Bent-Over DB Tricep extension + Lateral Raises (Superset)⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Ended my push day workout the other day targeting both my triceps and shoulders.⁣⁣⁣ -⁣⁣⁣ 20lb dumbbells felt a lot heavier to me while hitting this exercise. Juggling finals on top of moving out made me feel like a chicken running around with my head cut off. 😩 And it can be frustrating how easy it is to let your workouts or meal prep slip when you feel like there just isn’t enough time in the day to do everything... . . But, I also know that when I don’t get my workout in, I end up feeling even worse! So I made sure to fit 30 minutes into my day for my own sanity and I already feel so much better! 😊 Next time you feel stressed, I encourage you to try moving your body! I couldnt be more excited to fly to Chicago today to celebrate an early Christmas with Nicks side of the family! First, they’ll ask you why you’re doing it. Then, they’ll ask you how you did it. . You know what I find funny? The moment you become successful or reach a certain goal people who put you down or didn’t care much about you to begin with, start to become more interested in you and what you’re doing in your life. So many people put down my fitness dreams a few years ago. They kept asking me why and even made comments like, “you’re really not going to eat that?” “Oh, I know you won’t eat that pizza.” “ I should go on the Liz diet” and the list goes on. It was crazy to find out that most people won’t support you. Majority of them will put you down or make fun of what makes them feel uncomfortable. . What people didn’t see was the countless hours spent in the gym, crying nightly just wishing that my goals would happen quicker. (I have a hard time being patient) hoping that someday, if I worked hard enough, these dreams I had would become a reality. I muted all the negativity that came my way. Then out of nowhere once that hard work started paying off, everyone was interested in what I was doing. I’ve noticed people who wouldn’t normally talk to me, try to become my best friends. Although, sometimes it’s hard for me to realize people are only interested when they want something from you. I have a close group of people who have been with me since day 1. Point of my rant is haha, stay true to who you are. Believe in what you’re doing. When I was 17 my bf asked me why I don’t want to do anything about my thighs and ass When I was 26 I was told that men only like me because of my butt. Nothing more. . . 6 months ago I was told that I wouldn’t make it to the @jademackinnon @nzfitnessmodelsearch because I don’t have discipline and the body for it . . 3 months ago, one of my friends started a rumour that I had to take drugs to get competition ready 🤦🏼‍♀️ . . 2 months ago, I was told I didn’t deserve to win and that I’m a shit role model for women. . —— THIS POST IS NOT FOR SYMPATHY!! . —— All of these moments in my life, I am grateful for. . I learnt two VERY important lessons here... 1️⃣ Some people can be just straight up nasty.
