When I started my business others immediately categorized it as that THING I was doing! That Pyramid Scheme I was sucked in to! That cult that was brainwashing me not to eat normal food! In fact, there were people who unfriended me, people who stopped talking to me, people who avoided me. Did it hurt? Did I get upset? UMMMM YEAH... I am human and I do have feelings! It rocked me, it stopped me a few times and of course I questioned what I was doing. But what I will say is this. I believe that I am truly helping people. I also believe and respect that its not for everyone. I know that I have the utmost good intentions to transform others lives to be the best that they can be! Not everyone is open to new ideas, but those who are I embrace with open arms!!! It took me some time to get tough skin, to stop caring what other people think and to run my own race!! But thankfully the feeling in my gut that this was the absolute right place for me is what drove me during those times. Building a business is hard, but anythingis worth having is worth fighting for! At the end of the day, you cant care what others think. You cant pay your bills with their opinions! This is your life and other people dont have to wake up and walk in your shoes! Veggies bound for the grill for a catering event this evening. This is one of my favorite side dishes because it’s super simple, healthy and easy to really wow people with flavor. ⁣ ⁣ The trick I learned from Josh McFadden’s Six Seasons is yo wait to add olive oil until AFTER grilling. I was a little hesitant at first but it really does make for more flavor. For one, the oil burns quickly and creates an acrid flavor you definitely don’t want on fresh veggies. Second, vegetables have their own sugars that caramelize as they are cooked. Today marks my 60 days on this program. It has been a ride. I started this program thinking there was no way I could do those moves and have results. Boy was I wrong. I went from modifying to now doing things full out and lifting heavier weights. My husband says I am solid and toning up. . After having 4 kids and being over 40 I never thought I could get a toned body again. Well its still a work in progress but everyday I get closer and closer to being happy with my body. . Day 317 of #my365challenge. Feeling great after a 25min #intervalrun at between 85% and 106% of my MHR this evening, followed by 10min of plank based exercises. I have been struggling trying to get my body clock back in sync and could not wake up in time to workout this morning. When I dont exercise in the morning, I tend to feel lethargic throughout the day so my energy levels were extremely low by this afternoon. The beauty that I find with exercise, is that less than 5min into it, Im always amazed at how that sluggish feeling quickly vanishes, regardless of the activity, and how much my body suddenly seems to enjoy whatever it is Im doing. A bit of a winter warmer dinner tonight. I’ve been trying to have lower carb meals for dinner but after feeling a bit meh all day this has absolutely hit the spot 😍 lemon salmon pasta - recipe ⬇️ . . . . 60g high protein brown pasta 90g salmon 35g Philadelphia light Dash of skimmed milk Lemon juice . . . 1. Boil the pasta until soft, while oven cooking the salmon until cooked 2. Drain the water from the pasta and add the Philadelphia and a splash of skimmed milk 3. Stir the pasta while adding in the salmon 4. Add a touch of lemon juice 5. Dish it up and leave to thicken for 5 minutes . Enjoy it warm of cold! . . . TOP TIP 🌟 . . Im nervous but excited about Thanksgiving...this is our first Thanksgiving with Tommy where he will get to experience a big family celebration...I grew up celebrating with my extended family...but Tommy has yet to have that same joy...Ive ben selfish and have wanted to keep my holidays small but its sad and I noticed in his eyes last year as he noticed other families celebrating that he wanted to know what that was like. He and fell in love with his cousins this past January and now cant wait to se them again...I cant either...I hope it will be a start of a new tradi... . . What makes me nervous is no gym for three days...Ive already started planning in my head now I will get an early pre drive workout on Wednesday and how I can double up next week...but I shot that voice down...I remind myself how I need a break, I wont shrink, nothing bad will happen...I will have a great time and enjoy the festivities and Ill return to the gym just fine...maybe even stronger... . . I need my peptalks often because though Im fine and strong and aware-that voice pops in...I will be fine, no regrets...this is my life and making the sacrifice to be with my family and enjoy life is the decision I need to make more and more often...I only have this life, Tommy will be cute and sweet for so long 😂...and then what...so I will live each day and each moment appreciating what I have...I am lucky...❤ . . A compound power move I always do. My form struggled a little since I filmed this after my workout, so my arms were all jelly haha. You start with high plank, which works your entire body. Dropping one elbow first, then followed by your other. Using your upper body strength to push yourself back up to your hands. Give that a try and let me know how it is!
