My meal prep routine has changed so much over the years. Before I’d meticulously prep every meal of my week, now plan family dinners, have 3 veggie egg bake varieties I rotate through every week, I grill chicken breast or buy a rotisserie chicken for making salads and for tossing into soup, and a veggie tray. It helps to simplify and make the week easier without being consumed by a days worth of prep.

to #thegirlwho surprised herself 😳🤷🏼‍♀️ • Y’all, this was my first fully, true, no work involved whatsoever, day off since I went to Miami 😂 so i definitely planned on today being as lazy as possible— didn’t even have a thing scheduled until 12:45 pm when the gym opened— but at 10 am, I was ready to get. Shit. Done. So before I even went to the gym, an entire load of laundry was done, second load in the wash, I had gotten coffee and breakfast in my system and still had time to sneak in a few YouTube videos. Crazy that my lazy days don’t need to be so lazy anymore— my exhaustion from stress hasn’t changed, but the way I handle it doesn’t ALWAYS involve 14 hours of sleep. And that’s kind of nice, ya know? • W2 day2 of @desb___ was my workout today and MAN did my biceps and shoulders feeeeeeeeel it 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I’m definitely noticing my left shoulder/ bicep struggling to keep up with my right, has anyone else dealt with that before? Lift two different weights? I want to push both arms, but what feels comfortable to my left doesn’t exactly push my right. Help ya girl out, fit fam!

Snowy days down south❄️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I haven’t worked out all weekend because yesterday we laid down part of our new flooring (that was honestly a workout in itself) and today was a snow day followed by putting down more flooring 😂 I don’t think the gym will be open tomorrow because of the snow so I probably won’t workout tomorrow but I do have cyclebar scheduled for Wednesday so I will for sure get a workout in at some point this week 🙃

All that punching, kicking, and jumping requires a surprising amount of strength. Think about it – most professional heavy bags weigh at least 100 pounds. During a boxing workout, you may punch or kick a bag hundreds of times, requiring your upper body, lower body, and core to engage as you make contact with the bag. ⁣ To my crew out there 🔥⁣ ⁣ HOW TO PLAN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS OF TRAINING⁣ ⁣ It’s the end of the year, the challenges are over, you’re coming to the end of your personal program, competitions for the year have finished up, where to from here?...⁣ ⁣ During this time of year It’s important to relax and recharge but it’s just as important to keep focused and consistent with your training, nutrition, and health.⁣ ⁣ NUTRITION ⁣ Over the next three weeks don’t get too hung up on your diet, eat as healthy as you can. Salads, fish, homemade potato or kumara chips, make your own pizzas, have BBQs, load up your plates with colorful veg, drink lots of water, and consider supplements like GOOD GREEN STUFF to keep your nutrients up.⁣ ⁣ It is the festive season, but alcohol is a depressant and it will squash any motivation or energy you have so just be smart about it and like all good things, enjoy in moderation! ⁣ ⁣ TRAINING⁣ Don’t stress if you have no long-term training goal and you don’t know what you’re doing or why you’re doing it. This is the time to recover and recharge, but keep some consistency in your training to stay sane. ⁣ ⁣ Come along to the classes and have fun! Go up the mount, swim, run along the beach, do something to get the body moving each day! ⁣ ⁣ Don’t make excuses not to come to class. Trained my little baby arms today 💪🏽 I love seeing the weights move up I used to struggle doing a 10kg bench press now I’m up to 20-25kg for 12reps 🎉

Pictured above is not everything however it is a little snippet!
