Day 24/42!! ✨ Feeling doughy AF from vacation, 🤣 but posting anyway!! 🙌🏻 . When I was younger and would come home feeling this way, I legit thought I “got fat” in 4 days. 🤦🏻‍♀️ In reality, I simply get INFLAMED. I continue to eat well while we’re gone, but the alcohol poofs me. 🥃 . I only actually gained 0.2 lbs in Vegas (literally doesn’t even count because small fluctuations are natural), but I probably gained 1.5” around my core. . “Old Brit” would have come home, hid her body, and binge ate because “who even cares now? I already screwed up.” 💔 Major self-sabotage, and I’d continue to feel worse and worse about myself indefinitely. . But “new Brit” thinks, “Hey body! Thanks for allowing me to have some fun without any major repercussions. I appreciate you, and I’m back on track today. I promise to give you exactly what you need to feel your best again ASAP!!” 💃🏻 . Imagine the difference that mindset shift could make FOR YOU?! 🤔 . Then the day after we return home, I: . 1. Weigh first thing in the AM for accountability. . 2. Log in to my private, virtual fit fam group for accountability. 💪🏻 . 3. Plug into my Netflix of workouts to get my sweat on. 💦 Then post raw + real videos like this on social for accountability. [ARE YOU SEEING A PATTERN HERE?!?] . 4. Drink a superfoods shake for breakfast + lunch to allow my digestive system a little break while giving it exactly what it needs (prebiotic, probiotic, digestive enzymes). 🌱 . 5. Recommit to my nutrition plan right away. 🍎 . That’s it!! I don’t come home and do anything drastic to “punish” myself, nor do I let vacation mode seep into my real life. I just go right back to my program and... VOILA!! Within 2-3 days, it will be like nothing ever happened. 🤷🏻‍♀️ . I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again and again: this is a LIFESTYLE and it does NOT have to be stressful. Fuck diets. Fuck hours at the gym. Fuck guilt. You don’t need ANY OF THAT to look and feel awesome. 🚫 . Work on what’s going on between your ears, 🧠 and find a simple but flexible plan that works FOR YOU. Then remember that long term consistency beats short term intensity. 😜💕
