How do I even begin to thank this amazing babe! @kazvanloenen before starting my 12 weeks with kaz I was eating really well Monday to Friday and thought I was being a little chilled on weekends with food, but not too bad. In reality I was eating way too much bad foods on weekends counteracting all my hard work. Kaz has taught me the right foods to eat, PORTION CONTROL, how to count macros / make eating out fit into my day and not go over my calories and macros. I feel like I’m coming out of this 12 weeks together a new person with such a better outlook on food / fueling your body. I eat more now, eat the right foods and still fit in eating out. 3.0 mile run ✅. I signed up for a 10k for next Saturday so I can test out pace and endurance. It’ll tell me if I should sign up for that half marathon in December. It aint much, but were getting back to it. Slowly starting to lift a little heavier. Had to take 3 days off to get some ribs popped back into place from the chiro. But, making progress. I just have to accept it isnt instant. Its hard to wrap your head around that.

👉So, the bro-split is not necessarily a bad thing. I used to do it myself. It just isn’t the most effective way to gain muscle, especially if you are a natural. People on steroids and enhancers can get away with the bro-split and still get crazy results. ⠀ .
👉The most effective way to train for muscle growth is to hit each muscle group at least twice per week. ⠀ .
👉The example above is for a 6-day split. You do not have to workout 6 days per week. This is just an example for someone who likes to train a lot. Me! 🙋‍♂️ ⠀ .
👉Your muscles usually are repaired and recovered after about 36 hours. That means they are ready to be hit again. ⠀ .
👉Think about it this way. If you did one workout for each muscle group once per week, that muscle gets hit about 52 times per year. Now, let’s say you workout each muscle twice per week or even more, that’s 104 times or even more per year each muscle is being stimulated. Which way do you think results in more growth? 😎 ⠀ .
👉As far as abs/Core training, studies have shown that about 3-4 times per week is optimal. Don’t neglect abs/Core training (I’m guilty of this in the past). Pick an exercise or 2 and hit them multiple times per week. Make sure to get all the muscle groups in the abdominals and not just the rectus abdominus (your 6-pack). ⠀ .
