To me, living a healthy life is about tending to your whole being. Working out and eating right are only parts if it; it’s just as important to do things that feed you mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. For me, that means taking a pause when you need it, allowing yourself time to rest, reflect, and just be. I read, I get outside, I play with my dogs, I call my family, I stop and appreciate the blessings in my life and the beauty of the world around me. If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with the brilliant blue waters of the Caribbean and find such serenity and joy when I can be near it. Key West may not technically be the Caribbean, but it’s waters still worked their magic for me. Also, I need to focus on a better angle with less external rotation in my opinion. I don’t go super heavy on these as my shoulders are a weak point and are still developing. . . . INSTAGRAM WORKOUTS As much as I think they’re useful, I do think they can be harmful. They can either a) make the viewer feel as though they should look like the person doing the workout and, if they don’t, they’re inferior. Or b) imply that by doing that workout you will get the body of said #Fitspo. Neither of which I want to promote. Week 2 Day 3 Shoulders is done!! My abs are already sore from the ending core component, and my shoulders are feeling so good (for now 😋)! Today, I did shoulder flies without needing to drop my weights at all, which is a huge step up from last week! In almost two weeks, I already feel stronger, and that feels awesome!

Day 65!! Never miss a leg day! Legs were burning and wobbly when I was done. . . Two things I personally do while working out: . 1) As my body adapts to the weight I move up 5 pounds the next round. In order to start see results your body has to work under fatigue. So if my legs arent burning by round 3 Im not benefiting. . 2) After heavier workouts (I only do this mainly on leg, booty, and 1 cardio day) instead of having my shake for breakfast Ill eat a more balanced breakfast. My go to is oatmeal, eggs (or turkey sausage), and fruit. This helps with muscle recovery especially since I dont take any supplements. We do have a great Recover formula from our Performance line that does help with muscle recovery if thats something you are looking for. . . Remember carbs ARE NOT your enemy when used properly to full your body and eat a balanced nutritional diet. . .
