I slept in & it was amazing!! 😆. . I really love my quiet time in the early morning, but sometimes you just need to listen to your body, and mine needed rest. . I’m enjoying my “go to” breakfast now, we’ll be getting outside to shovel and play in the snow, a stretch workout (going to need that 😆) and getting some coach planning done is on the menu for today 😄. . C O N S I S T E N C Y- the last few days I feel like a lot of people have been down in their journeys- whether it be fitness or mental health related. Don’t forget how far your have come! Stay consistent and it will pay off👌🏼 . Find a routine that works for you and stick to it! Habits won’t happen overnight but if you find a routine you enjoy and is obtainable it will be something you can do consistently! If your plan isn’t working out- no big deal- switch it up until you find something that works for you! 💥 (what works for someone else may not work for you so don’t beat yourself up about it) . Hip thrusts - do you do them? . I have a love hate relationship with them. I love them because they make your booty BURN 🔥 but I hate the amount of work they are to set up. . I really, really, really didn’t feel like meal prepping today. Actually, I wanted to take a nap because this mama is tired 😆. : But I cranked some music, and reminded myself WHY I meal prep. Honestly, without making a plan, I know I will fail to eat healthy. I strongly dislike cooking, and if I don’t have a plan, I know I will reach for the takeout menu 🤷‍♀️ 🤔. . We won’t always “feel like” making healthy choices, but you just have to push through it! Do the things!!! You won’t regret it {you might if you don’t!} and it’s always worth the effort. . Hope is not a strategy, PLAN FOR SUCCESS 💕

McDonalds, Burger King and any other junk food I could get my hands on for a delicious salty and fatty meal. Living now in a SUPER small town you have to drive like 30+ minutes to get McDonalds. This program, my accountability group and focusing on the small victories have led me to this: This victory, instead of rewarding my hard workouts this week and weight loss with a “cheat” I dived even further into getting my nutrition on track even more. I researched and found this gem: How to make the perfect omelet definitely not how I learned in home economics back in the day 😳 Super simple: 3 eggs 1.5 slices bacon 1 cup chopped kale 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper Salt pepper to taste. This was amazing and super simple. For me the easier it is the more likely I am to succeed. Share this recipe with your friends who want a simple morning go to! The fact that I feel THIS good during period week 😂 + only 4 days in, just solidifies WHY I have been on this journey for 3 years♥️ because our friggin programs, plans, and accountability WORKS🎉 // I did over 50,000 steps this week, I had zero social life, I did A LOT of self care AND I showed up for the first week DESPITE knowing how tired I was going to be from being on my feet 🦶 all day 😂 // I’m not taking any more progress pictures until the end of week 3 (HALF WAY MARK) but I just had to share what SOLID workouts, tracking my macros, getting enough sleep, drinking water, drinking my superfoods, post workout + being diligent with my self care can do for you in a short period of time! // (Now don’t get me wrong- good things take time) but to all the ladies out there, YALL KNOW THE AUNT FLO BLOAT IS REAL 😂😜 so if ya feel good, then talk about it♥️ // That being said, gonna go take this face mask off, probably eat some chocolate 🍫 + finishing bingeing YOU on @netflix

Never Miss A TUESDAY. Hear me out, I have this theory.... Mondays are a back to work day after the weekend, typically fitspos shout from the rooftops saying #Nevermissamonday HOWEVER... I think that just adds more pressure to the start of your week. What happens when you DO miss a Monday? You generally feel like you didnt get off to a good start and then that can effect the rest of your week (Ill start again next Monday) I think Mondays should be a get back to work and into routine day and if you eat well and exercise then thats great BUT its not an absolute must, use that day to get yourself ready for the week ahead and then #NMAT kicks in (Never miss a Tuesday) This has been my approach for years and I truly believe it has served me well, I dont feel like when I go to bed on a Sunday night that I have to wake up motivated, planned and with a strict agenda to do everything right I simply removed the pressure of Mondays fresh start policy and allowed myself to ease into the start of the week knowing that I will #NMAT I now know that the decisions I make on a Monday wont ruin my entire week. I honestly feel like anything that ADDS pressure to your life needs to be reviewed and amended. If you feel pressurised into starting each Monday with the perfect start and it negativly effects you when it doesnt happen just STOP DOING IT. Its not about not doing anything at all on a Monday, if you do start Monday well then thats great, its more about removing the pressure from HAVING to start perfectly on a Monday and then that effecting your mood and your week. I have never experienced a back injury during working out. Until today. My balance was off at the start, my form wasn’t great, and somehow in the middle of leg lunges with a leg lift, a twinge totally threw me off my game. I wasn’t quite sure what happened so I took a moment to stretch and try to continue and then my body LOUDLY told me to stop. So...with only 10 mins left...I hobbled back upstairs. Lesson learned. Form is everything. FIERY ASAIN MEATBALLS AND SLAW! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ *For the Meatballs: • 3 lbs lean ground beef • 1.5 c shredded sweet potato (this is a bread crumb replacement, the starch helps bind the meatballs • 3 eggs • 1/4 cup fresh grated ginger • 3/4 t salt • 1 t pepper • 15 green onions, chopped fine, tops included. • 3 crushed garlic cloves For the Sauce • 1/2 c soy sauce or Tamari • 1/2 c rice wine vinegar • 1/2 c Sriracha • 1/4c fresh grated ginger • 4 T crushed garlic • 1T toasted sesame oil • 1T Molasses For the Slaw • 4-6 cups shredded red cabbage • 4-6 cups shredded napa cabbage • 2 cups shredded or “matchstick” carrots *Mix all meatball ingredients and shape into balls. I made golf-ball size ones, about 2-3 oz each. I like to cook mine in a frying pan, but you can also bake them. Turn with a fork to cook the outside evenly, turn down to low and cook for 5-7 more minutes. This made 32 meatballs. If not serving immediately, transfer into sealed container. *In a saucepan, mix all ingredients for sauce and heat to a simmer, stirring regularly. After about 10 minutes, it should be noticeably thicker. Pour into sealable container if not serving immediately. *Mix cabbages and carrots. When ready to serve, use about a tablespoon of the sauce for every two cups of slaw. *To plate, I like a bed of spinach, with slaw on one side and meatballs on the other. yOu can dip the meatballs into the sauce or pout a little over the top. Remember, I warned you about the heat!

So here goes.. my first 5k on the treadmill! Ive decided to do Mud Girl with @fatgirlstrikesback this coming July! It will be a little over a year from the start of my journey & I turn 40 early July! Never in my life would I think Id be agreeing to do any sort of marathon, let alone in mud 😂. I walked some, ran some, and made it to the end!
