Heres most of my leg training from yesterday. It turned into a family affair half way through because my youngest woke up from his nap. Maybe it can give you guys some variations to try. Pulses or constant tension reps can be a great way to change up a routine without increasing weight. The stair steps I did at the end while carrying my baby was killer!!! Ouch! In a good way 😉 Being at home has its limitations equipment wise but its no excuse for not getting in a great workout. I started with a short Olympic bar underneath my bed with a few plates, and a pull up bar. Now Ive slowly built up a decent little home gym, but Its taken....🤔 7 years? I often think we get paralyzed, by WHAT we should do, and end up doing nothing. how many reps? How many sets? Whats the best exercises? does it matter if your not doing anything? Start! Same goes for macros. What should my macros be? Does it matter if you havent even tracked what your currently eating in one day? How about a week? Nope. Start. Start. Develop a routine. Whats up, fit crew! I hope you all had a great weekend! I thought Id post up a few pics from the past few days as well as a couple squat videos from early Friday mornings workout and a couple deadlift videos from yesterday afternoons workout. Ive been a little MIA on posting but have still been busy with work, workouts, and Friday night I had an ugly Christmas sweater party, which was a blast! My sweater didnt win top 3 this year (there were quite a crew good ones), but I still love it haha. Ill share a pic of it sometime later. - - For squats, I did 3 sets of 10 - 2 sets safety squat bar with 405 lbs and 1 set high bar with 380 lbs. Deadlifts, 3 sets of 10 - 2 sets conventional with 510 lbs then 505 lbs and 1 set sumo with 565 lbs. All of those went pretty well! All of those weights were pretty much what I did last mesocycle for 9 reps, so so far, so good lol. - - I finished a push workout a couple hours ago, and tomorrow after work Ill be doing pull session! Lets talk motivation! ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Four people this week told me that they recently lost their motivation to workout and want to get back into it. What should they do? Well, I may have some advice to them and anyone else reading this. Go through your phone and see the last 10 people you texted. Imagine youre sitting at a table with your co-workers and closest friends. Out of all those people, do any of them exercise regularly? If not, you may have found your problem 🤔 We spend a huge portion of our lives with family, our top 3 or 4 friends, and our co-workers. If none of these groups have any interest in working out, what do you think the odds that youll be motivated to do it yourself? One of the main reasons group fitness programs like Orange Theory or Crossfit do so well is that they capitalize on our basic human need to fit in with those around us Long story short, Im not saying to ditch your non-fit friends, but you should definitely consider expanding your social circle to include those that are more health conscious. Last set from today. 155 10x10 200 10x5... 🥊 Been MIA because I was abroad for a month and didn’t really workout for about 5-6 weeks total. First time lifting around 200 in 3 months (mid August). Strength and endurance finally feels 💯 back to normal. Squats felt easy today.
