‼️TURN YOUR SHOULDERS INTO BOULDERS(Part 1)🔽 — In my video, one thing I did not mention is the muscles of rotator cuff. These muscles should be strong and ready for a demanding exercise like the DB shoulder press because they stabilize the shoulder. To be sure that these muscles are ready, I always start by doing some cable internal and external rotation exercises🔑 — Your deltoid is split into three different groups 1️⃣the anterior deltoid, which you use for shoulder flexion (raising your arm up). 2️⃣Lateral delt, which is responsible for shoulder abduction (lateral raise). 3️⃣Rear deltoid, which primarily is responsible for horizontal shoulder abuduction (reverse fly)🆒 — These muscles are made up of approximately 50/50 type 1 (slow twitch) and type 2 (fast twitch) muscle fibers so using a combo of high and low reps is the best way to maximize growth💪🏼 — What I’ve found through research and experimentation of my own is that the higher the incline, the more activation of the deltoid⭐️ — Now for the big question... Dumbbell or Barbell⁉️ Keeping it short and sweet, trust me and go with the dumbbell shoulder press over barbell. For instance, when shoulder pressing, do you ever feel your traps working more than your delts? If so, here are some tips on how to execute a seated #dumbbellshoulderpress: ▪️Pull the #scapula back and down. By doing so, you’ll stabilize the traps and get the best possible output from the delts. ▪️Think about squeezing your elbows together on the ascent instead of pushing the weight up your hands. ▪️Control the weight on the way down.
