There is no shame in beginning again , for it gives us the chance to build bigger and better than before . Breaking my foot 5 weeks ago really tested me on this one , but it highlighted my ability to adapt , appreciate and reevaluate ( with a few wobbles on the way , I am human!!) . Set backs , roadblocks , change , life will inevitably cause us to rethink our goals and change our route . Trying to view this as an opportunity and moving forward with intent and focus can entirely change how you approach your progress in all aspects of life not just training and nutrition. I guide my clients toward focusing on progress not perceived ideas of perfection or one big final goal , to be consistent and to enjoy every little success on the way . To also understand sometimes we have to look harder to see the small victories ! We find a route that works for them , if theres a roadblock we find a new path . We take breaks . There is not only one method or way and set backs happen . Progress won’t always be linear. Drown out the noise as much as possible and focus on you , your priorities and move forward with intent and belief in yourself . Don’t allow a set back stop you. Meatless Mondays Lentils provide a healthy dose of complex carbohydrates, protein and are naturally fat-free. Lentil Salad Recipe (1-2 servings) Ingredients: ✔️1 1/2 cups cooked lentils ✔️2 cucumbers, sliced ✔️1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, sliced ✔️1/4 cup fresh rosemary or any other choice of herb ✔️1 tsp slivered almonds Dressing: ✔️1/2 lemon, juiced ✔️2 tsp olive oil ✔️Pinch of black pepper ✔️Salt (to taste) ✔️1/4 tsp cumin ✔️1/4 tsp mustard Cooking Method: Bring lentils to a boil until cooked. Dreaming of warmer weather when I could enjoy outdoor activities 😏As winter arrived I tried to keep up my routine of running early in the morning. Lately, waking up at 6.15 & walking out into a freezing cold, complete darkness & using a torch to follow the road & trying not to fall into a ditch simply didnt inspire me. I tried it a few times but felt like I was running for the sake of doing sport rather than really enjoying it . So I had to review that part of my exercise routine & slot in running later in the day, until the season changes. Guess sometimes, we need to review our habits /routines to see whether they still fit into our lives & serve their purpose. This fine tuning , in my eyes , does have the connotation of the negative undertones like «  giving up » but a positive, moving forward , self-caring attitude. Is it time to review some of your habits?

Another big disappointment was this optimum nutrition protein bar. Picked it up cause of the cookies and cream white chocolate flavour but honestly , I feel like I just suffered an investment loss of 244 calories , 24g of protein , 2g of fat and only “3g” of carbs.
