Has it been 2 weeks already? My favorite weekends are race weekends.. Thank goodness I have signed up for 3 more before the year is up ✌️😜 #cantstopwontstop I have fought through the fog, depression, family giving me hard time, for getting after my dreams.. over coming binge eating and so much more.. THEY don’t live inside you and you get to choose every single day how you feel.. I choose JOY and giving back every single day to what has changed my life.. If I can, you can.. I’ve had to sell stuff, limit outtings, cut back on material things.. WHY? Because health matters and it took me a long time to get where I am.. The truth is.. I’d rather live off the memories of traveling great distances and getting those messages.. I’m so thankful I said yes.. I needed this today and that above all things breathes life into me.. When the anxiety is showing it’s ugly face, you run 8 miles to help push it away. • These last few weeks have been all sorts of rough on me and I’ve been slacking in my marathon training because of it. Hoping I’m back to my normal routine now that I’m figuring some things out. • Grateful for God giving me the outlet of running to clear my head and rest in Him.

Outside of the comfort zone looks different for all of us but thats where the magic happens. Maybe its saying no to that 2nd piece of pizza while your family is digging in right in front of you. 🍕 Maybe its attending a group fitness class for the first time or stepping foot in the gym for the first time. 🧘‍♀️ Maybe its trading your 5 oclock glass of wine for a walk instead. 🍷🏃‍♀️ Or maybe its doing the slow not so exciting physio exercises that you know are good for you...uh huh... thats whats outside of my comfort zone right now. Mentally that is more challenging for me than anything.🤪 But Im working on pushing through because I want to progress. Heyyy, there you are, fall. . When I woke up this morning and it was 62 degrees outside, I knew we were going to take it to the track for some sprint work. Literally one of my favorite things about #fallinflorida is when the humidity drops below like 80% and you can run outside without suffocating. #myfavorite . I hid my very first before picture, when I secretly signed up to be a an online fitness coach.. I thought who would want to join me looking like this🙈 I was so incredibly wrong and more importantly selfish to what as changed my life.. When you decide to stop comparing, feeling defeated, and stop living your life based on someone else’s judgment.. ONLY THEN, you can begin to reborn.. Trust me I get it.. The struggle is real.. Healthy habits are so basic but guess what????? They work. My runners are not dieting, taking expensive supplements or weighing their food. They don’t have long lists of foods they can’t eat and they aren’t fussing about having to give up their favorite foods. They are learning about food, how it works, how to eat it and how to train strong. They are focused on mastering some serious daily healthy habits and they are getting obsessed about doing them every day. Getting fit is not glamorous, it is the grind. It is about commitment, discipline and focus over time. There is just no other way. Are you a master of your daily habits? Do you want to get fit or are you ok doing what you’re doing?

Who else got their workout in today?! I got in a 2.5 mile #run in preparation for my #HotCiderHustle coming up in 11 days!! The #countdown is on!! Next time itll be 2.75 miles! I cannot believe how far I have come since the end of August. I love seeing my progress going from a 16 minute miles pace to a 12 minute mile pace and running longer distances! After all day training, there are choices before dinner. What would you choose? Some nap, some go outlet shopping, and I get my workout in. I had to find a gym to use their weights and stick to my program because our hotel had no fitness center at all. Room was too crowded to use my BOD with the resistance band I brought. Roomie was napping. And because I made a commitment to my support group and to myself that I would keep it up regardless of how crazy life gets. When there’s a will, there’s a way. Even if you have to sign up for a free pass or pay to use the only gym around. Is it bad that the whole entire time all I could think about were the commercials for this place?😜 The way exercise and eating healthy makes me feel is unbelievably the best feeling that no one can take away from me and only I can create myself. I choose to honor myself in this moment and that of my future self. It’s important to me. Honor yourself today too.

Today was a good run. Despite the 97% humidity and the 73 degree dew point, today felt good. Hit all my paces in my tempo run this morning. Which was definitely welcome after another challenging run on Monday. Just a week and a half until I #runwiththemarines 😬 I’m excited, but really I’m most excited to see friends & family who live in VA/DC who will be around the course. Started planning a route for my husband to catch me at different points on the course! 😁 One more long(ish) run on Friday, then the countdown is on!! 👊🏻 @marinecorpsmarathon I’m coming for ya! Oh, we’re getting our bathroom remodeled, which explains the giant dumpster in my driveway.
