#healthtip #tuesday I always get asked about ingredients and what to look for. I believe in real food, but there are some things that are packaged and still considered real food. If you are pulling your hair out trying to figure out if you should buy it or not, I have a simple response. 1. If the ingredient list is over 6, put it down and move on. Most products that are #healthy should not have a HUGE list of ingredients. 2. If you can’t pronounce the ingredient, say buh bye👋🏻 ingredients you can’t pronounce means your body won’t know what to do with it either. It’s most likely a chemical. Move on. 3. The word “natural” means nothing. Any company can use that term because the FDA doesn’t regulate it. Plenty of brands put all natural on their product, but the ingredient list is made up of all chemicals. Big NO NO🙅🏻‍♀️ 4. “Low fat” “low cal” “fat free” run the other direction. This is a chemical storm of garbage you don’t need to put into your body! Keep it simple. No need to make things complicated. “You know you’re a runner if you can run a mile in 10 minutes or less” • Who has two thumbs and kept a 6.0+ mph pace for 8 minutes and 44 seconds of her 9:44 benchmark mile? This girl. 👍🏼👍🏼 WHO RAN A MILE UNDER 10 MINUTES???? THIS GIRL!!!! Oh, shit. That means I’m a runner again... 😒 • I started at 5.8 mph the first minute and psyched myself out thinking I couldn’t hold 6.0 mph for 10 minutes. But stupid me, I could have. And I did for the rest of the time. That’s ok though. It gives me something to work for come this fall/winter for the next benchmark mile. I never completed the first benchmark mile in May. I did do the first 8 minute distance run and that was the time I started transitioning from walker to jogger. My only goal then was to keep moving at 4.0 mph the entire 8 minutes and NOT walk. Now I’m pushing for 6.0 mph. #25weekspregnant with #twins, stomach bug the last 3 days, not holding anything down but crackers + walking like I’m 90 years old with bad back pain ... Pain is something I’ve experience the last couple days. Back pain. Muscle pain. Belly pain. Painful vomiting. Pain just walking up the stairs. I remembered what an incredible book I’ve been reading said today as a friend reminded me. Whether it’s pain physically, mentally, emotionally or whatever ... Schedule a time to think about it daily for 5 mins. It’s amazing that we push things out we will forget about it but really we need to address. Addressing this pain will go away. I will get through this. I am not weak because this is hard. But knowing not to dwell on it. So I made a list tonight before I go to bed by 8 PM all the incredible things I’m grateful for and there’s something so powerful about address the pain but not dwelling in it! That post workout pump is FOR REAL YALL 😮😮😮 Today was circuit training focused on the back and biceps. I lost count after the first 80 reps LOL I am really noticing a difference in my arms and I can actually flex and see a little pop 💪 I was kinda glad there was no HIIT today but I still worked up a sweat!! I used to dislike seeing muscle on myself...I wanted to be skinny for the looooongest time. I would eat minimal calories and do nothing but cardio. Then I would drink on the weekends and continue this cycle until I felt so sick and tired. Now I know that I wanna look STRONG. I want to be able to push myself daily. I also wanna look like I could kick someones 🍑. Just because Im little doesnt mean Im not fierce 😉 I am a strong, capable woman whos here to show you that being strong isnt manly....its EMPOWERING!! And this program Im doing has taught me that!!
