I love Social Media & get a lot from it & always have, I show my lifestyle on here to show that no matter what age you are you can put your mind to anything. Now this doesn’t mean you have to do what I do, I’m an ambitious over-achieving, perfectionist & guess what, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. I love the challenge of training 6 days a week, learning all the time, getting strong, hitting new numbers on lifts, I like having abs occasionally(🤷🏼‍♀️) & I love eating according to the way I train. I’ve never felt so fulfilled & happy with where I am right now but I will still go after more & always will, it’s the way I’m made(thanks Mam & Dad). My generation were never encouraged by society to go after what we wanted but my parents always pushed us to do better & I’m doing this with my kids. So what I’m saying is find what makes you happy, it’s not what I’m doing or @ohfitness_ie travelling the world or @pipsy_pie fab house. La salsa pesto es originaria de Italia, donde su ingrediente principal es la ALBAHACA. Una de las variantes más conocidas es el PESTO ROSSO (pesto rojo) que se compone de añadir tomates secos a la receta tradicional. . . Para el pesto que yo he hecho necesitaremos: INGREDIENTES: . . ✔️ 20 gramos de ALBAHACA 🌿 . . ✔️ 2 diente de AJO (si es pequeño mejor, sino va a tener un sabor potente a ajo) . . ✔️ 30 gramos de PIÑONES . . ✔️ 10-15 gramos de ACEITE DE OLIVA VIRGEN EXTRA (esta cantidad es al gusto de cada uno) . . ✔️ Un trocito de QUESO PARMESANO O QUESO CURADO (he optado por el último) . . ✔️ OPCIONAL: he añadido un poquito de AGUA para que la salsa estuviera más líquida. . . If I’m being totally honest with you, My nutrition this past weekend was WAYYYYYYY off!!! 🤦🏼‍♀️🍔🍰🤷🏼‍♀️ Way too many extras and bites!! So, here I am...it’s Monday and I’m back on track. Workouts are planned and today’s is DONE (because, “Never miss a Monday”...). Meals are planned and prepped so that I stay on track this week. Water intake for today is on point!!! 💧 🤔I think back to those days when I “dieted” and this would have set me way back! When you diet, there is a goal with an end point. The focus is more on temporary eating habits as opposed to long term sustainable changes. There’s also a mindset of “I can’t have that because I’m on a diet”. However, living a healthy lifestyle never ends....there isn’t a destination, it’s a journey. And nothing is off limits - everything is allowed within moderation. It allows for those unexpected moments and those moments of weakness. You just have to be ok with pushing your goals out a little farther....which is ok, because it’s a lifestyle. 🙌🏼 This mindset was so foreign to me when I started but today it’s like second nature. But it’s been this approach to weight loss and weight loss maintenance that has helped me lose 50lbs and keep it off❗️ There will never be perfection and I’m cool with that. I recognize that the tools I have available to me (proven exercise programs, solid nutrition plans and accountability/motivation/encouragement through the amazing ladies in my group) are what has helped me get to where I am today and will keep me pushing forward to be healthier and stronger than ever before!!! ❤️

Last fall I got hurt and had to stop lifting weights. I totally used that injury as an excuse to completely stop everything altogether . . . Getting back into a routine of lifting is hard, but I’m getting there. Before I got hurt I was dead lifting 195 lbs and now I’m struggling with 55!! The muscles don’t stay strong if they aren’t being used, y’all . . . Instead of being down I feel inspired to get back to what I was lifting and to see how much more weight I can add . . . That being said, my muscles are occasionally sore, so I have been using this oil to help with sore tight muscles. Holy Fall! I know everyone is super excited and you’re all probably tired of seeing fall and pumpkin stuff on your feeds and I’m sorry. Yesterday I made pumpkin oats and forgot to post them 🤷🏻‍♀️. They were decent! I think they may have needed a little more seasonings so I’m going to work on that! But I made oats with water in the microwave, added some peanut butter made from pb 2, canned pumpkin 🎃, cinnamon, topped with honey 🍯 and some almonds for crunch! I’ll probably try adding some other seasonings next time! Not all my food is super super nice looking and I kinda get bummed when it’s just one color like this, but at least it was a pretty color! And I try to be honest about how it tastes because I don’t wanna ever mislead anyone! It’s not always perfect and that’s fine! ——————————————————————————— I’m starting to get to a point where it’s rough for me to lose weight, and I’m still not doing cardio because of my groin, so I’m trying to be patient with myself. I’m also trying to remain positive and remind myself that I’m at a plateau, and I’m not gaining weight. I was reminded the yesterday to be gentle with yourself because you’re doing the best you can and you just need to not be so hard on yourself sometimes. You’re not God and you’re not a super hero so you can’t do everything! Sometimes things like weight loss have to take a back seat and you need to ride out plateaus. Those things look sick anyway. They look like God was using a 3D printer to make a mountain and decided “eh I kinda like it unfinished”. So enjoy the beauty in plateaus haha! I hope everyone has a great start to their week!
