Tired Of Sore Shoulders On Pushups? 💣Try elevated full ROM Full Range Of Movement pushups. 💥A push up when done correctly is a posterior and anterior movement engaging both the front and back line of the body. 💨With a traditional push up our range of movement is shortened by our chest coming in to contact with the ground. 🤚By only working a partial range of movement the subscapularis a large triangular muscle which is the strongest of the group of the 4 rotator cuffs that attatches the humerus upper arm bone to the front shoulder capsule cannot be sufficiently engaged. 💪This means much of the support and strength of the shoulder is lost and direct stress is instead placed in to the shoulder joint itself overloading the shoulder joint by placing it in an impinged and weakened position where natural shoulder function is drastically reduced. 👀Try this alternative and please feel free to give me feed back guys. Danish Obstacle Course Race 👊Upon arriving in Copenhagen to visit @jakobbaydk I was informed out of the blue that I would be competing in an endurance OCR race 3 days later. 👉I do not train specifically for endurance as I am not an endurance athlete what I train for is life to be a well rounded athlete in all disciplines with a broad spectrum of training modalities as part of my programme such as calisthenics, weightlifting, speed work, boxing, ocean kayking etc. 👣So when I was thrown in to the uncharted territory of an endurance event I had already trained for that scenario. 👀The moral of the story is do not get to focused on 1 modality of training and instead train for any scenario possible this way you will reduce imbalances in the body and be much better prepared to perform the random events that life or @jakobbay throw at you😂😂. Explosive Power Conditioning 💪Todays focus was on maximum type 2 muscle fibre recruitment with the aim being to improve force production whilst also being able to better resist external force being applied to the body. 👊Type 2 muscle fibers are recruited when we are doing explosive power and speed movements such as sprinting, jumping and lifting weights with the intent of moving at high velocity. 💣Aim for low repetitions when doing explosive power training as maximum quality of movement is the main focus and not complete muscular fatigue. 💥Rest regularly between sets keeping the sets short to keep the workout as anaerobic as possible using prodominantly ATP and not oxygen as fuel. 🕟Also be sure to allow adequate recovery as much as 4 minutes between sets this will improve the mitrochondrial density of the muscle fibers, the more mitrochondria the muscles have equals more ability to produce more force💪 Sending good energy and inner strength to you all.
