With all of Mias bday celebration, I too had to celebrate- all of the Colombian sweets are definitely in my belly! * Funny thing is I didnt gain weight (well 1 pound) but one thing for sure is that I feel like 💩 * My joints are killing me, Im super cranky, heart burn like a mofo, cant sleep as well and digestion #gotrealissuesgthere. * Today I started my new program, since I cant do heavy lifting I decided to modify even if it takes me longer--a mix of weights and my own body weight (yep! My sweatflix of workouts has 25+ programs so I can definitely make it personal) * So if you fell off the wagon and indulged a little too much! Its okay- whats not okay, you giving up!

The gym was really busy and my shoulders were not feeling the workout today so I hit the treadmill for some interval work instead. Its been a long while since I ran and did I feel it. 7 more days to go with a well earned rest day tomorrow.

I will be honest, moving to Seattle was not my first choice. Leaving the familiar for the unknown is scary, and I wasnt sure if I was up for it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But, heading to the PNW has been a fabulous adventure. 🌲 . As my husband and I settle in to our new home weve certainly had our moments. I missed a @corepoweryoga class because I couldnt find parking and had a pregnant momma meltdown on the way home. 🤰🏼😭 I miss the amazing community I met in San Diego, but also cannot wait to meet new faces in Seattle. ✨ . Talk about the ultimate of #fitfam. 💦💪🏻 I had so much fun today @f45oakvillelakeshore sweating with my mom and sis❣️ Tonight I’m fueling up with a nourishing meal, getting cozy on the couch catching up on emails & updating recipes on my blog. 🤓 #whatsonmyplate: sautéed kale, cinnamon sweet potato, yellow pepper, ½ an avocado, lemon garlic hummus, roasted chickpeas on a bed of brown rice. P.s. stay tuned, there’s lots in store for fall 🍂

A little bit of Italian with a healthy twist tonight👌🏼 Sautéed veal cutlets with mushrooms and string beans, over zoodles with a side of roasted butternut squash 😛 . All ya gotta do is sauté the veal cutlets in olive oil with pink sea salt, garlic, parsley & Italian seasoning. Once ready throw in the already made (leftover) string beans and mushrooms, mix all around and heat through. Once that is done sauté zoodles with a half a jar of artichoke hearts. When that’s all cooking..roast the butternut squash seasoned with pink sea salt, cinnamon & pumpkin spice at 450 for 20 minutes, flipping 10 min in between!! . Easy as that ~ Ya got yourself a healthy version of an Italian staple meal😎👌🏼 #sofitsohealthyy

Burn out // mental fatigue...I have been living with it for as long as I can remember. There are two kinds of people in this world... the ones that say five minutes and take two... and then the ones that at five minutes ask for five more minutes to get ready! 😜Which one are you? ... 👉So long and eventful weekend, and yet it felt like it lasted all of six seconds. But looking back on it, I had the opportunity to see my family and hang out with them even though I wish I had gotten more done. And thats the thing... So many of us rush through our weekends and our weeks going from one thing to the next. Rather than really enjoying the moment and our lives, we always criticize ourselves that we didnt do our best. ... So maybe we could have done more on the weekend. Or maybe we could have done this or that. Last night I made a cauliflower curry dish that has quickly become my favorite weeknight meal! 🙌🏻😍 Why? It’s quick, versatile and EASY 👏🏻👏🏻 aaand it makes for some pretty yummy leftovers 😋 Winning! I’m finishing up the workday and then headed to Trader Joe’s to pick up some of favorites 🤗 what are some of your TJ’s favorites? • • Steam cauliflower florets and zucchini moons until tender. Meanwhile, sauté half of a yellow onion with 1-2tsp of avocado oil until translucent. Add any veggies you want! I did Italian green beans, peas, carrots, broccoli and peppers (I use frozen because it’s easy and CHEAP). Add in the steamed cauliflower and zucchini. Add in one can of beans (I used canelli) Pour in 1/3 cup full fat coconut milk + 1/4 cup water. Add in 1.5 Tbls red curry paste and make sure it is fully incorporated. Cover and let simmer until all veggies are cooked through! Served over cauliflower rice because I’m out of my fave jasmine rice from TJs and sprinkled with hemp seeds!

I have a torn acl and meniscus from a freak horse accident...choosing to push out surgery for financial reasons, which means less of doing the things I love. Life happens, injuries happen...but I still do the best I can. Weekends have been filled with a lot more beach days than OCR days! And that’s okay.
