Managed to get through this mornings #lowerbody. Despite feeling less than up for it, I decided since I was up, I would try and just do what I could. In the end I managed 4 circuits, but did skip the alternating step ups of circuit 3 because the rest of the family were still snoozing and we have very creaky floorboards 🤣 I simply did 4 rounds instead of 3 of the other two moves in that circuit 🙌🏼 In circuit 4, I subbed the shoulders elevated band single leg thrust (nice and concise name!) for banded clam shells as I have been told by physio to do that move for abductor and core work 😬 Right-hi, coffee, shower and werk!

Getting to it. Working on building that strong foundation again with the compound movements. That’s the most important part of my training right now. Seriously, do you mind? Today wasnt a bad day but my mind is telling me it wasnt really a great day either. Restrictions. If you know me, I dont like being restricted or limited. It is a mental struggle for me, especially when I have my mind made up and I am pushing forward, forward momentum like a mothalicka!! . . Work out #13 - lower body focus - it was AMAZING! Glute activation warmup followed by staggered dead lifts, banded squats (upper, lower, and full), a super/giant set of cleans, front squats, and wide deads, all finished off with a HIIT that almost made me puke, 30 Russian KB swings, 20 jumping lunges (I did reverse to give caution to that stupid calf 😂😭) and 10 explosive deadlifts. Not sure how explosive they were but I tried. I eeked out an extra set of everything because, well, I ate a candy bar 🤷🤷🤷 I was pissed off. Whatever. Self sabotage at its finest. . . It was 1 semi bad day - get out of your own head and handle your shit. I wasnt even gonna workout tonight. I pulled myself together and got it done. I am so happy that I did. No excuses. Training has been non existent for me this week due to my minor shoulder injury on Monday afternoon 👎🏽 But thankfully it was very short lived & I was able to get back into moving my body again 💃🏼 . First I warm up for 5-10 min on the elliptical or treadmill. Before Lifting, I incorporate some exercises with resistance bands to activate my muscles, in this case, my glutes. • Stress 🙃 • - - Let’s be honest no one on this earth has gone through life without feeling stressed at some point 😪 It’s a huge struggle, for some more than others and I am definitely one of them! #stresshead - - Stress can make us feel flummoxed and chaotic, be it from the amount of work we have to do or confrontation with others, but stress can have some detrimental effects on us 😪 Stress can cause stomach issues, headaches, fatigue among many more and thus is more than just a temporary “feeling”! - - If you’re prone to feeling stressed it’s important that you take some measures to ensure your stressed moments last for a shorter amount of time or prevented all together!
