Epic Micro-Review: The title of Epic promises something the movie just doesnt deliver. I might go so far as to use the word impressive, but that’s not a very catchy title for a movie, now is it? Epic comes to us by way of the studio that pumped out Ice Age and Rio, which aren’t exactly the best credentials as far as animated films if you ask me, but it’s not a bad foundation for their newest computer-generated film. It’s certainly not award material, but Epic is definitely a movie the whole family can enjoy.⠀ ⠀ Read more at Starsandpopcorn.com!⠀ ⠀ #Epic #nowwatching #🎬 #moviebuff #movie #film #cinema #🎥 #moviecommunity #movieweekend #moviegeeks #movienerds #moviemaniacs #moviereviewer #movietime🎥 #movies🎬 #moviefans #moviemania #cinephiles #movieblog #moviefanatic #moviecritic #moviegram #movieoftheday #movielovers #moviemagic #movietime🎬 #starsandpopcorn

Mandy (2018) Director: Panos Cosmatos Starring: Nicholas Cage, Andrea Riseborough —————————————————— This is the best Cage movie I’ve seen to date. The soundtrack and cinematography are amazing. As you can see, the color red is a huge proponent of this movie. This strategy really gave the movie a dystopian feeling. And above all else, Cage delivers everything you want. Both eery and hilarious make for a unique and fun experience. —————————————————— Rating: 8.5/10 #movie #movies #review #reviews #moviereview #moviereviews #film #films #filmy #filmreview #filmreviews #critic #critics #moviecritic #filmcritic #filmfestival #horror #horrormovie #blood #gore #hilarious #mandy #mandymovie #nicholascage #nickcage #cage #cagerage #andreariseborough #panoscosmatos #yourfilmbro

Saw #onthebasisofsex because #iseefilmssoyoudonthaveto The story of #ruthbaderginsburg ... a glorious icon for #america - and a living one at that. This is a competent film - not sparky - but solid. Strong actors. A simple story. All true. And so relevant for today. Echoes of #timesup and the Kavanagh hearing feel ever present. But then. An RBG biopic isn’t about sizzle and flair, it’s about solid work and dedication. This film reflects that... #felicityjones is lovely, #armiehammer plays the devoted dutiful husband and #justintheroux gets to bounce around. If you didn’t appreciate #RBG before you will now. 8.1/10

LES MISÉRABLES (2012) IMDb: 7.6 Metascore: 63 Personal Score: 8/10 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress (Anne Hathaway) This movie is a great piece of work. It is thoroughly enjoyable, and even though the singing gives no breaks to the audience, the whole thing is stunning. The visuals are granted to steal the viewers attention, the camera movements are quite unconventional, the wide angle promises a full immersion.  The characters personalities are for the most part inflated by the extravagant surroundings, except for one that truly fascinated me, and many others I reckon. The protagonist, Jean, played by the brilliant Hugh Jackman, is the only character that while holding the story together undergoes a deep inner evolution. As a result Jean is unpredictable, and more unpredictability is what this movie needed. Thanks to Jackmans performance, along with the others (especially Hathaways and Redmaynes), the movie truly feels vital and vibrant.  Les Misérables is not about a great plot or a profound message. This movie is pure cinematic entertainment. It offers the audience a trip back in time in the most spectacular manner, while remaining faithful to high-quality filmmaking and writing.  Directed by: Tom Hooper Written by: William Nicholson, Alain Boublil, Claude-Michel Schonberg, Herbert Kretzmer Cinematography by: Danny Cohen #lesmiserables #hughjackman #amandaseyfried #annehathaway #victorhugo #oscars #film #movie #movies #films #movielover #moviebuff #filmbuff #filmcritic #moviecritic #moviereview #moviereviews #reviews #cinema #cinemafan #cinematography #cinemalover #moviefan #filmfan #filmreview #filmreviews #movieaddict #filmaddict

Creed II Spoiler Free: Oh.My.God! This movie is beyond words! If anyone saw my post in the last few weeks regarding Stallone retiring as Rocky then you know how much I love these movies! Rocky is my absolute favourite movie & a few years ago when they announced the first Creed I got hyped as hell and loved it! Now skip a few years and discover as a die hard Rocky fan there is a new Creed movie where a Creed fights a Drago! This movie has everything a Rocky fan can want! 3 fights, compelling story, AMAZING action, Rocky Balboa and an incredible villain! The best parts of the movie? Oh where to begin, Michael is always superb, Stallone nails it, the story (while basic) hooks you in, the score, the sheer amount of fan service, the return of Ivan and in my opinion the best part of the movie Viktor Drago! This villain is so deep and emotional while being cold and says very little but every minute he’s on screen is pure gold! The bad? Well I’ve never liked Bianca and other than the one massive thing that happens to her and Creed she offers very little to the story, the story itself is predictable about half way through & though not bad as such but the final movie Rocky will appear in. It’s too much! Overall I adore this movie and as you may have guessed I’m giving it a 10/10! #creed2 #creed #creedii #rockybalboa #rockymovie #boxing #boxingmovie #film #movie #moviereview #moviecritic

Did I like this movie? Yes. Gloria Swanson is incredible, and through Norma Desmonds powerful and theatrical grandeur, is a spitting image of pride, vanity and madness. Some might complain about her dramatic exaggeration, but once youre done, you wouldnt have imagined Norma any other way. Do I think film history wise it could be important and iconic? Absolutely. It was one of the firsts of its kind to talk about movies, megastars and pry open the ostentatious facade to reveal the damned image of Hollywood. They brought in stars whose real lives mirrored with the characters in the movie. The background theme- iconic, sets- lavish. It wouldve been a game changer for those times and wouldve had a certain respect attached to it. I loved Billy Wilders The Apartment and his witty writing (although not that pronounced in SB) and I was really looking forward to how hed unflur a grander noir theme. I wont say Im disappointed, but just not as overwhelmed as I thought Id be. And when that happens to me, when Im not able to figure out why a movie failed to really draw me, I give it time and rewatch it. So I rewatched it, and rewatched it some more. And heres what I feel. Norma Desmond is too powerful a character. Her presence, her talk, the mere look of dread in her eyes, the bloody curl of her wiry fingers is a statement in itself and demands to be acknowledged every scene. Every other character is bleak in front of her; even the story doesnt seem potent enough to have someone as thunderous as Norma in it. Her romantic arc with Gillis is too weak a storyline to suffocate Normas dynamic into. With the height of madness Norma reaches in the end, one would expect her demented self, that will not bow in pride to another, to be an image of destruction. Gillis wouldve feared her, loathed her and seen her for the monster she was becoming. She wouldve finished him. But not like this; instead, she cries and rolls down the stairs before abruptly shooting him in the back. When I see Norma Desmond get back at Willis for leaving her, I see her do it powerfully, with vanity. Only that will justify the poetic ending for which I wouldve been giddy otherwise. 7/10

[Movie - 2016] Bridget Jones Baby . ★ Score given : 7.8 . 📝 Review : It has been 14 years after the second film from the Bridget Jones trilogy. I know, Im not in the era when Bridget Jones Diary was showing and attracts a lot of peoples attention. But seeing the old cast assemble again at Bridget Jones Baby, its like a long-awaited reunion. I have never watched its original films (maybe I will soon) but I can feel a sense of miss. Bridget (Renee Zellweger) and Mark (Colin Firth) are now getting old, but their chemistry is still the same as before. This was an awkward moment for them because they had not met for years. And when life has changed a lot, they are reunited with memories of the past. The story is standard as of common romance comedy, dont expect it to be high, the story is just fine, but hey, its quite enjoyable and entertaining. Jokes that were served could even make me laugh. And yes, Bridget and Marks relationship is what you want to work well. Mark still fascinates on his age, which is not young anymore and can make Bridget shaken. Actually I was a little uncomfortable with Bridgets character, the way she spoke with sassy, little chipmunk voice and act like a teenage girl made me disturbed. She was old eniugh and it didnt suit her at all. It makes you think of, uh, old women acting teenagers. But I do not know, whether in the previous film she was like that or not. However, in that age with that kind of talking style, it bothered me. I cant tell much, it seems like I need to watch the original. Anyway, It has a predictable story with the ending I wanted. It is a good romantic comedy film you should not to miss. #bridgetjones #bridgetjonesbaby #bridgetjonesdiary #reneezellweger #ColinFirth #patrickdempsey #hughgrant #moviecritic #moviereview #moviereviews #filmcritic #likers #like4likeback #like4follow #likeforlikes #liketime #likelike #likeforlikeback #like4likes #likesforlike #followforfollowback #lfl #instalike #followme #lfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfllfl

SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE gets a 4.5 out of 5 from me = AWESOME film 🎬 Sony hits a home run with this animated film following the origin of my fellow Brooklynite, Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man, who discovers hes not alone in the multiverse. Was completely riveted by this flick as it felt fresh by deviating from the traditional Marvel movie formula and introducing some really cool and interesting characters. So much fun, great fan service and never a dull moment. One of the best Spidey movies ever. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.. 🎬 ***TWO bonus end credit scenes. So I just finished watching Mowgli: Legend Of The Jungle and I have alot of mixed feelings about this one. Ill start with the good, Its a pretty nice looking movie it certainly doesnt look like a greenscreen nightmare which I was abit worried about, I like how dark and violent the movie was aswell, It was really refreshing to see this take on the source material I know alot of people will complain about this but I liked it. The main problems with the movie though are pretty noticeable, Its very choppy and unstructured in my opinion things happen and not progressed enough for my liking and it took my out of key moments in the movie, Also the 3rd act of the movie is so rushed especially the final confrontation I would of actually enjoyed an extra 10 minutes. But of course the biggest and most noticeable problem with the movie is why it was indeed made after we had Disneys Jungle Book remake just 2 years ago which was fantastic, This movie just really doesnt have a reason to excist. Its not a terrible movie, I wouldnt even say its bad, It just wasnt thought through in my opinion and I hope Andy Serkis gets another crack at a big budget movie because you can definitely tell hes trying and had a passion for the project, Im going to give Mowgli: Legend Of The Jungle a 5/10.

Captain Marvel is a game changer! I honestly think she makes her entrance in Endgame by saving Stark and Nebula! #captainmarvel

Movies 2018 - 363. Thelma (2018; written by Joachim Trier and Eskil Vogt; directed by Joachim Trier) . 🌮🌮🌮 1/2 (3 1/2 tacos) . A young woman begins to experience mysterious seizures when she finds herself falling for a classmate. For the majority of Thelma, I found myself completely enraptured by the storytelling abilities of Joachim Trier. Everything unfolds in such a spectacular fashion. It doesn’t necessarily deviate from the conventional storytelling formula, but it hits those beats in such a fascinating way. . Eili Harboe, who plays the titular Thelma, fully embodies awkward and frightened. There is such a mystery about what is happening with this character and her portrayal invites the audience to completely care for her and her wellbeing. As it filters in the science fiction elements, it does so in a very slow kind of way. Things are added in bit by bit so as not to completely throw anyone off guard. However, when Thelma begins to investigate exactly why she is experiencing these seizures, things kick into overdrive. Up until the ending of the film, it still handles everything really well and in fascinating fashion. Once it gets to the conclusion, however, if I was left feeling a little disappointed. The payoff doesn’t feel satisfying or conveyed with enough clarity. It doesn’t ruin the movie like so many unsatisfying endings can, but it leaves things on a disappointing note after everything before has gone so well. . Joachim Trier is a director to keep an eye on, though. Things look incredible and he has a great sense of pacing. He is a true storyteller, and I look forward to seeing the rest of his work. . #movies #movie #film #cinema #movies2018 #moviereview #moviebuff #filmtwitter #filmgeek #movienerd #cinefile #cinephile #cinefilecommunity #cinephilecommunity #podernfamily #filmreview #moviecritic #filmcritic #movielover #movieaddict #movieenthusiast #52foreignfilms #lsc2018

Mortal Engines (2018) ----------------------------------- Rating : PG-13 / Bimbingan orang tua dan di atas 13 tahun Genre : Action, Adventure, Fantasy ----------------------------------- Director: Christian Rivers Stars: Hera Hilmar, Hugo Weaving, Jihae ----------------------------------- Cerita : 55/100 | Character : 60/100 | Cinematography : 80/100 | Sound Effect / Scorring: 75/100 ----------------------------------- MiiuviMeter : 67/100 ----------------------------------- Review we cant denied for the animation and visuals of Christian Rivers, which is the storyboard artist and VFX from the Director Peter Jackson that created the Lord of the Ring and The Hobbit, which is very good. The idea of this film in my opinion is very good, but unfortunately the execution of the idea is still not good. There are too many characters in this film, but some characters are very lacking in recognition, so there are so many characters that dont see their purpose and direction in this film. The acting of the actors is still not optimal, because of that, there are some characters that really shouldnt be included in this film. i can said that This story is still fresh, a machine moving country consuming other countries or small cities, to be the energy source. There is no plot twist, and the story is easy to guess, especially if you read the novel. Not too hopeful for the continuation of this film, because in my opinion this is a flop movie for the film from novel adaptation. #moviereview #miiuvireview #movielover #movieinstagram #moviecritic #moviegram #movieoftheday #instamovies #instacinema #film #instafilm #cinema #filmreview #filmlover #instareview #cinephile #filmnerd #mortalengines #action #adventure #fantasy #herahilmar #hugoweaving #jihae #december #desember

Movies 2018 - 362. The Other Side of the Wind (2018; written by Orson Welles and Oja Kodar; directed by Orson Welles) . 🌮🌮 (2 tacos) . A director hosts a party to show off his most recent film. The Other Side of the Wind is more F is for Fake Orson Welles than it is Citizen Kane Orson Welles. For some people, that would mean it is a thrilling piece of cinema. For me, that means it is a tedious piece of cinematic ranting from the fading creative flame of a narcissist. As I sit writing this review, I have about fifteen minutes left of the film and find myself growing more and more frustrated with it. . The Other Side of the Wind feels like the most pretentious found footage film ever made. Instead of going hard on the horror, it is a dramatic snake devouring its own tail. The downward spiral of how an artist becomes a celebrity and then becomes an artist surrounded only by those who tell him everything he does is exceptional when its clear that is no longer the case. There is a moment in the film where a character approaches the projectionist and says that the wrong reel is being shown. Does it matter? the projectionist replies. Because this film is splattered so all over the place, it feels like it doesnt matter if it is shown in the correct order, either. And with Welles long dead, who knows if it actually is. Despite the creative teams best efforts to assemble this film the notes Welles made and the footage he shot, both over forty years ago, nothing really ever pieces itself together. . Im left wishing this film would have been left unfinished and that the mythos of what could have been is all we have. Instead, we have something that I can best describe with two opposing metaphors using the same coin. The Other Side of the Wind is filled with ideas with far too much rumbling around and nothing of worth coming out, much like constipation. Or, it is so full of ideas that it just lets everything explode in a messy splatter. You know what that means. . {{CONTINUED IN COMMENTS}}

281. Brother of The Year / Nong, Pee, Teerak (2018) Directed by : Whittaya Thongyooyong Release date : August 1, 2018 Starring : Sunny Suwanmethanon, Nichkhun, Urassaya Sperbund Jane dan Chut adalah kakak adik yang berbeda sifat dan kebiasaan 180 derajat. Security (2017) 4.6/10 ➖ Overall, this is a B grade film that really showed potential but ended becoming more painful to watch due to the surrounding characters. Some of the ways the hero took out the gang members is also asking the audience to accept too much. Actor Antonio Banderas proves once again that he is still fit for duty, but otherwise, I cant help it but think this film could have actually been a better film. 💢CHECK OUT THE FULL REVIEW ON FACEBOOK💢 . . . #moviereview #cinephile #bluray #cinephilecommunity #filmcritique #finessemoviereviews #movielover #moviecritic #filmcritic #moviebuff #filmbuff #filmlover #filmreviews #film #moviereviews #reviews #filmreview #nowshowing #movies #cinema #critic #movieposters #moviepremiere #movielovers #security #securitymovie #antoniobanderas #benkingsley @antoniobanderasoficial

First of all i would like to thank @dolbycinema and @reelcinemas for the invite to the premiere of @spiderman #intothespiderverse. Moving on, the movie was great in terms of the story line and the background songs were brilliant. The animation design was excellently done. It felt like i was reading a comic where the actions were being displayed life. It was great to see more unique costume design of the spiderman as well as other character from different dimension. And that is what i meant by saying the story line was well written. However, the movie is a bit confusing if you did not watch the spiderman series before as many things are relevant to it. But non the less, the movie is packed with humour, fun and action and that is what your friendly neighbourhood spiderman should be all about. So head out this weekend with your family to have a great time watching this one. Movies 2018 - 361. The American Meme (2018; directed by Bret Marcus) . 🌮🌮🌮 (3 tacos) . People who find their fame thanks to social media discuss how it has impacted their lives. This is another challenging review to write. So much of The American Meme relies on watching various social media influencers discuss how the became famous and how they maintain their fame. They have millions of people following their every move day in and day out. That constant need for attention and validation has shaped who they have become as people and, quite honestly, those people are kind of sad. They may be financially set for life, but they almost feel so dependent on how others respond to them on social media that any minor fall affects their entire well-being. Writing this review is a challenge because I have to kind of separate my feelings from the people being covered and focus on how the film illustrates its point. Because most of the people discussed in the film are ones that I either don’t care about or outright dislike, it makes it hard to separate that. This film gives these people another outlet to seek fame. We see the material they produce, the parties they attend, and the lives they lead. This film is further exposure for them, but also another form of validation. Luckily, the film doesn’t always showcase these people in their best light. We get to see the ups that they’ve experienced, but also the downs. From Paris Hilton’s sextape, the shut down of Vine, the plagiarism accusations toward Josh Ostrovsky, and the lonely, blacked-out drunken nights of Kirill, this fame these people were able to eke out may not have truly been worth it. The film doesn’t make you empathize with them, but it still makes their lives look kind of sad. The documentary is worth a watch because it shows just how times have changed. It would be nice to have more films that focus on the downfall of social media influencers, so that kids today continue to strive for more than internet fame. Life is more than selfies with popular products while 2 million people see your every move. . {{CONTINUED IN COMMENTS}}

#CreedII (2018): 7/10 ⠀ Creed II is the eighth film in the ‘Rocky’ franchise and sees relative newcomer Steven Caple Jr. take over the reigns from ‘Creed’ creator Ryan Coogler. We catch up with Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) some years later after being crowned Heavyweight Champion of the World. ⠀ Dolph Lundgren returns in his iconic Drago role to face up against Rocky one more time, though this time from the sidelines. He and son Viktor (Florian Munteanu) bait Donnie into a title bout by playing on the memory of his late father, something Donnie feels he has to rise up to and face. We do actually witness a short recap of events from ‘Rocky IV’ as Donnie rewatches events himself on his tablet, which helps to familiarise new audiences with the ‘Rocky’ story without alienating the old audiences; a shrewd move from the writers. ⠀ Creed II is as much about Rocky making peace with his life choices as it is about Creed. Stallone gets a decent amount of screen time, and is his usual captivating self in the role. Michael B. Jordan puts on a real show, and Tessa Thompson is great once again. The Drago side story is just as intriguing, exploring the fallout after the conclusion of ‘Rocky IV’ from Ivan’s point-of-view. ⠀ The boxing sequences once again are well executed and intricately shot. You really feel every punch. Although there are lulls in the action, Caple Jr. gives time for the characters, family dramas and relationships to really develop, packing the finale with a meatier emotional punch. Of course, there are only so many ways of telling a similar story, but Creed II is still an entertaining watch, full of heart, nostalgia for die-hard ‘Rocky’ fans, and just about outshines its predecessor. ⠀ #FilmReview #MovieReview #Film #Movie #Review #FilmCritic #MovieCritic #Creed #CreedMovie #Creed2 #MichaelBJordan #SylvesterStallone #Rocky #Action #Boxing #Sport #StevenCapleJr #TessaThompson #PhyliciaRashad #DolphLundgren #FlorianMunteanu #RussellHornsby #WoodHarris #MiloVentimiglia #RobbieJohns #AndreWard #BrigitteNielsen
