Often when I’m in a bind and don’t have much in my fridge, I result to making some sort of breakfast hash. These are so simple and can be packed with nutrition! Load them with veggies and protein and choose a carb to have as the “base”. Then don’t forget to top with a fat serving or two! No messing here, just going off of hand portions. This meal in particular was 2 cupped hands of carbs, 2 palms of protein, 1 1/2 fists of veggies, and 2 thumbs of fat. And yes I ate it all! Breakfast Hash: Diced potatoes Turkey bacon Egg whites Onion Orange, red, yellow peppers 1 over easy egg Feta cheese Fresh salsa Cook diced potatoes until soft. Add veggies and cut up turkey bacon. Cook for another 5 min. Add egg whites. Once egg whites are almost cooked all the way, crack an egg on top and let it cook until whites are done but yolk is runny. Top with feta cheese and salsa! Seriously the best and so easy to change around! Try sweet potatoes instead of regular potatoes. Or omit it he carbs and have a veggie loaded protein scramble. Heck, or throw that in a whole wheat tortilla! The possibilities are endless with this one! Friday Brunch - 2 SP mini spinach quiche. Made this in my new compact air fryer. I used unsweetened almond milk instead of heavy cream or milk. The Swiss cheese balanced that out. I just kind of winged this, lol. I don’t pretend to be a chef or Baker. 2 eggs 1/4 unsweetened almond milk 1 Tbsp of chopped onion-0 Spinach -0 Salt and pepper. Air fried for 23 mins at 350. I don’t miss the heavy cream at all. Yay for my late late brunch. ❄️

Crock Pot Chili Ingredients: 25 oz cooked 93% lean ground beef (5 Leans) 2 cans (14.5 oz each) Great Value Italian diced tomatoes (7 Greens) 1/2 cup Great Value natural tomato sauce (2 Greens) 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup green peppers, diced (1 Green) 1/2 tsp garlic powder (1 Condiment) 1 1/2 tbsp. chili powder (8 Condiments) 1 tsp cumin (2 Condiments) 1/2 tsp black pepper (1 Condiment) 3/4 tsp salt (3 Condiments) 1 packet splenda or stevia - optional (1 Condiment) I do not add this fyi Directions: Combine all ingredients in a crock pot. “Everything sucks” ⁣ Once a month I expect to hear this, or something similar, from my clients. Why? ⁣ PERIODS! If you’re a menstruating female you are familiar with the hormonal fluctuations that accompany your cycle – which impacts everything from sex drive, energy level, mood, hunger, and of course, self-esteem.⁣ ⁣ Nutrition can be extremely helpful during this time of the month as decreasing caffeine, carbonation, dairy, alcohol and fatty foods and increasing fiber, complex carbohydrates, magnesium and iron can improve PMS symptoms. If you’re interested in learning more about this – shoot me a DM and we can chat.⁣ ⁣ MORE than that, there are a few simple period-week rules I encourage all of my clients to adopt. I’m sharing a few with you just in case you have a period too:⁣ ⁣ 1️⃣ Don’t weigh in during period week. Estrogen, water retention, cravings and increased caffeine (decreased energy) can all attribute to weight gain – several of which you have no control over. If a slight increase in weight will leave you feeling less-than, skip the scale.⁣ 2️⃣ Continue being consistent with your this-works-for-me behaviors. Despite the fact that weight and bloating are up, fat won’t be if you set your sights on continuing your consistent healthy-for-you behaviors. This too shall pass”.⁣ 3️⃣ Period week is never the best time to make judgements about what’s working and what’s not when it comes to your sustainable fat loss strategy. Collect data about what feels good and what doesn’t, but make sure you still feel that way once your luteal phase hormones level out.⁣ 4️⃣ Ask, ‘how can I serve my needs best?’ repeatedly. Listening to your body is key, and while you might not FEEL like working out, cooking a nourishing meal or prioritizing an early bedtime, those activities might be exactly what you need to feel your best.⁣ ⁣ It might feel like “everything sucks” but trust that hormonal changes are temporary. Listen to your body and make the best choice you can, given your circumstances. And if stepping on the scale is going to make you feel like shit, don’t do it ➡️ which, come to think of it, is a great rule of thumb even if it ISN’T period week. Amen!? 👇🏻👇🏽👇🏿

Nothing changed but my mindset. Recently, a upgraded version of a workout was released in my online fitness library. At first, I was super pumped to try it out! The trainer is super inspirational. One of the cast members was a plus size woman making it seem accessible to anyone. Then I read where it needed a 6’ x 6’ space. You’ve seen my space...that’s all I have. It was all I need to make an excuse to not even try. In just a few short weeks, I gain full VIP access to a program that uses a step and requires the same amount of space. When I redecorated, I actually took away space by adding a small desk. But I’m still deciding to give it a try? Yes! I’ve decided that it’s important enough. I want this bad enough that I’m willing to do whatever it takes. It might take time to find the best placement for the step or I might even need to press pause as I adjust. It’s only a 20-minute workout. I think I can take a few seconds to make it work. Do you make adjustments to make things work for you or do you allow them to become your excuses?

Their health radically changed too!! 😁 When I see that 📸 picture on the left from December 2017 I see three Ds: defeat, depression, disease. Between the two of us we were surviving: high blood pressure, sleep apnea, high cholesterol and high triglycerides, border line diabetic, obesity, depression, high anxiety and three autoimmune diseases, but not truly living. We were VERY sick. 🤢 Thankfully that picture from yesterday, December 8, 2018 shows us not just living, but now THRIVING. We now have perfect blood work, normal blood pressure, perfect blood sugars, depression and anxiety are no longer in control.
