My very first Fierce workout ✅ I loved the style of training however I did find quite easy (as in I wasn’t very out of breath). I ended up not taking any breaks until I had done the three rounds of each circuit which meant the workout only ended up taking about 15 ish minutes. I definitely think the other two workouts will be much more challenging, and I’m very mindful that I’m at the beginner week 1. Looking forward to the next Fierce workout! Quick and easy lunch! I love mixing up my protein sources so that I only have an animal protein source for one meal (usually dinner) and a veggie source for the other meal. This has been my mantra the past year and moving forward. I have had a pretty tough week, between my toe injury, a lot of stress at work, and a def lapse in my diet has had me feeling down this week. I am so thankful I saw this in my photos today, I needed the reminder. My toe is on the mend, so no longer going to let it hold me back. My best #workouttips is to do what makes your spirit dance! Then your body won’t mind moving along with it! Your workout motivation can not be shallow but should be #spiritual, otherwise you’ll fail over and over. I usually dance or do karate but I do yoga with with the @sweat app every morning. I recommend this app for most at-home workouts. You can choose your goal, type of workout, etc and watch your weekly progress. I’m competitive so naturally I like to beat myself and get better each week. It’s very clean and stylish looking yet fun so give it a try! Saturday sweat sesh ✅ I love working out on the weekend because I don’t have to rush or worry about time. Today, I went in with the goal to burn 500 calories. I started with 20 mins incline LISS (burned 100 cals) and then did a full body workout I made up. It took over an hour but I finally hit the 500 mark and it felt amazing. 🎉💪🏻🎉 Tonight, I have to find an outfit for a holiday event, and I’m hoping my hard work the last couple weeks is paying off. Im not everyones cup of tea. (Or in this case, smoothie. 😜)⠀ ⠀ While we know not everyone is gonna like us, many of us still act out of a desire to please instead of what feels right in our heart. And I may be one of the worst offenders when it comes to people-pleasing. ⠀ ⠀ This year, my time became even more precious than ever. Like many of you, my schedule is full from 5:30am until 9pm or later, and yet I constantly had the nagging feeling like I wasnt getting anything done! When I began looking at how I spent my time, I realized how much I wasted doing things out of obligation or guilt. Not only did that take time away from the things that matter most to me, but it was also a LIE. Because when we act out of a desire to please, not only do we feel like we should be saying yes, we feel like we should WANT to say yes. And that communicates something different than what we actually feel!⠀ ⠀ Of course, living authentically is often uncomfortable and can even have negative consequenses in the short term. Over the past year, Ive lost jobs, friends, and income because of it. But in return for those sacrifices, Ive gained something even more powerful: a deeply grounded sense of who I am, and what matters most. ⠀ ⠀ Im not gonna say I dont still catch myself doing things because thats what good girls do, but baby steps. ⠀ ⠀ Do you have a similar story? INTEGRITY: the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. ⠀⠀ In the world of social media, it’s easy to get caught up. The money, the “insta fame”, the sponsorships, etc. When this happens, people forget WHO they are, WHY they’re on this platform and WHAT they truly value. People’s feeds become a billboard for an excessive amount of companies that they don’t stand behind or believe in. A lot of people are up and coming and are reaching great success and opportunities which is AMAZING, don’t get me wrong — just don’t forget your roots and your true colours in the midst of it all. Now, I understand people can CHANGE but, there’s a different between changing for the good and changing for the greed. Just an observation. 🤷🏻‍♀️ ⠀⠀ On another note, having such an AMAZING time in Houston this week so far. I thought I would share what Ive learned so far during my journey. 1. Patience, progress does not happen over night and is going to take time no matter your goal is. 2. Do not compare yourself to others. No two peoples journeys or progress look alike. 3. Habits. Creating habits will get you a long way. Motivation wont last forever but if youve created habits youll keep going. It takes about 21 days to create a habit. 4. Consistency. Make yourself a schedule to follow. Habits and consistency goes hand in hand. Creating habits will give you a consistent routine. 5. Progress photos. All though only motivation wont get you all the way its still important. But it will truly show you your progress much better than a scale would. 6. Diet. Youre not going to see the results you want without a good sustainable diet. I prefer flexible dieting. 7. Setting realistic goals. Not everything works for everyone. I have dabbled in and out of kayla itsines’ BBG for years and have never got past week 3. I so desperately wanted a bbg transformation but deep down I hated the feeling of almost dying and preferred weight training so always went back to that. But never seriously. Fast forward a few years and I am almost 5 months post-partum 👶🏼with a holiday looming next year 🌴. Cue my usual ‘I look awful in a bikini’ panic and a trip to the gym to sign up AGAIN. However, this time my focus is different. I’m not as bothered about what I look like in a bikini anymore, I guess my priorities have changed now I’m a mother 🤷‍♀️. Now I want to feel strong 💪 - I want to be able to hold my baby without getting achy arms after a few minutes, I want to be able to stand and rock him to sleep without my back killing 🥵. When he is older I want to be fit enough to run around after him. Don’t get me wrong, I do want to feel good in a bikini, which will involve losing some weight and toning up, but I am being realistic. I want to feel good in a bikini because I want to actually enjoy my son’s first holiday - I don’t want to look back and just remember feeling embarrassed by my body. So instead of wandering around the gym, doing a bit of this and a bit of that, I have signed up to @sweat and have begun @kelseywells #pwrprogram 💪 So here’s to the next few months! 🥜 NO-BAKE PEANUT BUTTER PROTEIN BALLS 🥜 ⠀⠀ These one bite wonders are perfect for on the go and are VEGAN and can be adjusted to be gluten-free and dairy-free as well. ⠀⠀ INGREDIENTS: ⠀⠀ - 1 scoop @1upnutrition Vegan Peanut Butter Protein - 1 cup Oats (can use gluten free) - 1/2 cup Almond Milk - 1/4 cup Water - 1/3 Walnuts - 2 tsp Vanilla Extract - 2 tbsp sugar free syrup - 1/3 cup Flaxseed Meal - 1/3 cup Peanut Butter - 1/3 cup Stevia Chocolate Chips (use vegan chocolate chips, if needed) ⠀⠀ DIRECTIONS: 1. In a mixing bowl, stir together the peanut butter, sugar free syrup and vanilla extract. 1. Stir in the oats until well combined and then add the chocolate chips. If the mixture doesn’t hold together well when pinched together, add a teaspoon at a time until the mixture holds together well when pinched of additional water. 2. These are my happy pills✨ _ **Selfcare comes in many forms. Neue Gewohnheiten installieren. Um eine neue Gewohnheit zu installieren, muss man sie an einen Auslöser hängen. Was bedeutet das? Also wenn ich mir eine neue Gewohnheit aneignen möchte, dann überlege ich an welche bereits bestehende Gewohnheit kann ich sie anhängen. Zu Beginn hab ich meine erste neue Gewohnheit an das Aufstehen gehängt, jeden morgen nach dem aufstehen hab ich direkt zwei Flaschen Wasser im Wassermax vorbereitet und dann zwei Gläser Wasser getrunken. Dadurch dass ich es an dieses Aufstehen gehängt habe, vergesse ich es nicht und es ist mir in Fleisch und Blut übergegangen. Am Anfang musst ich mich darauf konzentrieren und mich auch aktiv daran erinnern. Aber mit der Zeit wird es zur automatischen Handlung. Wichtig ist es immer einen Auslöser zu haben, sonst bleiben die Vorsätze zu einer neuen Gewohnheit genau das, nur gute Vorsätze. Sobald ich gemerkt habe wie gut diese Art der Installation von Gewohnheiten funktioniert, konnte ich es beliebig erweitern. Mit mehr Gewohnheiten hast du auch mehr Auslöser für neue Gewohnheiten. Bei mir folgte der Sport und das Wohnung putzen. Im Moment installiere ich gerade die Gewohnheiten Meditation und Journaling. Versucht es doch auch mal!
