Et godmorgen herfra om Søvn, melantonin og symptombehandling! Rigtig mange som kommer til mig har søvnproblemer, det er jo nærmest blevet en folkesygdom ikke at kunne sove. Noget af det første vi oplever af forandringer når vi skifter til Det fede liv er bedre og dybere søvn og bare dét alene kan skabe en kædereaktion i kroppen. Mange af os har svært ved at sove pga hormonelle ubalancer og fordi kroppen er stresset. Når vi spiser for mange kulhydrater og ikke får de rigtige vitaminer og mineraler bliver kroppen stresset. Det kan godt være du ikke føler dig stresset men kombinationen af for mange kulhydrater og for lidt fedt stresser din krop helt enormt. Men så snart vi ændrer på kombinationen forandrer søvnen sig. Jeg har selv været en af dem der bare ikke har kunnet falde i søvn, og det giver alverdens følger. Vi kan heller ikke tabe os på en sund måde når vi ikke sover ordentligt. Jeg prøvede alverdens remedier, piller, dråber og melantonin, men det er ikke at anbefale. Melantonin er et hormon som kroppen producere naturligt, når visse betingelser er opfyldt, men tilsætter vi det kunstigt udefra vil kroppen selv stoppe med at producere hormonet og så kan det altså gå galt. When you know you ate too much, you may wake up bloated, feeling guilty, and seeing a bigger number on the scale. No worries! That is primarily water retention. But if you did in fact eat in a very large calorie surplus, maybe a binge, how much of it is actually stored as fat? . . Not all of it. Although calories in vs. calories out always applies, when you consume more calories, calories out also increases. When you eat food, your body burns calories just to process that food. Also, due to the higher calories (energy), your body will move more. This spontaneous activity falls under the category NEAT, or non-exercise activity thermogenesis. That means you literally fidget and move more when you have more calories. There are also changes in hormones like leptin that can decrease hunger and help increase energy expenditure. . . There are surely other changes, but these are just a few to highlight that only a fraction of extra calories you eat are stored as fat. Give it a few days and that water retention will subside. Whatever fat you may gain can be lost in literally a few days. For example, if 800 calories of your binge were actually stored as fat, then that would only take 1-2 days of a calorie deficit to get rid of. . .
