Os comparto mi propuesta alternativa a los turrones de chocolate convencionales y, sinceramente, cuando lo probéis no querréis volver a comprar los industriales! 🙈 🌰🍫 Turrón de castaña y chocolate. INGREDIENTES: 👇🏼 • 50 gr. cebada hinchada • 200 gr. chocolate de repostería (los hay de 60%) *Llevan azúcar así que no tenemos que endulzar más. • 100 gr castañas cocidas (peso ya cocidas) • 1 cda mantequilla almendras @mybodygenius ✨ Cobertura: • cacao puro en polvo @mybodygenius • aceite de coco @mybodygenius PROCEDIMIENTO: 👇🏼 -Derretimos el chocolate al baño maría o en el micro. Yo lo he hecho en el micro, metiéndolo en un bol en trozos y sacándolo cada 30 segundos más o menos para que no se queme, remover e incorporar más trozos hasta tener toda la tableta completamente derretida. -Coloca las castañas cocidas y la mantequilla de almendras en una procesadora potente y procesa hasta conseguir una pasta. - en un bol grande coloca la cebada hinchada, la pasta de castañas y el chocolate derretido, mezcla todo con ayuda de una espátula. - Coloca la masa en un molde de silicona, yo he usado uno de bizcochos alargado para conseguir la forma de turrón. - lo aplastamos y compactamos bien ylo metemos en el frigorífico media hora. - preparamos la cobertura: derretimos dos cucharadas de coco y agregamos 2 o3 de cacao y removemos, rápidamente lo vertemos sobre el turrón (ya desmoldado y colocado sobre papel de cocina), extendemos y volvemos a enfriar. . . ‼️ * Lo podemos conservar en un tupper hermético de cristal hasta diez días en la nevera. Goodmorning! 🥳 I woke up at 6.30 and got on the scale. My weight went up 🥺. I am very frustrated about that but I tried to keep calm and said to myself it wil be fine . My friend snapped this photo of me at lunch the other day. One, she is the best at taking candid pics and two, I love spending time with her. We ate at a place called The Perch where they have rescued exotic birds and the seating is outside in a bunch of trees so you feel like you’re in a treehouse almost. It’s just the best. Every time I run or workout I feel grateful. Grateful that my body allows me the things I want to do. I used to think of exercise as punishment, I now know that it’s a reward. Fun fact: I love to longboard! Had a lovely reminder today of this and reconnect with an acquaintance. This is a throwback from some night boarding and hill bombing a few years ago. It’s always good to have that one thing you can do and get lost in it. Such a great release. I even had the opportunity to teach a few friends how to longboard too. We’d hit the streets downtown at one a.m. *sigh* it was great. What’s your thing?

Holiday Self-care tip #2...Stay hydrated, inside and out. Water is so important for every metabolic function in your body. If we get dehydrated, nothing works in our body at an optimal level. When we are stressed with the extra stuff going on this month, making sure we drink enough water every day is a simple thing to help support the needs of our body. MENTAL TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY 🙇🏻‍♀️ . The last few weeks I started doubting if my mental progress had disappeared because I was struggling to see physical progress & focusing all my attention on that. I knew visual changes weren’t the only form of progress but I was still preoccupied. Well, this week I was put to the test. I’m supposed to be on Week 12 this week. WEEK 12!!! I haven’t missed a workout, skipped a week, or fallen off the BBG wagon in 16 weeks. I was SO CLOSE to meeting my only goal: completing the 12 week challenge on time & without cutting corners. . Then life happened [read: hangover] & then I got sick. So now it’s Tuesday & I still have abs from Week 11 & alllll of Week 12 to do by Sunday. Impossible right? Probably. In the past, that realization would have destroyed me, allowed me to throw in the towel, eat shit all week, start over next Monday & still feel like a failure anyway. Today? I don’t really care. My hangover made me fall behind on my workouts but gave me a really fun night with my best friends & this cold has cost me 2 precious days to finish Week 12 on time. OH WELL 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m not even that bummed, which is a surprise to me but I think demonstrates my mental progress. There is no deadline to a healthy lifestyle. A couple days off doesn’t change a damn thing. I’m human, life happens, we pick up where we left off & move on. I haven’t beat myself up, I’ve listened to my body & I feel good about the decisions I’m making with the options I have in front of me. . TL;DR: Progress shows itself when you least expect it. Up until now I have avoided burpees at all cost with some bullsh*t excuses. On Week 2 of the @sweat app this week and I decided no more! I did my burpees completely today 💪🏼 I started off with push-ups added but as you can see at the end that was over quickly 🤪 Maybe another time! Can’t wait until this is the beginning video down the line when I can do them as casually as Kayla! 🌟

Christmas Circuit Workout 2-3 rounds! This is going to burn but in honor of the 25 days of Fitmas I had to have everything be 25 reps... or more. 25 sumo squat jumps 25 push up jacks 26 touch and reach (13 each side) 50 flutter kicks 25 (each side) crunch toe taps 25 in and outs I was planning on doing more videos this past week but I got the worst food poisoning and it just threw me off, so I’m getting back into the swing of things just in time to pack up to go to Nashville tomorrow. I am uncomfortable in my body. Im lethargic, lazy, and always tired. This is the longest Ive gone without working out. And that ended today. I dont need to lose a certain amount of weight. how to procrastinate studying for finals while also feeling productive: make a super elaborate and healthy lunch plate. i should 100% be studying right now but when i got back from my first final today that was the last thing i wanted to do. in came my two biggest vices to save the day & help keep me “busy” —> online shopping + cooking. both were a success so let’s hope studying later is too!! here are the deets so you can avoid your responsibilities with me👇🏻 + mini sweet potato “toasts” — some topped with avocado & the others topped with @wholefoods creamy almond butter & @rigoniasiagousa strawberry jam + sautéed spinach & a @vitalfarms fried egg with @traderjoes everything but the bagel seasoning + fruit — pear slices, kiwi slices, pomegranate seeds, & oranges!! peep how my egg yolk is the same color as my orange. yay for lutein & zeaxanthin, which were coincidentally both covered on my final this morning. sprinkled chia & flax on it all (duh), took some pics, & then devoured it. happy tuesday🔥💚

There is a little less than 14 weeks until my half marathon, so with the almost 2 weeks of winter break it balances out. Starting the plan on Wednesday and the idea is to run MWF.
