I think EVERYONE knows by now Abs are made in the kitchen馃嵔 Well If you don鈥檛, now you do馃槒 With that being said, to help strengthen your core and to sculpt them bad boys, it doesn鈥檛 hurt to hit them directly a few days a week. My favorite movement is the 鈥淗anging Leg Raise鈥. Give it a try馃憣 Keep your legs together, your core tight and avoid swinging. If leg raises are too tough, try knee ups. Can鈥檛 hang? If your gym has a Roman chair, you can do the same movement on their as well.馃憡

Building on yesterday鈥檚 post.... Why do you workout? Why do you move your body in a way that feels good to you? It鈥檚 good to question these motives as I, hand on heart, had been doing it for the wrong reasons for about 6 years. [] I was doing it because I wanted the perfect body bc then everything else would be perfect. My troubles would vanish and I would be happy. I was doing it because I wanted to be able to justify the amount I was eating. And trust me I was binging to the point of excruciating pain and guilt and it was not pretty. But in my mind it made sense...I鈥檓 going to burn it off tomorrow, right? [] Fast forward to now and I had a moment of clarity whilst literally lying on the gym floor after a round of jump squats (who am I rn?) and it was that I, CB now workout for ME. Not for justification, not for validation, not to look like someone who鈥檚 in the health industry, but simply because it makes ME feel good, gives me energy and is me time. [] I invite you to have a think, find out your why and if it feels off...dig into that. Always question. Always adapt. Well I did something that I have not done in years. . ....I joined a gym! 馃挭馃徎馃憦馃徎 . If you know me...you KNOW that I have a home gym... so why would I go to the gym? 馃 . Well.. my workouts are not 100% focused. They are always interrupted by little people and distractions around the home. . I felt the need to get out of the house for my FWTFL strength training days so I can really give it my all if I鈥檓 going to make progress towards my goals. . Paying for child care was something I thought would make me feel guilty...But I realized there is nothing to feel guilty about. It will only make me drive to town to do it because I booked it and I鈥檓 paying for it! . I鈥檓 looking forward to working out in a different environment and I LOVE that the FWTFL workouts are so perfect for anywhere. . Here鈥檚 just a few reasons why I love our workouts.... . 鉁 They are simple, easy to follow 鉁 They are QUICK. I need to be in and out in an hour so I can pick up Brant 鉁 They are HIGHLY EFFECTIVE. I have no desire or need to grind through a super intense workout that makes me not want to do it at all. 馃し馃徏鈥嶁檧锔 . In my FWTFL rounds, we focus mainly on nutrition. Are our FEARS actually valid?鈦 Are they holding us back?鈦b仯鈦 -鈦b仯鈦b仯 Fear is a response our body experiences when it senses danger and may serve as well in life or death situations. It did that for our ancestors. 鈦b仯鈦b仯 -鈦b仯鈦b仯 HOWEVER, in modern times we are often FEARFUL of things that don鈥檛 pose a threat to us.鈦b仯鈦b仯 -鈦b仯鈦b仯 WE FEAR THE SMALLEST THINGS and let it dictate our actions. It limits what we are actually capable of achieving.鈦b仯鈦b仯 -鈦b仯鈦b仯 Fear is necessary for us to survive as it is a protective mechanism. BUT my point is let鈥檚 CHOOSE and be MINDFUL of what is FEAR WORTHY.鈦b仯鈦b仯 -鈦b仯鈦b仯 Let鈥檚 look at our fears and ask ourselves if what we are fearful of have REAL CONSEQUENCES and if it poses a REAL THREAT to us.鈦b仯鈦b仯 -鈦b仯鈦b仯 If there is no real consequence, no real threat, then why should we be fearful?鈦b仯鈦b仯 -鈦b仯鈦b仯 Why should we run away?
