This has been such a long hard week, I am it’s finally weekend and it’s time to rest and time for some much needed self care🌱 . I’ve been quiet for a few days because life has truely just been a little bit chaotic. In both good and bad ways! On the fitness subject, after doing my Leg workout on Monday, I came down unwell that night with chills, headache and whole body aches. Joe told me to take the week off exercising to let my body have a break and recover. I don’t know about you, but if I can’t exercise I get stressed out about going backwards and wasting all the hard work that I’ve put in! Especially not even going for a walk! 😱 But that doesn’t actually happen, and it’s been so good for me. My body really needed some chill time. I haven’t talked about it here, but I’ve had worsening hip pain for a few months now, getting to the point where it just aches when I’m doing nothing, and has kept me awake at night! I’ve had to change a few BBG exercises because I physically haven’t been able to do them. But that pain is basically gone now which is so good!! LISTEN to your body. Or in my case, get your HUBBY to tell you what your body is saying! 🤗 To top it off, I jumped on the scales this morning and I’m my lightest weight yet!! AND I fit into my original goal shorts from a couple years ago. I can’t believe it.. because they have zero stretch! So all in all, I’m feeling a-ok. 👌🏻 I’ve only got just over 1kg to go until I hit my goal weight, which is where I was when I was at my smallest and fittest point after doing BBG the first time around in 2015/2016! 🙌🏻 Not too shabby! Bring on my (hubby suggested) shopping spree once I hit that goal! I’m happy to report I ran for 4km today, did a HIIT weight style session, cleaned the entire house , did all the washing , mopping , vacuuming , re-arranged the entire front room , moved furniture (heavy sofas by myself 😁) , washed my hair got dressed and took this selfie 😇 #winning and Let me say everything I’ve done today is an accomplishment after the shitty day I had yesterday which has absolutely emotionally drained me (family stuff). My measurements in both are basically the same and my number on the scale in both pics was the same. I started @macrostax 2 months ago, but its been so hard to be consistent around the holidays. But Ive been doing better with hitting my numbers, and Im starting to lift heavier now that Im in PWR 2.0. So hopefully my next set of progress pics will have more of a noticable difference. ✧ The ultimate vegan Lasagna ✧@thetastyk made with chewy pulled soya by @veganz 😍🥫 I have made this one 3 times over the last 3 weeks and absolutely love all your positive feedback! 💖 —•—Ingredients—•— Lasagna Sauce: 1 medium white onion, chopped 5 garlic cloves, minced 1 small zucchini, diced 1 medium carrot, diced 1 package (150g) @veganz Pulled Soya 10 mushrooms, sliced 1 small eggplant, diced 700ml passata sauce 2 Tbsp tomato paste 2 cups veggie stock 1 tsp paprika powder sea salt & pepper to taste Béchamel Sauce: 2 Tbsp olive oil ½ cup whole wheat OR plain flour (whole wheat will give the bechamel a more light brown tint instead of white) 2.5 cups unsweetened plant-based milk (more depending on consistency - I used soy) ½ tsp sea salt 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast Additional: 9-12 lasagna sheets (oven ready) 3-4 cups spinach, chopped —•—Method—•— 1. Prepare all the veggies as instructed. 2. Heat a pan with 1 cup of veggie stock and saute the onions and garlic for 1 minute. 3. Add the remaining veggies and simmer for 2-3 minutes. 4. Add the Veganz pulled soya pieces and remaining ingredients and simmer for 8-10 minutes. 5. In the meantime, prepare the béchamel sauce by heating up the olive oil in a pan. Add the flour and stir until combined. 6. Gradually add the milk, constantly stirring. Add the remaining spices and simmer for a few minutes until it has thickened up. Whisk continuously to get rid of any lumps (in case it thickens too much, add a little splash of milk). 7. Preheat the oven to 175°C/350°F. 8. Take a baking dish and cover the bottom with some of the veggie sauce. Start layering the lasagne until all the ingredients are gone (tomato sauce, lasagne sheets, bechamel, spinach,...). 9. Day 14 of the #25FitmasDays Challenge & feeing good! Took a @bodypumpofficial class followed by a #bbg arms workout for the #bbgpwrcrew challenge! Currently rolling out on a lacrosse ball for some recovery in preparation for some more fun workouts this weekend 🤗 Here is one of my favorite recipes that I made tonight for mi familia! Crockpot pork carnitas with fire roasted salsa, fresh pico de gallo, avocado, gluten free grain free tortillas from @sietefoods, and a side salad! @WHOLE30 SLOW COOKER PORK CARNITAS Serves: 6-8 SERVINGS Ingredients * 4 pounds boneless pork shoulder * 1 tablespoon chili powder * 1 teaspoon ground cumin * 1 teaspoon salt * ½ teaspoon pepper * 1 tablespoon olive oil * juice of 2 limes * 1 small onion, finely sliced * 1 large jalapeño, seed removed and finely diced * 2 mini bell peppers (if desired) * (I added in some extra spicy chili powder, chili flake and a lil sriracha. I think some white wine would be also delicious in cooking the pork shoulder!) Instructions 1. Rinse and pat dry the pork shoulder 2. Combine the chili powder, ground cumin, salt, and pepper then sprinkle all over the pork. Gently pat the dry rub on to the meat so it sticks. Place the pork shoulder into the slow cooker. 3. Drizzle the olive oil on top and add the onion and jalapeño. 4. Squeeze the juice from two limes over the top, add in any other spices you desire, and cook on low for 4-6 hours. The thicker the roast, the more time it will take to cook 5. After the meat is fully cooked, shred it with two forks, removing any large chunks of fat that remain. Mix the the pulled pork with all the juices in the slow cooker. If desired, spread the pork on a baking sheet and broil for five minutes for crispy shreds of pork 6. Serve with cilantro, lime, bell peppers, diced avocados, salsa, and anything else you desire! Midday chest and triceps today without my workout buddy but sometimes the schedules between us just don’t mix. The holidays also make that more of a challenge along with my general laziness as I feel like we are sprinting to Lily’s due date. I’m really hoping to keep up 3-4 workouts a week until D-day but I’m also slightly terrified that my water will break at the gym 😝😝

When you’re sick and can’t work out, but then you get soup and its all sort of okay 😋.. except that you’re still sick and can’t work out and just wanna eat all the things and those disordered thoughts start creeping in like should I go work out and stop eating all the things 👀 and arggggghhhh 😫!!! I love nothing more than a good beach day! A few simple tips I like to follow: ☀️tons of SPF- I love brands like @supergoop & @coola + reapply multiple times 💦hydrate hydrate hydrate - water all day everyday 📸if you can hide your face (hello hats) I highly suggest it. Wrinkle prevention is key 🏊🏼‍♀️ stay active - go for a walk, swim, surf, etc. 🍉 healthy snacks are v important - I love tropical fruits like watermelon, mango, pineapple + fresh veggies. I like to keep it light to avoid bloating

Day 170 ⏭ 173: Happy Friday everyone!! This week started off amazingly! I worked my butt off in a BBG workout on Monday and then Tuesday was spent walking around London for what seemed like days on end 😂 just look at those steps & calorie burn!! Tuesday was my best day in ages in terms of calorie burn! I have walked the dog a few times since then BUT I have been fighting off illness for a while and I think it is finally beating me! I have spent the last couple of days feeling like poop 💩 I’m hoping next week I’ll be able to fit some more workouts in as I really need to keep building on my fitness for footy!! ANYWAY, my point was going to be that even if you fall off track for a day, a week or even a month, you can always just get right back into it! It doesn’t matter if you took some time off, what matters is that you don’t give up! Don’t beat yourself up and don’t think that just because you took a break that you have ruined everything! The truth is that sometimes you need a break to refocus & then go back to it even stronger and more determined than you were before!! So keep smiling, stay focused and don’t stop killing it!! After a power walk in the freezing cold it was lovely to come home and do some yoga in the warmth even if I did end up getting a bit sweaty! It’s a Matcha Latte kind of morning! 🍵 Happy Friday my loves! Sipping on a delicious cup of matcha latte infused with turmeric before my class this morning for much needed energy boost. Who is a matcha fan? If you are one, then you need this recipe. Easy Matcha Latte 2 cups of hot almond milk (heated up on a stove top or microwave if you don’t have a stove) 2 tsp of matcha powder 1 tsp of turmeric Or use 2 1/2 tsp @purechimp matcha turmeric powder. 2 tbps of maple syrup Blend everything in the blender for 1 min until foamy. This is me, not a month ago when I liked myself or after I’d lost 7lbs already, this is me 5 minutes ago. Earlier this year I lost 2 stone, in the last 3 months I’ve put that back on again. I have a man who loves me, every version of me and would walk through flames for me. I don’t know why some days. I have a daughter who wants to be just like her mama. Dear child that chills me to my core. I need to be a better version of myself and today that began. So, here I am. December 14th, 2018.

As a young girl, my parents hounded me about the traditional Cambodian 🇰🇭 culture ~ to listen and don’t talk back to elders, filial piety 💯, education is important, propriety, and obedience were my female roles. They taught me well 😌. Love them to death.. . . The one guideline that they couldn’t get me to follow was to not play sports ☺️. I grew up with 6 brothers & 4 sisters ... everything my brothers got into, I wanted to do. My kin folks were so strict & didn’t let me stay after school for any activities, so for countless years I’d play backyard basketball 🏀 sunrise to sunset to using my dad’s car headlights 🚘after dark 🤣... Catching Hail Mary’s in backyard Football 🏈... drawing DragonBallZ... playing ship across the ocean and freeze tag... building forts.. kick the can.. haha so many good memories. Omg I love my family. . . Some days, I couldn’t look at my dad in the face & see his disappointment walking into the house after playing outside 😅. Once he chased me around the neighborhood with a broom stick. Luckily, I was fast from playing sports lol. He just did it to scare me, of course. . . They had many good reasons to keep me away, but eventually accepted it and realized that I had learned to be a good daughter 💕... or maybe they just got tired of trying lol. . . WHY I HAVE DECIDED TO EAT LESS MEAT! After listening to this incredible podcast The Food Chain after the amazing @zannavandijk recommended it, I realised how often I ate meat, and I definitely wasnt happy or comfortable with the amount I was consuming! So I finally decided it was time to make a change! Now I am in no way saying that I am completely cutting meat out of my life, at least not yet, but I definitely have been making a serious effort over the last couple of weeks! So far I have found it so easy to reduce my meat intake! And not only do I feel much happier for doing it, it is also making me more mindful of the food I am consuming! I am experimenting with cooking and where normally I would just go for the same thing over and over again in restaurants, I am now picking things I never would have thought to! This unreal falafel and spinach burger from @wuffrestaurant is just one example! I am very excited to get to try even more amazing vegetarian options and if anyone has any recommendations definitely let me know! Photo credit- @wuffrestaurant88

Today - the final day of week 2️⃣ - I did something I’ve never done before. At the end of every class, we finish with a 60 second plank. Today, after a super difficult kickboxing & core class, I held a plank for the ENTIRE sixty seconds. I have literally never done this before in my entire life. I usually start out on my toes but less than half way through drop to my knees or take a break. It definitely wasn’t pretty, I’m sure it was wobbly, but I survived the entire minute in my plank. So yes, I can definitely say after two weeks I’m feeling it 💪🏻

21 weeks postpartum and I’m still adjusting to having a new little one in my life. Every day brings new rewards and new challenges. Some days I feel like I have an abundance of energy while other days I feel mentally and emotionally drained. It makes it hard to plan which for me, is totally in my nature. I thrive on plans but having a new baby practically throws planning out the window. How does that relate to today...I planned on getting BBG legs in this morning but I woke up with a massive headache, and I ended up having to take my little kitty to the vets with the baby, while my garage door wouldn’t close and then had to rush around doing other errands for the rest of the day. So in short, legs did not happen but a Cadbury caramilk bar did 😊. Tomorrow is another day and hopefully one where I can make my workout happen. Although, I’m not going to be too hard on myself if it doesn’t go exactly to plan. Being a good mum is a full time job and my top priority. But the good news is I do feel so much more motivated these days 🤗. On another side note, I did fit into another pair of my pre pregnancy jeans and I’m only 2.5 lbs away from my pre pregnancy weight 🎉🎈! Woop woop. #Ad If I could give the most patient and loving award to ANYONE this year, it would go to our mini Australian Shepherd, Stella. Since bringing the twins home over a year ago our pup has showed them nothing but sloppy kisses, entertainment, and sweet love. As new parents with a young dog, we were worried how she would react and the anxiety really got to me while pregnant.
