Arms & abs! I like to pair these two muscle groups together some weeks, especially when Im isolating bicep and tricep workouts to help stimulate some 💪growth. Remember to save this post for when youre in the gym! • Arms: 7x15 for each movement. *Seated hammer curls *Angled out bicep curls *Incline hammer curls *Incline bicep curls • Abs: 100 reps for each movement (modify the leg lifts by bending the knees). • If you watch my IG stories, youll know Ive been easing back into the gym slowly after sustaining a minor concussion last weekend. I have doctor approval to begin exercising again based on how Im feeling. • I took some time off work for a couple days following the accident & didnt workout Monday-Friday. Saturday I decided to see how it felt getting back into the gym. I kept all of my activity low-weight, seated or laying down & without pressing weight overhead. • I felt like it went very well! I kept everything low-impact but still very challenging (those incline curls will getcha!). • For the last 4 years, I seem to experience some kind of injury in November. Last year it was a broken toe, the year before that I nearly tore a ligament in my ankle & was on crutches for a couple months, the year before that I had a severe back injury. • But I dont use injuries as an excuse to give up or slack off on my goals. So long as its within doctor approval & doesnt cause further pain or injury, theres almost always a way to continue safely working out with the proper modifications. • Ive seen people use similar injuries to ones Ive sustained to completely give up on their fitness goals then blame the injury as the reason they gained 15-25lbs. • When I was on crutches, I gave my ankle the rest & recovery it needed in the 6 months it took to fully heal. But I didnt check out on any & all exercise for 6 months. Just because I couldnt do curtains kinds of activity didnt mean I couldnt do ANY kind of activity. I performed seated upperbody workouts & laid on the floor to do bodyweight leg exercises. • If youre struggling with an injury, talk to your doctor & then a qualified personal trainer to see how you can safely keep going after those goals. 💪

Managed to stand RIGHT in the ass crack of the mirror for this pic🙄👏🏼 O well. Anyways, Cohen and I got to my parents house last night. I came early to spend time with family that will be visiting, Nick will be coming next Wednesday because of work. But I do NOT want this trip home to be like the last one where I left feeling like total garbage. Plus with the transphormation challenge, I am determined to come out of it with some results💪🏼 I want to prove to my clients AND to myself that you can live your life and enjoy the holidays while still working towards your goal! ACTUALLY MAKING PROGRESS ⠀⠀ I figure it’s time for some fitness updates and #stephsfittips 💪 ⠀⠀ Finding a way to be accountable and intentional is key for me. Simply coasting, and hoping I get leaner and more defined by “winging it” has gotten me nowhere. Can you relate? 🙈 ⠀⠀ I’ve pulled My Fitness Pal back out but I am THE most flexible dieter ever. I watch total calories, try to hit my protein and fiber goals, and let carbs and fats do what they’re gonna do. ⠀⠀ You can be OCD and way too obsessive even with flexible dieting (which defeats the purpose). ⠀⠀ For me, this structure is just the right amount of flexibility but still remaining at a calorie deficit so that I’m FINALLY leaning down. ⠀⠀ Find what works for YOU! What an AMAZING weekend!!! It was so great to be back on stage after taking a year off to have my little man. I can’t thank everyone enough for all their love and support over the last 6 months of prepping for this show. It seriously means so much to me. Happy Monday! . . Today was supposed to be fasted cardio, but unfortunately for me, every treadmill was monopolized by people walking, so I had to improvise and do leg day. Im not talking shit about them, except....I couldve knocked out my cardio in 20mins, while they walked for over an hour.... I may be a little salty😒🤣🤷 . . Anyways, I ended up having a good leg day and Ill try for fasted cardio tomorrow.🏃‍♀️👟💨 . . What workout are you planning on? . . **I should mention: I dont shame people ever, especially for working out, but it was very frustrating for me that EVERY treadmill was taken by people(mainly younger women my age) who were using the sides to support themselves while they walked.... I mean what are you getting out of it if youre not even using it properly?!?

Did a leg/booty workout today after being away from the gym for four days. I needed this today. I feel so much better. I’m sure so many can relate to feeling tired and sluggish after too many days away from the gym. I feel refreshed and ready to tackle the week. Let’s go!!!! . Also I’ve been intermittent fasting for almost three months and adding in the keto diet here and there but not with fidelity. Today I’m going to continue my if diet but also begin being persistent with keto. I think this will get me to my goals because lately my clean diet with if hasn’t had the impact it used to. What I am realizing is Charlotte does not care about material things. Or the way I look. The happiest times involve me being super silly or taking her out to do something cool. It doesn’t matter that I was in my pajamas with extreme bedhead. She does NOT even notice. All the money parents spend on toys is USELESS in my mind. TIME spent and EXPERIENCES had. That’s what is meaningful. Our children just want us. They want our attention. They want our love. They won’t look back and think about how your hair was blow dried or how you wore high end clothing. This photo came up in my Facebook memories today. I was performing at a private event. I sometimes dont realize the significant transformation I have had. But then pictures like this appear. In two years, I have become healthier, stronger, happier and I know my body better than I ever have before. YOU. CAN. DO. IT. You just have to accept a few things (in my opinion): 1. Eating better wont be easy. You are going to have to adapt to the food modifications. Realize that one cheat meal here and there is ok, but for the most part, you ARE going to be that person in your crew that is difficult when going out to eat or youre that person that eats at home before going out. And that is ok-be the example! 2. You will be tired! Having a regular work out schedule will be tiring, at first. But your mind and body will adapt. After a while, it will just be part of your routine. The only time I can work out is in the early early morning (which is how I came to know about T-Fit). I was riding the struggle bus for quite some time, but soon enough, I was ok with getting up at 4:30AM or 5AM. After only 5 hrs of sleep I thought I would be on the struggle bus today but surprisingly not. I had a great workout. I started with a 2 mile warm up and went right into strength training. I havent really lifted heavy in about a year and I am happy to start hitting the bar again and gaining strength back. I jumped right into another 2 miles steady progression and 10 min 5.2 spin for a little brick workout. Have a blessed week. I cannot wait for my kids to be on Thanksgiving break next week.

Let’s talk about leggings...they are a staple in this fitness world, but how many of you wash them before wearing them?! I was watching @dr_oz the other day and he did a study on how dirty leggings that are “new” can be 😳 He mentioned how women will wear them and then return them. He found several different organisms in these leggings such as yeast, mold, and bacteria 🤢 Just wanted to share this with all of you. So wash those pretty new leggings and wear with confidence 😬

I read once that you are supposed to surround yourself with people that reflect who you want to be and how you want to feel because energy in contagious. These two beautiful women do exactly that! @adbobbitt has shows me what courage & strength truly looks like and @tlukenchuk is a ray of sunshine and consistently reminds me to smile.
