I know I am smiling here. I know i have two angel babies on my hips. I know that im blessed beyond belief and that both my body and my life in general are ever changing as my journey continues.⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ But I cant make these frustrated feelings disappear. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ I want to heal. I want to heal so badly.⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Ive been back at the gym for about 8 months now and it has felt so incredibly good.⁣⁣⁣⁣ BUT within the last month or so Ive noticed some changes.⁣⁣⁣⁣ My abdominal gap seems wider, my hernia pushes out more and while Im lifting - or even coughing - it feels like im going to legitimately pop my stomach open.⁣⁣⁣⁣ I am constantly told not to life heavy. Not to do ab workouts. Be conscious of how I am breathing 24/7. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Im overwhelmed with it all and also feeling so very restricted. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ My insurance wont cover the physical therapy (that probably wouldnt really even be effective at this point).⁣⁣⁣⁣ I saw my OB for my one year checkup and she mentioned how long and wide my gap was. She even suggested looking into abdominoplasty to fix it.⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ I truly dont know how I could come to terms with surgery.⁣⁣⁣⁣ I dont want to lose my marks, the permanent map of my pregnancies.⁣⁣⁣⁣ I dont want to spend weeks healing.⁣⁣⁣⁣ As ashamed as I am to say it - I dont want to be judged for opting for surgery- though i would never judge anyone for their procedures.⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I just want to be at peace with this but when its causing me pain, discomfort and putting me at risk for a major hernia - I just cant find any peace in those feelings.⁣⁣⁣⁣ Has anyone had any progress with their DR after one year postpartum? Maintaining through the holidays is the same as maintaining throughout the year. - Take care of your mind. Write out daily gratitude. Read devotionals. Read personal development. - Eat more real whole food, less of processed, pre- made foods. - Drink plenty of water- probably even more due to traveling, late nights, and just running around. - Get movement in daily. Go for a walk. Do some stretching( love foam rolling) raise those positive endorphins and work out that stress. - Enjoy! Enjoy your treats- and move on. Surround yourself with people who’s company you enjoy. Make precious memories. - There are no extra workouts to “earn” my food or “work off” that extra cookie. There are no “cheat” or “treat” meals. It’s living life. Blending the knowledge of knowing what my body needs with a few extra goodies every now and then. It’s making sure I’m healthy in my mind and heart so that I can take care of my physical self and well as my littles. It’s every day showing up for myself and making the choice that I am worth showing up for in all these aspects- and doing it again tomorrow. - I didn’t always have this mindset or these habits in place. It took learning. A willingness and a desire to transform and become who I know I DESERVE to be. It’s not always easy, but knowing that I don’t have to do it alone takes away from the pressure. - I hope that this encourages you through this holiday season to take some time and focus on yourself- because as stresses rise the importance of doing so increases. 2018 has been a hell of a year for me, so I decided to give myself an early Christmas present: I booked the entire month of December off for all of my evening services. Some would consider this move professional suicide considering I had just opened up my new facility.... and a big part of me secretly feels guilty working less than 12 hours a day. BUT that is exactly what makes each day feel like Christmas. In my spare time, Im busy gearing up for 2019 and I even decorated my office because I want my clients to feel at home when they arrive for their services. We are closing shop Dec. 22 to Jan 2. Tuesday it is. Monday gone and I’m not sure how it went by so fast 💨 . And I’m feeling not perfect at all. I made tiny plans to get my preparation going and finalized for Christmas 🎄. Instead Emma now has a skin rush that itches her terribly. She has been whiny all day yesterday and today and she isn’t even back on track health wise after her nasty stomach flue... I am entirely out of it and as you can see from the pic, there are wrinkles, under eye circles and yes this nasty arm pit fat of mine! . Honestly, I had several moments today where I almost lost it. I just thought „I‘m a bad mom having not enough patience and I can’t even take care of my small to do list“ . So there it is I’m sharing my human part, not perfect at all but ordinary. I‘m a mom who tries her best every day but there also many moments where I struggle. And when I mean „struggle“ it’s the sort of „I need to scream out of the window and punch 🥊 a punching bag kinda“ moment. 🤬😬 . So instead of telling myself some negative stuff I had to remind myself just now that this is the wrong outlet. Our mind and the words we speak to ourselves are so powerful, it should be used to our advantage instead of the other way around. . I know it seems boring, but understanding nutrition labels is an essential skill. Love how @kimschlagfitness broke it down ❤️ . #Repost @kimschlagfitness ・・・ You may have heard that reading nutrition labels is important, but are you clear on which information you should be paying the most attention to out of all that fine print? If your goal relates to body composition (losing fat, building muscle or a combo of the 2) here are the 4 pieces of info you should hone in on: - 1️⃣Serving Size. This is key. All of the other 3 pieces of info are referring back to this number! Find it first. In the label example in the graphic (it’s cottage cheese) you see the serving size is 1/2 cup. - 2️⃣Number of servings. In this example there are six 1/2 cup servings. If you look at the right hand side of the graphic you can see one reason why the number of servings is so important. I don’t know about you, but to me, those boxes of candy at the movies seem made for one person in a single setting. Interestingly, they’re often more than 1 serving😮Some are 3+ servings! What about a pint of ice cream? Would you have guessed 4 servings?! What!? Can you imagine inviting 3 other people to share a pint of ice cream with you🤣 Ummm, no. - 3️⃣Calories. This is calories PER SERVING. So in the example on the graphic there are 80 calories in a 1/2 cup of a cottage cheese. If you could read the print on the box of M&Ms you’d see that it says 220 calories. That’s NOT for the box, it’s for 1 of the 2.5 servings in the box, which means if you ate the whole thing it would be 530 calories. That. Is a big difference. - 4️⃣Protein. Same deal here as for the calories. It’s written per serving. 11grams per 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. - Understanding how nutrition labels are written is important to not only achieve your body composition goals, but to be able to maintain them (which is what we all want after all😃) Hopefully you now have a better understanding of what to look for. Get in the habit of checking out labels and it’ll be second nature in no time. 💕💪 Kim

I remember being so excited to start a fitness program when I took this top pic. It was my first day of @kayla_itsines BBG program. Oh my gosh it kicked my butt at first. I almost quit so many times. 😂 I have changed so much between these pics. Almost exactly two years later. More than anything my mindset has changed. I went from wanting to be skinny to wanting to be strong. I learned that when I had a plan, was consistent and pushed myself I saw results. I’ve also learned to be patient & forgiving with myself. There are days that I totally sucked at the gym and everyone else seemed to have it together. That’s going to happen and it’s ok! I got over it and tried harder the next day. Its all part of the process! It’s been an amazing #fitnessjourney and I’m excited to see what this next year brings!! #transformationtuesday

Thought of the day. I’ve dreamed of when I’d have the job I love, beautifully decorated home, fun vacations planned, and stress-free simple life. My actions never quite aligned with my dreams. Ive been stalking this @yumnibbles Peanut Bread recipe for a while, and today is the day I finally made it! It literally have 4 ingredients: peanuts, eggs, salt, baking powder. I processed mine in the @vitamix (recipe calls for a food processor) and it turned out surprisingly light + moist (I was expecting dry + flakey because peanuts 🤷, so there is some magic wizardry going on with this recipe). The flavor is nutty and toasty, almost reminds me of filbert loaf, so I can attest that this doesnt taste like peanut butter cake (although that wouldnt be a bad thing). I topped my slice with my homemade ghee (tutorial in my highlights if you are interested in making homemade ghee). Oh, and each slice has only 2.6g Net Carbs. . Random thoughts on this #transformstiontuesday I feel like my newsfeed is filled with weight loss gimmicks and shortcuts. There’s no magic pills, shake, or wrap out there. There’s people you’ll see that have had surgeries to achieve their results. I’ve had supplement companies message me asking for me to do a post with their supplement. I always decline. I will always be real and 100% with you guys. I have gotten to this point without a coach and zero supplements. I have had zero cosmetic surgery’s. I have cellulite, stretch marks, saggy boobs.
