I have been working on this recipe for a few weeks to get it absolutely perfect but its finally here. Paleo/tree nut free snickerdoodles!!! I may have overdone it with the cinnamon on top but that’s just how I like it 😍 I’m so excited for you guys to try them, personally they’re my favorite as an ice cream sandwich Ingredients: 1/2 cup tapioca flour 1/2 cup coconut flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 2 eggs 1/2 cup coconut oil 2 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/8 cup + 1 tablespoon coconut sugar 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup(depending how sweet you want them) Mix all of these ingredients together then lay out into cookies. Roll into a mixture of 1/8 cup + 1 tablespoon coconut sugar 1 tablespoon cinnamon

During my last 2 weeks of school, it was a lot harder to stay healthy between studying, long days at work and school. I relied on these @whole30 approved @territoryfoods and @zupanoma items for my meals during those 2 weeks because it took so much stress off of me knowing that I was able to eat healthy when I was gone for 12 hours a day and didn’t have the energy to cook. - On the other hand, I’ve really been trying to reduce the amount of plastic I use, and obviously this was a lot of plastic. - Instead of feeling guilty about it, I did what I could. I used my @keepcup instead of disposable coffee cups and my @swellbottle for water. I used my @packagefreeshop bamboo silverware and straws instead of plastic, and I recycled everything - even if that meant me having to carry it around for the day in order to recycle it at home. Pure love 💙 My days are all about routine: eat, sleep, clean, pump, change diapers, laundry, etc. For two years my hubby and I dreamt about becoming parents. Being a momma is the best and most exhausting job I’ve ever had. . I’ve laughed (usually after a big baby 💩), cried, and fallen asleep standing up (true story). But, I wouldn’t have it any other way 😍 I’m finally sitting down to write Benji’s birth story so one day this kiddo can read more about how excited momma and daddy were to welcome him into this world. . I’ll never forget asking my doctor, “how will I know I’m in labor?” Her response...”oh, you’ll know😳” Annnddd she was right. 11 hours of labor and four hours of pushing before meeting our sweet baby boy 👶🏻 . My mom arrived just as i was getting ready to push. 🙌🏼 We like to think Benji knew to wait for her. . Do you have any special memories from your birth day?

Today was my hair appointment at @altitudesalon #lonetreecolorado and it brightened my day. This #healthjourney can be hard sometimes. So any bit of #selfcare I can give myself is much needed to boost my mood and outlook. And it helped that my salon experience was so great. My stylist Ally did a great job (I’ll post hair pics soon 💇‍♀️), the staff was so friendly, I enjoyed great conversation, and my visit ended with this #holiday gift from my stylist. To expand on my post from the other day..... . . People wonder why I don’t have separate business and personal accounts on social media . . Most marketing courses will tell you not to blend your personal life with your business . . In acupuncture school we were often warned to not share too much of our stories and personal lives with clients . . My first job as an acupuncturist, I was asked to cover up my tattoos - to hide a bit of myself for fear that I would make clients uncomfortable . . Working in a chiropractor office I was urged to focus on “science” and leave out the “fluffy energy medicine” stuff . . For so long I thought I had to hide parts of myself from my clients . . That I had to wear my cool, calm, collective, down to business, doctor mask . . And then I began to wonder, how can I expect them to bare their souls to me, if I don’t open my heart as well? . . How can I really help them heal, while so much of my healing gifts are wrapped in my own trauma? . . And so I began to let the walls down, I started to share my stories of loss, of trauma, and all that I had learned from overcoming deep sorrow with my clients . . And you wanna know what happened? . . My practice got busier . . Wanna know what else happened? . . We BOTH started healing more deeply . . I would hold space for my clients and they would do the same for me . . Because healing isn’t something that can be done alone . . It takes us being vulnerable with each other . . Truly opening our hearts to both give and receive healing . . That is where the true healing takes place . . One of the most painful things is feeling alone in your suffering, feeling like no one could possibly understand your pain . . I found that by sharing my pain with my clients, by being vulnerable with my own suffering, seemed to ease a bit of theirs even before the needles went in . . The truth of the matter is, I am not sure if the healing my clients experience comes from my needles or from my heart.......perhaps it’s a little bit of both ❤️

On the 11th day of Christmas my little tip to less stress festivities for a happier healthier holidays and winter wellbeing is another super simple one. . . . Write a list! Presents, food, events, jobs that need done before the festive fun. A planner on the fridge with the week ahead listed and different items allocated to each day and tick it off on the way and pop all the concerts, nativity plays, Christmas parties on their too in full view. Stressing over shopping, what youve got or still to get, a note in your phone with a list of names and their gift, popping an x beside each as you tick them off the list is a super efficient way to keep track leading up to the big day. Feeding the troops? Go through your menu and list all the ingredients you need on your grocery list. Get ahead and limit the load in the big shop before the 25th by shopping this week for any non fresh items. I get this question a lot... how do you work so much and still have time to exercise.... This is my daily routine when I’m at work... I take the stairs to the 7th floor (135 steps) and then do 50 squats with 10 squat pulses at the top THREE TIMES, totaling at least 405 steps and 180 squats. Each set takes me less than 5 minutes and I usually do them throughout the day. BECAUSE LETS BE HONEST... I do work a LOT and I have a toddler at home I want to spend time with and I’m exhausted at night... Laying in bed with the sick bowl next to you... another day in paradise. • • I feel too sick to take my medications, even my antisickness tablet, Proclorperazine. I dont know why I feel sick, but its possible its from throwing up over my birthday in February. I did some damage inside and have been left with a pain that only morphine helps. They cant explain it, Ive had blood tests, scans, a tube down my throat and still nothing. Some people just have abdominal pain is what my doctor said. I have spent all day, apart from 3 hours, in bed and have eaten the bare minimum because I just cant force any more food in. Im sad and fed up. • • Im sorry if my posts are depressing. Some people are inspiring on here, some decide to show the best of life with a chronic illness, others show the struggles and not so happy stuff, I want to do a mixture of the two; I want people to see that you can enjoy life with an illness, but Ill also not shy away from sharing the dark and unpleasant parts, too. Tis the season to make ALLLL the Christmas treats! 😍 This week I made another batch of my Easy Three Ingredient Fruit Cake Recipe ready for another weekend of Christmas celebrations. What are some of your favourite Christmas treats? For us its Snowball Cookies (recipe also on the blog and one of our MUST MAKES!), Molasses Crinkle Cookies (on the blog), Shortbread Cookies (on the blog) and fruit cake! I also always make Christmas themed salads (this year Im doing pesto with cherry tomatoes and bocconcini!) and a strata/bread bake to use up leftover bread and ham after the big day!

everything in me did NOT want to work out today. i drove 12 hours home from school yesterday and had such a sweet quiet time this morning, i was just in the mood to lounge it out all day long. BUT i remembered how good i would feel afterwards. i remembered that i need to be putting in the effort if i want anyone to join me! i remembered how important it is to take care of my body (especially after 2 weeks of seriously neglecting it). so i did it! i took 30 minutes & got. it. done. and gosh was it worth it! i’m so excited to get back into the swing of things, working out every day. not because i have to or to punish my body, but because i want to! i’m putting it out here now so that you can all keep me accountable this Christmas season. & if you want to join me in taking care of yourself, shoot me a message! i’d love to do this alongside you ❤️

Hace ya un año probé a hacer este queso de untar tan sabroso y he querido repetirlo como idea de aperitivos para todas las cenas que tenemos estas navidades, si queréis llevar algo distinto de sabor y fácil de hacer! -Una taza de anacardos activados(dejar en remojo los anacardos durante una noche) -3CS de levadura nutricional -1/2 cucharadita de vinagre de manzana -3cucharadas de agua -1 cucharada de AOVE -El zumo de medio limón -1/2 cucharadita de sal -1 cucharadita de hierbas provenzales . . Pondremos todos los ingredientes en una batidora de vaso y batiremos muy bien hasta que quede una textura homogénea y cremosa. . .
