Noir fable, one that borrows from its genre stable-mates copiously but does little with those tropes. The plot, a number of abstract types convene unwittingly at a motel & ultimately reveal their true selves amidst an unfolding narrative that is crying out for some clever twist that never comes, I kept being reminded of the underappreciated #identity , a film that took a similar concept & crafted something far more entertaining from it. That said maybe it wasn’t Goddard’s intent to create another genre-autopsy, more an homage to a largely

𝐁𝐚𝐝 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐞 A post JFK conspiracy theory thriller unlike anything you’ve seen in theaters. A pure character study play that if given a space on broadway would sweep the Tonys. A story riddled with twists and turns commentating on a United States bent on taking its darkest secrets to the grave. An ensemble of beautifully flawed and full characters that will leave you in awe of their depth. A film chalk full of sinners, dreamers, and opportunists all in pursuit of their own American dreams. Along with it, a soundtrack that would make Tarantino blush in his wake. Don’t think, buy your ticket and go. #badtimesattheelroyale #drewgoddard #chrishemsworth #jonhamm #jeffbridges #cynthiaerivo #review #instagood #instadaily #picoftheday #losangeles #hollywood

Twisty, Turning, Wild Ride! This starts out smart, meanders a little off course, but comes back strong. All the performances are FIRE! So GOOD! The stand out for me was Lewis Pullman...WOW!! Checked out “Bad Times at the El Royale” 🍿💰 Seven strangers come across one another when they check into the El Royal, secrets from each of their pasts are soon brought to light. I really enjoyed this movie. It’s a fun thriller that is elevated by its amazing cast of characters, set design and music. It was interesting to see all the pieces of this mystery come together. It does run a bit long but overall I was satisfied with this film and the ride it took me on. All the actors were great but I think that Cynthia Erivo was the stand out. Definitely recommend checking this one out. #badtimesattheelroyale #drewgoddard #harryatthemovies ##jeffbridges #cynthiaerivo #dakotajohnson #jonhamm #chrishemsworth #lewispullman #nickofferman #caileespaeny #mystery #thriller #regalcinemas #movie #moviescenes #myreview #nowplaying

Quintons review: Bad Times at the El Royale is a fun, trippy, and dark movie that I mostly enjoyed! Im always into under the radar pulp fiction movies and this one really caught my attention because of the edgy trailers and the all-star cast. While it was no where near what I thought it would be going into it, I still really dug it. The cast is great (Cynthia Erivo being my personal favorite), Drew Goddard did an amazing job directing and writing this film, I was extremely invested in all the characters and their backstories, and I loved how the film kept the audience guessing. However, my favorite thing about this movie is by far the cinematography; there was not a single shot of this film that disappointed me and the way color and symmetry are used made it just that much better! Honestly, I only had a few problems with this movie. It is definitely slow at times and there were points where I completely checked out because I was super bored, it felt a little too long, the last 15 minutes or so didnt really do it for me, and I thought there were some poor editing choices that were both jarring and confusing. All in all, despite a few problems Bad Times at the El Royale is a mostly enjoyable film. I will absolutely recommend this movie to everyone but advise that you go in knowing as little as possible to get the full effect of this movie and my score is 7.5/10! . . . #badtimesattheelroyale #chrishemsworth #johnhamm #dakotajohnson #jeffbridges #cynthiaerivo #lewispullman #caileespaeny #drewgoddard #mostlyenjoyable #kindaslow #recommend #nospoilers #movies #films #reviews #7.5

Bad Times at the El Royale is written and directed by Drew Goddard and features an ensemble cast including Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Erivo, Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm, Cailee Spaeny, Lewis Pullman, Nick Offerman and Chris Hemsworth. Seven strangers cross paths at the El Royale, an old run-down hotel on the border of California and Nevada, each with something to hide. As the film progresses we see their stories intertwine, slowly revealing what led them there in the first place. Bad Times at the El Royale was a movie I was really looking forward to ever since its first trailer. Director and writer Drew Goddard has worked on a ton of projects that I’ve really enjoyed including Cloverfield, The Martian, Netflix’s Daredevil, and one of my favorite movies of all time, The Cabin in the Woods. You combine him writing and directing this movie with an all star cast of actors, an aesthetic I like, and a genre I really like, I was expecting this to be a home run. Bad Times at the El Royale ends up being a decent time, but not quite the great time I had hoped for. (Continued in comments)

~kush Someone finally gave Producer #DrewGoddard the Quentin Tarantino 1990s Toy Playset in 2018. Don’t get that mistaken, Director and Writer of #CabinInTheWoods is great with ensembles and he knows where to place the pieces of his characters on the chess board that is #BadTimesAtTheElRoyal Two Characters, walk into a hotel and meet a wacky character, who meet another wacky character… and Oops now theyre in a situation, that’s trumped by another situation with another wacky character trumped by another wacky situation that takes place before this wacky situation… ...NOW WE’RE IN VIETNAM!!!... Its a lot of fun in the same vein of #SmokingAces and 2006s #RunningScared and even #PulpFiction. There’s tension and comedy, there’s style and grit, while being scared for the characters as we have fun with them. The only occurring theme that is clear in the movie is balance. While the rooms of the El Royale are characters in their own right, our actual characters chew the scenery not just with monologues, but with looks and gestures. I was in a position where I had to see this movie in two separate visits to the theater. I’m glad I came back, as I was enjoying the first half but you never know, these things can fall flat real fast. Broadway Actress #CynthiaErivo, keeps your attention the entire time. It feels like they force her to sing too much in this movie, however every one of her performances are fantastic. #JeffBridges is great as the alcoholic former bank robber ex con, whose alias carries the namesake of a Tron reference. #LewisPullman is the stand out of the movie as the hotel’s multipurpose employee, (Bellman, Bartender, Desk Clerk, Housekeeping, etc), with many layers to that onion that you never see coming. The rest of the cast, #JonHamm #DakotaJohnson #CalieeSpaeny and of course #ChrisHemsworth all kill it in their performances. I enjoyed this movie, but I feel its going to find its audience on Netflix. Four Blueberries out of Six Kush Hayes of @KushAndKai on Instagram. Bad Times at the El Royale = (3.2/5) — Being one of the best trailers of the year doesn’t necessarily mean a movie will be great, one good example is Bad Times at the El Royale. Granted that it got a strong and stellar cast with top notch performances, there are just too many disappointments to mention in this film which greatly overpowered with those everything I liked. Drew Goddard is a great writer and director, in fact I have loved every single work he has done, but he just boiled himself on this one. I get that this movie is clearly unique but he tries so hard to be Quentin Tarantino in this movie, as a fan of Goddard I would be straightforward to say that things did not quite work the way he wanted this to movie to be, well that’s for me; probably like a Walmart version Tarantino movie. There are no engaging dialogues which along the way, he loses his own plot; a certain scene will have a big impact, then a very long stretch of dreadful sequences, then another big impact, and the cycle goes on... although I was still intrigued with the events, the pacing of the movie was just really slow and dull which makes the movie long that seemed like it’s extra long. And also the line between California and Nevada in the hotel which we thought it’s interesting had actually no relevance in the story. Despite all my negative thoughts, I don’t think this is a bad movie because I still quite enjoyed it and the third act was good.. but I might not recommend this film to everyone. — Starring: Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Erivo, Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm & Chris Hemsworth Director: Drew Goddard Movie watched: October 13, 2018 — Would I recommend? MAYBE

Bad Times at the El Royale features a great cast giving solid performances across the board, but it’s story isn’t enough to support this talent. The plot to the film is like a Tarantino film, and it’s downfall is that it never delivers on the teases mystery of the El Royale hotel. We don’t know what was actually happening there, despite knowing what each character was doing. While this is my largest complaint of the film, it doesn’t detract from the fun of the film. Every single cast member delivers a great performance, and with Cynthia Erivo pipes giving great musical performances through our, the cast saves the movie and makes this an entertaining but not memorable flick. 6.5/10 #BadTimesattheElRoyale #JeffBridges #DakotaJohnson #ChrisHemsworth #JonHamm #CynthiaErivo #LewisPullman #NickOfferman #CaileeSpaeny #XavierDolan #SheaWhigham #DrewGoddard

Agatha Christie/Hitchcock/Tarantino inspired pulpy film noir goodness with a soulfully exquisite soundtrack. Highly enjoyable, despite the unoriginality and unnecessary runtime, but bravo Drew Goddard, loved it. Score: 3.75/5

I just saw Bad Times at the El Royale. Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoes El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption - before everything goes to hell. I was really looking forward to this film because I loved the trailers because it looked like my kind of film and it was directed by Drew Goddard who did The Cabin in the Woods which was a great Horror film and so I saw the movie today and man it did not disappoint because I absolutely loved this movie and its officially my favourite movie of 2018. All the performances from the ensemble cast are fantastic from Jeff Bridges, Dakota Johnson and Jon Hamm are great and they characters are great too but the standouts for me are Cynthia Erivo who plays singer and she was amazing and shes going to have a bright future, Lewis Pullman who is actually Bill Pullmans son was great as the concierge but my favourite was Chris Hemsworth who was amazing as this Cult Leader which is easily his best performance imo and deserves an Oscar. the directing and writing by Drew Goddard was fantastic alot of great tracking shots especially a  and the writing as an Edgar Wright meets Tarantino vibe from it like what if Wright and Tarantino made a movie together it will be this and the music by Michael Giacchino was also great. This movie is 141 minutes which is quite long and so that might bother some people but it didnt bother me because I was loved the characters and the story it flew by. Overall I loved Bad Times at the El Royale its now my favourite movie of 2018 and its such a shame that this is not doing well at the box office, I think this might become a cult classic. Im giving Bad Times at the El Royale an A+. #BadTimesatheElRoyale #ChrisHemsworth #JeffBridges #CynthiaErivo #DakotaJohnson #JonHamm #CaileeSpaeny #LewisPullman #DrewGoddard #Movie #Film #Cinema

I’m terribly critical of movies, with no qualifications to be, other than an unsolicited, wannabe artsy opinion ;p, but this movie I thoroughly enjoyed. The use of space and shot framing, the appropriate distilled silence and slowed pace at times, the use of music throughout , though the score I didn’t particularly like, the use was fantastic. So once again my unsolicited opinion - this Tarantino-esque gem- 👌🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️. . . . . #movies #moviereview #badtimesattheelroyale #drewgoddard #cinema

Insta Review: Bad Times at the El Royale When four strangers check into the El Royale, they are soon made aware that not everyone is as they appear to be, including the motel. Taking place over the course of one night, what follows is a captivating mystery that unfolds before your eyes as the characters cross paths leaving you guessing as to who will survive their night at the El Royale. Without ruining any details, the story is brought to live by superb casting. Everyone is both brilliant and believable in their roles with Chris Hemsworth being the standout in a role different to anything he has brought to the big screem before. Drew Goddards film is a compelling love story to film noir that not only deconstructs the classic genre but has you entertained from beginning to end. The less you know about the film, the better. But is definitely a must see for 2018.

Set in 1969, “Bad Times at the El Royale” follows seven strangers who meet one night in a shady hotel on the California-Nevada border📽 - I was excited for this movie the moment I saw the trailer months ago, it was a great trailer, didn’t give away too much of the plot, & left us wanting more. I was just SO intrigued by the concept of the film and was really anticipating the movie. - I expected to love this movie, but I ended up (just) liking it, it’s not bad, but perhaps my expectations were too high (I also think the official synopsis is a bit inaccurate/misleading, but I can’t explain why as it’d be a spoiler - so the synopsis I wrote are my own words). Overall I still quite enjoyed it. - The neo-noir style was executed really well, which director Goddard nailed. The style & direction of the film were definitely the best / my favorite things about it. - I was on the edge of my seat, hooked throughout most of the film wanting to know more and what will happen next, but the ending drags on for a bit. It’s also quite slow-paced all throughout, which I didn’t mind (for the most part) since I was absorbed into the film, but that being said, I know it won’t be for everyone though. - Even though we were given a great, clear understanding of who the individual characters as well as their respective backstories, I think the main plot could’ve been more developed, I just felt like I needed more of the actual story. - Jeff Bridges & Cynthia Erivo’s characters stood out among the rest, they had great performances, & all characters were relatively interesting, but I personally wish we saw more of Jon Hamm. - Overall, it’s a good movie, I enjoyed it, I liked trying to figure out what’ll happen next, Goddard’s direction, the great cinematography & well-executed classic neo-noir style. I just wish it was done with more main story development, and a shorter run time. 7.6🌟

Going into this film, I had no expectations whatsoever really. I didnt know the premise, I didnt watch any of the trailers; all I knew is the cast was fucking incredible and Drew Goddard was returning after the fantastic Cabin in the Woods and man Ive got to say this film blew me away. Bad Times at the El Royale is like a cleaner, less gritty, more neon soaked Hateful Eight. Going in, the one thing I did expect was it to be an action film but it was more of a slow burn mystery, and I loved that. I feel like Drew Goddard really is wearing his influences on his sleeve here as the film reeks of Tarantino. Its like Hateful Eight set in a hotel. Its like Pulp Fiction set in a hotel. But thats not a bad thing at all. While other directors would use these influences like I thought this was cool or whatever, Goddard uses these with purpose, particularly the films fantastic structure. The structure is very reminiscent of Pulp Fiction and its extremely effective for the story Goddards trying to tell. The visuals complimented the story excellently. The cinematography is honestly some of my favourite of the year, all captured on beautiful 35mm. It was fucking stunning. The performances were all utterly fantastic, apart from Cailee Spaeny who was the worst thing about the film. She wasnt awful but like she didnt sell her character incredibly well. On the other hand, christ what an ensemble cast. I was just writing a sentence about which characters were the most interesting and I ended up mentioning every major character. Its kind of awesome how well Drew Goddard managed to create these unique and fascinating personas for each of the characters he presents. Each character their individual stories were intriguing and I found myself wanting to know so much more about their characters. As well as that, each of their performances were all utterly fantastic. If I were to narrow it down, Jeff Bridges, Lewis Pullman and Dakota Johnsons characters were the most captivating for my money. As well as Hemsworth, whose Charles Manson/Jim Morrison-esque character was a hell of a lot of fun to watch. (Concluded in comments)

-continued- That Really has no impact to the film whatsoever if I’m honest. If the hotel had been placed just in California or Nevada, it really wouldn’t have made that much difference, apart from maybe a few different dialogue scenes, that’s it. Not really a massive complaint, just felt a bit wasted. Please go watch Bad Times, such a shame to see a film this good, slip so far under the radar. A perfect watch from me, it has everything I wanted. Great, fun dialogue, a great setting, a brilliant soundtrack, gorgeous visuals and just the best ensemble cast. I loved it. #badtimesattheelroyale #drewgoddard

Last night I saw Bad Times at the El Royale and I would definitely recommend it. The story is great and the acting is brilliant, especially Chris Hemsworth. There was a bit of a pacing issue and a couple overlong scenes but apart from that it is a must-see. #bluray #blurays #films #movies #bluraymovies #bluraycollection #moviecollection #bluraycollector #badtimesattheelroyale #elroyale #drewgoddard #chrishemsworth #jonhamm #jeffbridges #review #moviereviews #filmreview

Venom is still a huge hit, staying at top of box office with 35 millions this week. New Tom Hardy flick has already 142 millions from US and 235 m. Worldwide. And that all in just two weeks in theaters...Sony can be really happy with results, even tho critics arent very excited... A Star Is Born is also a smash hit, this popular musical, directional debut of Bradley Cooper made 28 millions this week and has already 94millions. Sadly, new movies this week werent such a success even tho the movies are really cool. Thriller Bad Times At The El Royale made just 7 millions and debuted at number 7. Drew Goddards new dark flick is saddly a financial flop... First Man ended A little bit better, but still disappoitingly with earning 16 millions in its first week. #boxoffice #movies #venom #tomhardy #firstman #ryangosling #ladygaga #astarisborn #bradleycooper #badtimesattheelroyale #chrishemsworth #drewgoddard

Bad Times at the El Royale: With this film, and after The Cabin in the Woods, writer/director Drew Goddard has officially joined the pantheon of writers and directors whom I would watch anything that they make. This chapter-movie was seriously funny. It was witty, smart as hell, genre-eschewing, dark but not macabre and just littered with visual and literary puns and gags. And it was also so very well cast. A bottleneck film that trapped its character and had fun exploring their identity. Goddard weaved together a brilliant, intelligent, original film that not only entertained but also provided a subtext of social commentary. Cynthia Erivo and Lewis Pullman stole the show, but Chris Hemsworth, Jeff Bridges, Jon Hamm and Dakota Johnson all played their roles so bloody well! In all, this film may not be for everybody, but I absolutely had a good time in the cinema! (Full review at bio)

Seeing @ElRoyalemovie ( #BadTimesAtTheElRoyal) at my local @Regalmovies. Directed by: #DrewGoddard. Starring: @theJeffBridges, @CynthiAerivo, @DakotaJohnson, #JonHamm and @ChrisHemsworth . In this film, we follow the story of several strangers who arrive at a desolate hotel, only to see that one of them might be hiding a secret...or two! This film is insane (in the most modest way possible) although there is quite a bit of gore and action, its definitely nothing extreme, it was more of the story that impressed me and how it uniquely covered all 7 strangers lifes in flashback style sequences and brought us closer not only to the unique and brilliantly mastered and written character pieces, but to the perplexing mystery/thriller-like story elements that are unique and individual while doing it all in a original and well crafted manor. This is one of those ones thats really hard to explain (especially without spoiling it) so thats as in deph as Ill go character and plot wise. The directorial work is some of the best Ive seen this year, and #ChrisHemsworth gives an amazing performance you have to see, dont miss this amazing film! Im giving @ElRoyalemovie 🏨🏨🏨🏨 vacant hotels. Go and see this one...NOW 👍 Grab some pocorn and join me next time when... #CarsonGoesToTheMovies!™ #BadTimesAtTheElRoyalMovie #BadTimesAtTheElRoyaleMovieReview #ClassicCinemas #MatineeMovieDay
