Static Stretching Vs. Dynamic Stretching Flexibility is a key component to any functional fitness routine. No matter what type of workout you do, It is important to stretch. Having limber limbs feels good and looks cool. But more importantly, Its really critical to your overall Health and Vitality. Static Stretching before exercise can weaken performance, such as sprint speed, in studies. The most likely reason is that holding the stretch tires out your muscles. You should warm up by doing dynamic stretches, which are like your workout but at a lower intensity. A dynamic stretch is a series of challenging motions that are executed repeatedly so that the stretch is felt further with each motion. These stretches entail a lot of motion and are not necessarily deep stretches, so they can be done safely prior to warming up the muscles or even as a warm-up exercise. Athletes often use dynamic stretches to prevent injury and to loosen up the joints and muscles prior to a strenuous workout. A static stretch is a deep, slow stretch, which entails a singular motion held in place for ten seconds or more. These are the types of stretches to do when you are aiming for extreme flexibility or are just beginning to learn to stretch. FOOOOOOOOOOD 🍳🍚🥦 Today’s post is about food. I’ve always struggled with eating healthy, putting on muscle, and staying consistent. That is until I found foods that I enjoy and am able to be consistent with. Not only that, but I also figured out what counting macros meant. Also, how in taking a high amount of protein (at least 1g per pound of body weight) is essential is putting on muscle. Ever since, I took these factors into account, I saw the results that I was after for quite a while. I also found myself in a more positive mood. However, I am not extremely strict on my self with what I eat. I understand my body now and how it’ll react to different foods. For the most part, I eat healthy but I also have learned to treat myself. Balance is important in life. A few interesting facts about eating healthy include; having energy throughout the day, preventing diet related illnesses(diabetes), nutrients being provided for growth and repair, and stronger bones and teeth (reducing the risk of osteoporosis, where bones typically become weak with age). Remember, stay pumped everyone and have a great day💯💪🏻
