So top left is me about a year or so ago when I was training for American Ninja Warrior, I was at around 145lbs. Bottom right was me a few months or so back at 145lbs as well. The bottom right though is with not as much training, as my ankle still is limited, so I had a very different body fat percentage and muscle mass in each picture. The other 3 pictures are current, and my weight in them is 135lbs. Still, I am no where near the muscle mass I had in the top right picture. Even then, the top right wasnt even close to where I wanted to be for goals muscle gain wise. Now, with all that being said I plan to loose a little more weight in fat, but I definitely plan to gain a decent amount of weight from muscle. Point being; scale does not mean shit. I preach this so many times to people and no one seems to listen. Scaling yourself is good and all but mainly for purpose of checking your water weight and tracking it to replenish what you lost, collecting an average to see progress OVER TIME, but the scale should not dictate your success or goals in anyway as far as your fitness journey is concerned. Special when weight will fluctuate so much, often times it will discourage people that frequently check the scale. You are not going to loose a killing in weight in one day (just like one meal slip up, or even two is not going to make you pack on weight with in a day) let alone a week or two. This is a slow process guys, but its worth it. Not the case, just close your mouth and see what happens ✅ . . By limiting yourself to nasal breathing in a workout, you will force the body into a better position. Your body wants more air so it will find the best position to recruit the diaphragm and a full breath. . . Nasal breathing also helps filter the air going into your lungs. The water in New South Wales is nothing like the Gold Coast 😂 My heart was beating fast and I was gasping for air but I LOVE IT. Nothing more rejuvenating than the ocean, whether hot or cold. TRY THIS if you find it tricky waking up, gaining energy or getting ready/loose before exercise when you awaken. Especially if you like ☕️ its been a game changer for me since my partner introduced it: COLD WATER 💦 your body is at its coldest when you awaken so it wont feel brutal, trust me! Itll get your circulation going, and youll feel super alive after. Even if you do a few minutes, starting by your feet and working all your way up. Then finish with a hot shower if you want, I like to keep it cold though unless the air temperature is freezing. At first I was skeptical but now I love it and it gets me in the best mood. I sometimes do a dance in the shower and then my body naturally shakes it off as I get out and warm up. Loose, alive and excited. When Im in London Im often getting up at 5:30am, jogging to a client and going through a workout with them, and I feel so much more alert after a cold shower. Even better after the ocean though!! 🌊

Sometimes you need some off time... Discipline is important. Dieting is important. Working out is important. Working hard is important. But so is not doing all of those things. Off time isnt something you take after a few days of doing what youre supposed to, but at a certain point, you deserve to unwind. Thats what I just spent the past 4 days doing, and it was amazing. No stress, no problems. Sometimes thats just as healthy as tracking your macros and working out for 2 hours a day. . And now I feel refreshed and recharged. And its time to get back to work, better than ever.

Here are some advanced burpees Ive learned about this month @fx3fitness . The first two clips are of myself performing a double burpee. So every movement is performed twice in a row. The third clip shows a more intricate burpee called the beast squat burpee. I found this one fun! . Go ahead and try them out at home! If youre anything like me, you live a busy life. Being constantly on the go can make it difficult to eat healthy. Trust me, I know this personally. But difficult is not impossible. Quest Bars are one of my favorite ways to get my nutrition on the go. These are protein bars that are actually not packed with sugar or fat, and the high fiber content fills you up so that you can keep running without dealing with hunger pangs an hour later. My favorite flavors are definitely Birthday Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Chocolate Brownie. They taste so much like a dessert that it can be hard to realize that youre actually sticking to your diet! Give these a shot if you need some on-the-go protons like I always do.

Workout of the Dayyyyyy This one in particular focuses on increasing chest power and on getting a full range of motion when youre moving eccentrically (in the downward phase), which is important for maximizing the strength that your chest muscles have to offer. As a bonus, this exercise also works your deltoids, triceps and core. Give these a shot if normal push ups are getting too easy for you and you feel comfortable doing clap push ups.

. Never underestimate the power of a day of rest!! Working hard is important but the mental and physical benefits of taking a day-or even a few hours-to recuperate are endless! Whether its having a beer with friends, watching your favorite movie in your PJs or anything in between, give yourself some time to not worry. Dont make the mistake of wearing yourself down, take a little while to let your body rest, let your mind relax, and get yourself back on track for the upcoming week.
