I believe it went very well.. 😊 We did a HIIT YOUR FLOW Yoga Class on the @wellbeats Kiosk & it was an awesome workout!!! Then I stretched us out & they relaxed in #Savasana 🙏🏾❤ The purpose of todays class flow was to remind our members of the option to use the @wellbeats kiosk as a part of their workout choices. There are several types of workouts available, from Yoga, Kick Boxing, Bosu & Cycling plus more!! I strongly recommended giving them a try!! 😉 I love challenges in my classes... Nearly a full week into the #tiuloveyourbody challenge and I havent really been checking in much. Ive posted a few stories, though. 🤷‍♀️ I took Wed and Thu off trying to give my body some time to rest and fight off a cold. 😷 Did a wee bit of yoga yesterday to ease back in. I’ve been out A LOT this last week. Having an injury is hard. Knowing if you don’t work you don’t get paid is hard. Making a decision for self care when you are used to putting everyone and everything first is hard. - - - - I’ve had time to take a crash course and (and an extra nap or two) and while I’m not completely better, I have no doubt that sitting myself down this week has been EXTREMELY beneficial. I will be back (I’ll even be at @Athleta today. Just because it takes me 10 minutes to get my shirt on doesn’t mean I can’t help you buy a new shirt 😊) and I’m looking forward to all the yoga, all the barre, all the circuits, all the @Piloxing and even a little bit of @Zumba. Felt so nice to move again! I was sure I would only last 10 minutes but I lasted over half an hour (and 1500 yds). Ankle felt weird at first, but then eased up into an ache. Homemade Ranch Dressing. I’ve been fine tuning this recipe for a while and I can tell you that at this point, my family refuses to eat any kind of Ranch Dressing unless I’ve made it (or @oilsaremyfavorite because she introduced me to the original recipe) And, as a side note, Ranch is a staple in this house. I’ve shared how much veg we eat and I attribute 90% of that intake to good dressing 😂 So PLEASE try it and change your life immediately: 🥗 •1 can light coconut milk (or less depending on the consistency you like for your salad dressing) •2 cups Best Foods olive oil mayonnaise 🥕 •1 teaspoon Onion Powder •1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder •1 teaspoon Dillweed •1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper •1 teaspoon Salt •2 teaspoon Parsley 🥬 *I use about double those portions on spices, but I would try the true amount first and then vary as needed. Seriously. Best. Ranch. Ever.

Starting my Saturday morning nice & slow. And I’m proud of myself for listening to my body. 😊 When I woke up this morning, I could just tell Zumba was maybe something I should go try to do today & you know how much I LOVE my Saturday morning Zumba. I just felt a little more tired than I normally do, despite doing really well on my sleep. So I took it as a sign to take it slow & don’t push it. Enjoyed a 40 min walk with the boy + a 10 min @toneitup stretch & release, oldie but goodie on YouTube. It was JUST what my body needed. 💖. . This is your reminder, that it’s okay to sleep-in or wake up early. It’s okay to push yourself, but learn to listen to your body & know when to turn it down a notch. Eat healthy or enjoy that slice of pizza tonight with the kids or with friends. Stay in & just chill with the dog or dress up & head out friends. Check in with your body to see what it needs. Happy Saturday 💕 Einige von euch fragen immer ob ich etwas von meiner Motivation fürs Trainieren abgeben kann 🤔 Dazu kann ich nur sagen: NOPE 😜 Motivation abgeben ist leider nicht drin 😅🤷🏼‍♀️ Grundsätzlich würde ich auch nicht mehr von Motivation im eigentlichen Sinn sprechen. 🙃 Ich trainiere seit knapp 2 Jahren im Studio und Laufe neben bei auch hin und wieder. Der Sport ist fix in meinem Alltag integriert und gehört für mich dazu, wie das Zähneputzen nach dem Aufstehen ☺️ Und ja, das hat natürlich gedauert, bis ich von einer Gewohnheit sprechen konnte. Aber ich habe klein mit dem Sport angefangen. Erst mal lange Zeit nur ein bis zwei Mal in der Woche ins Studio 🏋🏼‍♀️ Wenn man dann die ersten Ergebnisse sieht will man natürlich nicht mehr aufhören 😉 Das Wichtigste ist aber, dass man sich selbst keinen Druck macht! Fitness-Studio und Co. sind für mich keine Pflicht ‼️ Ich mache das zum Ausgleich zur Arbeit und vor allem auch, weil ich einen „Bürojob“ habe. Ich sitze täglich mehr als 8 Stunden vorm PC und dabei habe ich alles andere als eine gute Haltung 🙈🙉 mehrere Wochen ohne Sport heißt für mich Rückenschmerzen 😬😓 und auf die kann ich gut verzichten 😋 . . So viel zu meiner Motivation - Die hab ich schon lange verloren. 🤣 Sport und Bewegung wurde zum Hobby. Dear Mother Nature, thank you for cooperating with my running schedule 🤗. I was a little worried this week about being able to get this run done outside with forecasts for today being all over the place. But this morning, the snow forecast was moved way back to 11am which meant I’d be able to get to run club and log this workout there 🙌🏻. I’ve had a few really really bad driving experiences the past few winters so I’m always a little worried but I was able to get there and back without seeing any snow! Today’s workout was 1 @ 10, 2 @ 8:55, 3 @ 7:35, 2 @ 8:55, and 1 @ 10 for 9 miles total. Tighten your ponytail and run 🏃🏻‍♀️ I knew signing up for a spring marathon meant training throughout the winter, so I knew a return to the treadmill was going to happen sooner or later. I woke up to a snow storm and headed to the treadmill for 8 miles. Treadmill running isn’t my favorite, but I know it’s a good training tool, especially in the middle of a Michigan winter. And I’m pretty sure this is my longest ever treadmill run so I’m pretty darn proud of that! W2D6: 8 easy miles

Feeling strong, steady, and grounded again. A head cold and intense focus on work stuff took me out this week in different ways. To say that a lot is happening would be a massive understatement. . I found it necessary to give myself as much quiet time as possible this week. I took many naps. Spent many hours in silence. Went to bed early. Took a social media fast. Silenced all notifications on my phone. Many things have been put on hold. I’m moving slower and being more intentional. Even added a “do-not-disturb” window every morning (thanks for that advice @carlpaoli). . The next few weeks are gonna be even tougher as I get closer and closer to the deadline for finishing my book manuscript. Most days my brain aches. At the end of the day, my spirit feels depleted. And yet every day I wake up with a vision and a drive to keep on keeping on. . This would not be possible for me without creating all this empty space. It’s the thing that keeps me from being consumed and overwhelmed by it all. . Over the years, through my practice I’ve gained a skill that’s now become priceless — the ability to read my own gauge. It was something I forged through years of practice and a healthy amount of trial and error. And in this moment, I’m so grateful I put in the work to prepare me for what’s happening now. . When shit hits the fan, you can’t summon skills you don’t possess. The skills you need during the most challenging times in your life need to be forged long before the challenging times hit. You have to practice when it’s easy so you know what to do when it’s hard. You practice in the day what you want to remember in the dark. .
