#AskRUNVI: Im new to running, how can I find a suitable breathing rhythm when I run? Breathing is important, especially when youre running. You inhale the oxygen that is needed to keep the muscles running, and exhale the CO2 that is not needed anymore. Just make sure to breath regularly. Inhale through both - nostrils and mouth, exhale through your mouth. But don’t get too caught up in this. Best is to just let it flow naturally. Dream BIG! Work hard and never stop believing in what you’re capable of! Here we are with 97 miles to go, with no other thought than crossing that finish line! ⠀ Running takes a lot of belief, as much as we all love this sport.. it’s so freaking tough at times. But it also allows us to dream and get lost in our thoughts of what we can achieve! ⠀ A few people will be getting their London Marathon good for ages places today.. a sign of all that dedication they put in to get the qualifying time.. dreaming and it came true! Every weekend runners are getting their BQ’s, their guaranteed entry slots, a PB at Parkrun, running their longest ever run.. dreams coming true all the time! ⠀ For me we started 2018 with two goals, qualifying for UTMB on the trails and running a road marathon in 2:28. One became a reality when we finished the NDW 100 miler (all the footage is on YouTube!) and now I’m working harder than ever to carve my body into shape for Valencia in December. Could 2:28 actually happen?? It will be super tough, but I believe it can! ⠀ Dream, be ambitious, set ridiculous goals.. you never know where it can take you! It’s taken me on a crazy journey so far.. it’s mad when looking back to see what’s possible with a bit of belief and hard work. Valencia will be my 60th Marathon!! Před rokem a čtyřmi měsíci, asi tři dny před startem půlmaratonu v Praze jsem si řekla, že bych to teda taky mohla zkusit a začala jsem si shánět startovné. Povedlo se a uběhla jsem to i bez předchozích tréninků a to mě překvapuje, na takhle dlouhé trasy nikdy netrénuju. A v kategorii žen do 35 let jsem na 95. místě. Úžasná atmosféra, hudba, podpora a kolem mě snad dalších 12 000 lidí se stejným cílem <3 Nebýt AR tak bych se asi k běhání nedostala. Třeba bych se šla vyběhat po tréninku, ale rozhodně bych nebyla na takové úrovni, abych zvládla půlmaratón a ještě v dobrém čase. Děkuju.
