Ptula has really become a brand that Ive embraced and come to really enjoy wearing over the last few months. The brand stands for Passion to Unite and Live Active. How awesome is that? This has easily become my favorite piece from them because the shirt actually fits my upper body correctly. Lately, I had started feeling kind of defeated because my upper body was getting more muscular (back and shoulders) and everything I had been trying on would not work and sizing up was not the answer. This top made me feel more confident to get through my shoulder day today with comfort and not feeling like Im going to rip some stitching because the shoulder/arm area is too restrictive. ABS & GLUTES - Mastering the combination of having both visible abs and nice round glutes is a heck of a job. It takes time, patience, hard work, consistency and the right foods. Ladies this is absolutely possible just dont expect the results overnight this has taken me 2 years at least. I work abs 2-3 times a week and glutes / legs 3x a week. Also what works for me in the gym may not work for you AT ALL so play with your exercises and find what fits you and your goals best. I will start posting more videos of my lifts and what I eat and my supplements to help yall out!

How did you get started with your fitness journey? Why did you? What’s your motivation? . . For me, I was active through high school and then college hit & I had my fun, gained weight BUT I made memories I wouldn’t take back for anything. But I was becoming uncomfortable in my body and decided to make a change. So I took action, researched on my own and just STARTED small . . I followed social media influencers because I found inspiration through them. They were fit and my “dream” body. But the more I’ve been on this journey, the more I have to tell myself I AM NOT THEM. And that’s ok. It’s 1000% ok to want to change your body and work on the “aesthetics”. But remember that your journey is yours . . And you know what? Over half the people I looked up to competed and let me tell you, the way someone looks on stage IS NOT healthy long term. It’s for a specific goal and short term. It’s not meant for long term so DO NOT compare your body to someone else’s stage lean body . . If you want to lose weight and keep it off, this has to be lifestyle. Short term fixes may work, but that’s why it’s called “short term” & it’s COMPLETELY possible to do it all in a healthy, sustainable way . . Start because of YOUR own motivation. We did Macho Man on Saturday and I stayed light so I could do more rounds, RX is like 135...not gonna happen for me yet. Its an EMOM of 3 power cleans 3 front squats 3 shoulder to overhead I did 85# which is light but the s2oh always gets me. I ended up doing 16 rounds and I wanted to cry! 85# has never felt so heavy by the end! I had a weekend to meeself, free of kids and my grizzly-sized teddy bear of a husband. What did I DO?! Working on building curves and muscle. Bulking is going okay mentally. Physically it is going as it should! The thing is before I started bulking I loved my body. I honestly was in love with my body for the first time. However I get bored easily and I love to challenge myself, so I decided to bulk again to challenge my body. Our bodies are incredible and they can be pushed and changed so easily if one is determined to do so. ❤️ So now I’m here contemplating if I made the right decision, which I know I did because progress takes time and this bulk is challenging me in a good way. It’s challenging me both mentally and physically. Mentally I have always struggled with gaining weight. I’ve always struggled with the numbers that I let define my worth and progress. This is something I may always struggle with. That is why I will keep pushing through this bulk. I will keep pushing through the insecurities and the worries. Yesterday’s leg day!! Disclaimer: I always start my workouts with the big compound movements(squats, deadlifts, bench) in order to not tire myself out for them. I did low reps and singles of heavy squats before moving on to these accessory/burnout exercises, but I didn’t show them here because the weight you use for your own workouts will vary+it would be about 5 more videos. Without further ado!!!!⬇️ . . 1️⃣Banded goblet squat with side kicks (10 kicks per leg) superset with banded stiff leg deadlifts (15 reps) for 3-4 sets 2️⃣Barbell reverse lunges - 4 sets total of 12,10,8,8 reps with weights increasing on each set (p.s. i took off my shoes to feel the activation more but ended up sliding so DONT DO WHAT I DID SOCKS ARE SLIPPERY 😭) 3️⃣Heavy hip thrusts 3x6 with (with warmup set of 10) 4️⃣Frog pump/thrusts? 3x12-15 (slap those feet together and embrace the strange looks you get!!!) . .
