And that’s a wrap! Day 80/80. 80 days, 13 weeks, timed nutrition, lots of sweat and a huge amount of commitment. Was it worth it?!?! heck yes. I have a huge feeling of accomplishment 💪 Feeling strong, healthy and energized.

The first picture was taken 3 and a half months ago and the second picture was taken today. . The first picture I was already 4 months into my fitness journey but it was the first time I gained enough confidence to take a picture that revealing! I so wish I was brave enough to take one back in January! 😳 . Anyways the point of this is to start today! More has changed than just my body. I don’t feel tired all the time. I don’t live off of processed foods. I don’t end up eating leftover ice cream from my classroom party out of the carton during my planning time until I feel sick to my stomach. I have confidence. I have a healthy relationship with food. I eat a balanced diet and have treats when I want to in moderation. I have self control. . The days are going to keep going whether you start or not! Why not take your before pictures today and go out and do something to reach your goals. Take it day by day one healthy choice at a time! I started out eating super healthy and going cold turkey on treats because I had NO self control. Now I literally eat what I want when I want it because I have the self control to not binge and eat like 1000 calories of junk at once. . If you ever have any questions feel free to message me! Sometimes Saturdays call for donuts! We were out running errands this morning and drove by this cute little donut shop and decided to give it a try • The old Shay would have stressed for the rest of the day about eating a donut accompanied by excessive guilt for “eating something bad” • But not anymore. Today I ate the donut (and you better believe I enjoyed it 😋), logged it, and moved on with my day guilt free • I’ve come to realize that there’s no such thing as “good” or “bad” food. I choose to eat real, nutrient-dense food the majority of the time sprinkled in with some treats every once in a while • Healing my relationship with food has taken time and it’s still a work in progress. Wicked pissed off right now...🙍‍♀️ (Hi btw 🙋‍♀️) Not that mad, just... ugh smh Its kind of hard to say but for absolutely no logical reason I binged yesterday and am now a couple pounds heavier. Its definitely just inflamation, its just frusterating to go backwards, get the willpower to start again, then mess up, get the willpower to start again, to mess up, etc. So, what did i get the bright idea to binge on yesterday? *ahem* 🎵1 bowl of icecream, 2 peices of salmon, 3 mozereella sticks, 4 peices of toast with 4 poached eggs, 🎺5 MOZERELLA STICKS!!! 🎺 4 stale cookies, 2 fudge sticks that werent even that good, which 2500 calories...🎶 Obviously i cant give advice, but i think that binging is simply just a habit. Im slowly getting in the habit. But on a positive note, i could have ate way more because at my friends house there was a pizza lying on the table that the gods were CLEARLY telling me to eat... and i didnt. I said im not gonna do the ill start tomorrow crap, ill start right now even though i f*d up already. And now i feel waaayyy better than i would have. So im still happy because a couple months ago i was binging every night. I will meet my goal, i will fit in these pants, I have to remember WHAT do i want, and will stufffing this food in my face get me there? As far as keto goes, i have been looking into it, and decided against it. Because apparently your body ends up blowing up after a couple carbs? Idk, if anyone does id love to hear what you think. Im going to be doing1200 cals and intermittent fasting, and exercise even though its way harder because i like putting calories in my face. I tried for decades to lose weight with zero success. The actual answers man surprise you... .. ➡️I wanted to make this infographic to simply show the differences in volume, size, and overall portions of the different foods. .. ➡️Each of the foods listed below can all be 100 calories…however, the volume is all different. You can eat a lot of blueberries and chicken breast for 100 calories vs having those two Oreos and 1 Tbsp peanut butter. Is this saying you shouldn’t eat those 2 Oreos or peanut butter? .. ➡️NO! This is just a friendly reminder that..even if you are eating “healthy” you can still gain weight. .. ➡️Lets look at the almonds for example. An excellent source of healthy fats and nutrients. However, did you know that only 14 almonds = 100 calories? How often have you just eaten straight out of the bag…not knowing how many you ate? Almonds are not making you gain weight...consume to many calories per day is. .. ➡️The next culprit is peanut butter. 1 Tbsp of peanut packs 100 calories. Peanut butter its self isn’t making you gain weight…but consuming large amounts = large amounts of calories. .. ➡️The point of this post is to become more AWARE. Become aware of what your nutrition and fitness goals are. If you are hungry, I’d opt for foods that have more volume like the chicken or blueberries. IPA vs. Kolsch by @destinationnutrition - I wanted to post something a little more fun this weekend so here we are talking about beer! Most people don’t know this, but I spent sever years selling craft beer with a majority of that time working for Bell’s Brewery. I’m going to pit two beer styles against each other just because I can! • • Today’s contenders? The mighty IPA and the underdog Kolsch. The IPA is one of the most popular styles out there. Honestly it’s become pretty mainstream at this point. You can find one on draft or in bottle in just about any restaurant or bar you go to. Kolsch, on the other hand, is starting to catch up in popularity, but still not as easy to find. • • IPA’s are known for their hoppy, and sometimes bitter, qualities. For a long time there was an arms race on what Brewery could use the most hops. It wasn’t pleasant on the palette, that’s for sure. Now, it seems, the trend has shifted to the juicy New England style IPA and hazy milkshake style IPAs. These IPAs drink more like a dessert than the do anything else. I’d really like to know what happened to the classic IPAs.A lot of IPAs tend to have a higher ABV, usually ranging from 6-8% with Double IPAs even higher than that. This makes it tough to drink a lot of unless you’re jonesing for a hurting the next day. I’ll probably be the minority in saying out with IPAs and in with.... • • Kolsch! A German style ale that originated in Cologne, this beer is meant to be drinkable. It’s light bodied, clean, crisp, flavorful, and so so delicious. The generally low ABV makes it easy to sit down and drink several throughout the day without feeling terrible the next morning. I respect that most breweries that make Kolsch keep it classic. I’ve seen a few variations out in the wild like coffee or lightly fruited, but not much else. At least not in the way that IPAs have gone. If you slam a pint of each in front of me I will take Kolsch 10 out of 10 times, all day every day! • • As a former beer industry vet, I’m so curious as to which you’d pick in this battle! 💥FAT LOSS GROCERY LIST!!!💥 by @mazerfitness - Today I was walking through the grocery store, getting some caffeine, and what I saw literally shocked me. So many people are mindlessly walking through the grocery stores. Mindlessly loading up crap they don’t need. If you’re really serious about fat loss, you should go into the grocery store like it’s a military operation. You should have a plan, know what you need AND don’t waiver from the plan. Of course, getting some foods that you like makes adherence to your diet better. But at least 80% of your cart should consist out of these 4 groups. - 1️⃣ Proteins. 2️⃣ Complex carbs. 3️⃣ Fruits and vegetables. 4️⃣ Healthy fats. - You don’t really need more!!! Seriously, keep things simple. Don’t load up on candy and chocolate. Whooop whoop I finished my first mesocycle after my injury! 🤗 Been easing back into training for the past 6-8 weeks, trying to linearly progress as much as I can. My programme focused on getting back into the grove of things, especially with my main lifts (bench, deadlift, squat) and maximize hypertrophy and get my whole (central nervous) system used to load again. 👌🏼Definitely got stronger, literally doubled the weight I can move on some exercises, especially happy about my upper body and squat strength (+15kg), bench technique and about how my shoulder is doing.🤓 Hypertrophy was also a success, added almost 2cm to my arms💪🏼1.5 to my quads (omg yass), 2cm to my shoulders and 1 to my calves (thanks hiking!) 😎🤙🏼 Next cycle, bring it ooon with even more gaaaainz!�What gym/strength goals have you accomplished in the past few weeks/months? _________ carmenweninger.com for coaching requests
