🍔Going Out To Eat When You’re Trying To Be Healthy🍕 . If you’ve started your fitness journey & get a tiny bit anxious/paranoid about going out to eat... . Let’s talk. . There are a few strategies I want to give you ⤵️ . 1️⃣Plan ahead of time. Look up the menu & have a few options ready to rock. . 2️⃣Plan your meals earlier in the day accordingly. If you want to have an epic, slightly “unhealthy” meal at night, have some “healthier” stuff earlier in the day. Like veggies, leaner sources of protein. “Healthy stuff”. . 3️⃣ Don’t feel bad about it. It’s one meal. If you ate a little bit more than you should, that’s okay. Enjoy the meal! . With all of this being said, I had a niiiiice dinner tonight consisting of: Brassica (Mediterranean Chipotle), a singular s’more (Holding back the urges to smash all of them), and a small glass of wine. . Earlier in the day I ate “healthier” (mostly veggies & lean sources of protein) to accommodate the meal tonight. . Hey everyone, here I have the most efficient way to lose fat faster than you think. I wasnt consistent with diet when I started. I had no one to guide me with the diet plan, so I had to make my own diet plan which suits my lifestyle. My weight loss had ups and downs. When you start your journey dont expect it to steadily drop, weight loss is always capricious. Moreover, you should focus more on fat loss than weight loss. There are fat loss pills, wraps, creams, etc. All these are just money making tactics, dont fall for it! Doing cardio all the time will never work, you have to add a little of strength training to it. Whatever you do, do it properly and stay consistent. Consistency is the key to success. Never expect the results to be seen in just weeks or months, its a journey not a sprint. You gut has approx. 1-2 pounds of bacteria. There is more bacteria in your gut than cells in your body. AND 90% of the happy hormone ‘serotonin’ is produced in your gut.😦 Which makes total sense as to why you may feel down after a week of poor food choices (gut disruption). Or waking up feeling mentally fogged up after a night of 🍕 and 🍦! . Eating processed food in moderation will not necessarily cause an imbalance in the gut, but at some point in your life if you had an eating imbalance, ate too many processed foods, or had major stress issues then your gut could be out of whack and need some LOVE.💚 . I picked 6 of these protein bars up earlier 3 in vanilla and 3 in strawberry. I got them from home bargains. Had the vanilla one in two halves over three hours. It was filling. The taste was ok not fantastic but not horrific, it did leave a strange after taste sort of like a powdery taste. It was like a fudgey texture but with a powdery residue. I’d love to know what low sugar low fat high protein bars ppl have. And honestly...it was challenging getting back on the train today to get a post up. Especially because Im a little behind with work for my clients. . But this is extremely similar to missing a workout or having a weekend of eating like a turd & then trying to get back to the fitness grind. . Although I enjoy posting on Instagram (&social media as a whole), its a challenge for me. . As is working out consistently & making a change with nutrition for a lot of people. It’s a challenge. . Just because I missed one day of posting on IG & my momentum momentarily stopped, that doesnt mean it stops forever. . With the fitness stuff, its going to be challenging to get back to the grind. But you know what happens when you dont work out or dont care about nutrition - nothing. You end up losing progress. . When you take productive, consistent action (whether that be posting on IG every day for your business or working out 4 times per week for your health), theres only upside. . 💪Fitness Tip #251: How to Perform the Half-Kneeling Pallof Press for Core Exercise Benefits ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💥 The Pallof Press (named after physical therapist John Pallof) is a static-based core exercise with a number of variations you can use whether at beginner or advanced fitness levels (although you can perform this exercise virtually anywhere outside of the gym, including at home, with a resistance band). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Pallof Press consists of resisting trunk rotation, or anti-rotation, which is a contrast from the more dynamic movements such as Russian Twists or the Trunk Rotation Machine, seen in most commercial gyms, which involves twisting of the torso. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👨‍⚕️ While the torso does not move during the Pallof Press, the core musculature is still under significant tension to resist movement and maintain stiffness of trunk and spine. Renowned spine doctor, Dr. Stuart McGill has even given the Pallof Press a 👍. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🤷‍♂️ The Pallof Press has a number of different variations ranging from Half-Kneeling, Standing, Split Stance, and Supine (Lying on Back). #dessert So I completely forgot to photograph my dinner. We had baked porkchops and cauliflower rice (packaged, microwaveable kind). I was craving something sweet so I tried a variation of a 90 second bread recipe Ive seen from @21daymealplan I doubled the recipe and it made 3 portions like the one picture so Im guessing its 3 cups of bread. Single recipe is 4 tablespoons of almond flour, 1 tablespoon of plain greek yogurt (we use fat-free), 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1 egg. I doubled the ingredients, and since I wanted it to be like a cake, I added 3 tablespoons of tapioca syrup, a pinch of salt, and cinnamon. Mixed everything in a microwaveable container (I spayed it with grapeseed oil first). Placed in microwave for 3mins and voila! Then I made some blackberry syrup. I placed 3/4 cup water, 1/3cup of brown raw cane sugar, and 2 small containers of blackberries (they were on sale) in a saucepan. Brought them to a simmer for about 5minutes. Topped with regular whipped cream. It was an experimental recipe and it was soo good! My husband loved it. So yes its not super healthy. Hormonal birth control is doctor-prescribed hormonal imbalance via synthetic steroid drugs. • These drugs override our natural hormone function & prevent ovulation, thus effectively preventing us from producing progesterone - a crucial piece to the puzzle for a females vitality & well-being. Day 10 ADF. Fast day. Today was a little hard around lunch. My stomach was growling but luckily that stopped. I’m always hungry the day after eating junky. I think this week I’ll do 4:3 instead of true ADF. Now I have my sisters birthday dinner Sunday which was supposed to be a fast day. And I have dinner plans with my fiancé’s family on Saturday so I can’t even switch eat and fast days again. Tomorrow will be my 3rd fast day this week so the numbers still even out, just in a a different pattern.

We have good and bad days when it comes to every aspect of our life. We might feel shitty that we had a bad day at work or in the gym, but we typically don’t feel guilty about it or feel the need to excessively make up for it the next day. Most of the time we just move on & try to have a better day tomorrow • So why doesn’t the same apply when it comes to food? We feel guilty for eating pizza. We beat ourselves up about the fact that we couldn’t resist dessert. We feel like we need to work out more to burn off the extra food we ate • We constantly punish ourselves with these paradigms. We tell ourselves that we failed. We begin to doubt our ability to make progress. And we create a fearful, negative relationship with food • But what would happen if we stop thinking of food as good vs bad? The truth is, food is just food. Yes, some food has a more nutritious offering while other food may not offer us much more than the fact that it tastes damn good. But both certainly have their place • Instead, what if we shifted our mindset to think about food in terms of good, better, and best? Take away labeling food as “bad” and watch your feelings of fear, restriction and guilt around those foods begin to dissipate • Maybe today wasn’t your best day and that’s OKAY. We get a chance to do better tomorrow • And how do we get better? By practicing • Here’s some simple things we can all do right now to practice better nutritional habits & prepare ourselves to have more ‘better’ days: • ⚡️Pre-prep food for the week. This helps prevent things like ordering pizza after getting home late with no food in the house (who feels like cooking after a long day? Not me🙅‍♀️) • ⚡️Focus on adding in more nutrient dense food as opposed to restricting yourself from foods deemed “off-limits.” This helps create a more positive mindset around food. And the best part- by filling up on the nutritious stuff, we crave the indulgent stuff less • ⚡️Remind ourselves often that we can be in constant pursuit of building the best version of ourselves without punishment when things don’t go as planned • What’s one thing you do to set yourself up to have a good day?

FAT LOSS GROCERY LIST!!! - So many people are mindlessly walking through the grocery stores. Mindlessly loading up things they don’t need. If you’re really serious about fat loss, you should go into the grocery store like it’s a military operation. You should have a plan, know what you need AND don’t waiver from the plan. Of course, getting some foods that you like makes adherence to your diet better. But at least 80% of your cart should consist out of these 4 groups. - 1️⃣ Proteins. 2️⃣ Complex carbs. 3️⃣ Fruits and vegetables. 4️⃣ Healthy fats. - You don’t really need more!!! Seriously, keep things simple. Don’t load up on candy and chocolate. Of course having some is possible, but don’t load up on it. If what you’re doing isn’t working why are you okay with staying there? . . Have you convinced yourself that you don’t have the money to reach your goals and therefore have given up trying? . . Rather than giving into that idea I want you to challenge it. Think of the money you’re spending that is going towards everything you don’t actually need. . . Is it that $5 Starbucks beverage each morning? . . That automatic magazine subscription you never read? . . The multiple take-out orders during the week or extra cocktails on the weekends? . . The new outfits you keep buying because your old clothes are too tight & you keep trying to convince yourself that a new outfit will help you feel more comfortable & confident? . . Now add all that up. What does that leave you with? Does it leave you with enough money to put it towards the things that matter? Towards the things that will bring you LONG TERM success rather than that instant gratification? . . If you ask me there is no amount of money not worth putting towards your values. When I started paying for things that mattered, I started to pay more attention. More attention to myself & my health. As a result, good things just keep happening. . . Never forget how far you’ve come 💜 The physical changes are obvious. 150lb vs 120lb. Size 11 vs size 0/3. 👏 Pretty impressive, huh? However, what is not so obvious is the physical strength gained, the confidence built, the sweat and tears shed, the ups and the downs, the bad habits left behind, and most importantly the mental strength gains. 🧠 I am now a better wife, daughter, sister, friend, and nurse because I am stronger, and when you feel strong, you want to make others around you feel strong. 🥰 It honestly sounds so corny, but weightlifting saved my life. 🌺 #strength
