LETS GET REAL - I am a woman and a mom, I have been super thin for my heigth (125lbs) as well as super heavy while pregnant (210lbs) and very fit! I have followed strict diets, ate intuitively and followed macros. I lift 5x a week and do HIIT as cardio BUT guess what I still have STRETCH MARKS and CELLULITE and you know what I DONT CARE! This picture shows both, you can see my stretch marks on my leg right under my butt running down my leg and you can see my dimply cellulite if it bothers you BYE 👋. I dont have time or negativity, to dish it or to receive it so if you dont like bum pics or ppl comfortable in their skin thats perfectly ok just dont follow them! I got myself this print by @daynaleecollection at a cute store in Miami Beach 2 years ago, and now it’s in my office.⠀ ⠀ I remember reading it and thinking, “YES! This will be my 2017!” Goals up the bum and so much excitement!⠀ ⠀ A few months in I remember starting to get some yucky feelings...Not hitting those goals and feeling like I sucked.⠀ ⠀ Reflecting back - 2017 was a huge year of expansion and growth! You know what happens during expansion? A ton of breakdowns...a ton...⠀ ⠀ But, soooooooooo worth it because I learned so much!⠀ ⠀ Interestingly it was a year of risk taking and not looking back! And I wouldn’t be the woman I am today had I not!⠀ ⠀ Thinking about that trip, that year, and looking at my Facebook memories and the proof of how much I have grown, had me in tears today...⠀ ⠀ And damn - I’m so proud of all I have created because of all the downs, I’m aligned! I’m clear on what I want to do and who I want to work with, and I’m stepping waaaaaaay out of my comfort zone. Ummmmmm book coming in 2019! Yesterday I challenged my team to make just a few advances in their workouts that would inch them closer to their goal. Then I got to thinking....hey, just because Im the coach doesnt mean I get some sort of exemption... . Another reason why this private group works so much....I literally messaged one of my girls last night and said..hey, why dont we make a goal this week to either modify for half and amp it up for half the minute or if youre feeling it, regular exercise without stopping for the whole minute . Sure as 💩 at 6 am she posted in the group that she handled that beast. Fast forward to when I pressed play. Seeing her push, and knowing she dragged her AS$ out of bed before the sun to get her workout in,helped me push and kept me motivated and accountable to doing the same!!! . REPLACE YOUR EXCUSES WITH EFFORT AND YOULL PUSH SO MUCH FARTHER THAN YOU EVER EXPECTED . How many times have you caught yourself going through the motions day in and day out just to tell people youve done the work and cant understand why you arent seeing any results?? I for one have said that about 1 bazillion times....NOT ANYMORE, not when you have the support and accountability we do... . “Talk to yourself as you would to someone you love.” -Brene Brown - I posted this quote this morning in my Fit Club. This is always such a great reminder to me. Far too often we beat ourselves up, sell ourselves short and don’t give ourselves enough credit. We tell ourselves we can’t do things, so we take ourselves out of contention before we even start!! - How many times have you said to yourself that you’re not as good, smart, funny, fast, strong, pretty (the list goes on and on) as someone else?! Probably too many to count!! It’s advice that I need to take myself, but when I hear people do this, I always tell them to talk to themselves as they would to a best friend or someone they love. Think about how you would talk to someone in your shoes. It’s amazing how much more positive and supportive those words are!! Try it next time! The first step is just to catch yourself when you start talking negatively. Then change the conversation into a positive one!

Why is it important to do the cool down after a workout? After any aerobic activity, the blood is pooled in the extremities, and the heartrate is elevated. The purpose of the cool-down is to bring the heartrate down to near-normal and to get the blood circulating freely back to the heart.
