⭐No shake will make you lose weight. There is no magic pill, no magic drink, no magic ANYTHING⭐ Its making a decision, and a commitment period. By no means does it mean being perfect! I drink this every day because for me it helps to reduce my cravings, it has pre and probiotics which help with regularity and gut health, I rarely get sick and if I do it lasts for a short time, my numbers at the doctors office are better than perfect :-) and I love how my hair and skin look ️ ❤️ I can afford it because I dont spend money on co-pays going to the doctor or on medication because I dont need them 🙌 BUT IT HAS CARBS!! 💥Plate Loaded Chest Press Machine (incline) by @sam_xceedfit💥 . . 🏋️‍♂️This has always been one of my favorite chest machines. If you’re lucky enough to have one in your gym, in recommend you use it! If not, find a better gym 😂😂Here’s how to do it: . . 1️⃣ Position your shoulder blades back and down against the seat so that your chest is pushed forward, with a slight arch in the lower back. Do not lose this position throughout the set! . . 2️⃣ Having your elbows at roughly a 45 degree angle works best, but feel free to alter this to your preference. . . 3️⃣ As you press the handles forward (and slightly up on this machine as it’s more incline based), aim to push your biceps hard into the sides of your chest. Make sure you are contracting your pecs all the way up and give them another squeeze at the top. Stop just before lock out . . 4️⃣ Lower slowly down, feel a nice stretch and repeat. When you’re becoming fatigued, you can bang out some partial reps to failure (save this for the final set) . . 🏋️‍♂️I’ll do these in a push or upper body workout and usually do 4-6 sets, with a couple of drop sets at the end. This one is also great attacking resistance bands to the sides (will video this another time). Give it a try and let me know how it goes! (Apologias for the not so great video by the way. 💥Male vs. Female Training by @sam_xceedfit 💥 . . 🏋️‍♀️Whilst perceptions around females lifting weights are slowly getting better, there are still people who think men and women should train completely different to achieve the same goal. Let’s explore . . 🙋‍♀️Now of course, training should be personalized for the individual, regardless of their gender. That’s the first point. However, for the majority of people, the basics will always work wonders. These basics include, lifting heavy weights, trying to get stronger, aiming to build muscle, mixing in resistance training (weights, band, bodyweight) and cardio and trying to keep a healthy body fat range. These are fundamental basics . . 🙅🏻‍♂️There are gender differences, yes. For instance, a woman’s body fat should (and most likely will) always be higher than a mans, from a health perspective. I also find women handle pain better and recover quicker from session to session. However, men often have the advantage of being able to train less frequently and are able to put on muscle mass. There’s pros and cons for both genders . . 🤷‍♀️If you’re a female reading this, please don’t be scared of weight training and the like. You won’t turn into a man! Men and women are made differently, but when it comes to putting on muscle and fat loss, there shouldn’t be huge differences with basic training fundamentals . . ❓Questions? 💥Do you have to Lift Weights to Lose Bodyweight? By @sam_xceedfit💥 . . 🏋️‍♂️Despite my many posts about how beneficial weight training for just about everything, I still get questions from people asking if other non weight lifting activities will help them lose weight. Notice in the heading of this infographic Ive written bodyweight, not body fat. There’s a big difference . . 🚴‍♂️Fact is, when it comes to just losing bodyweight, as long as you’re in a calorie deficit and do some form of exercise (walking, swimming, yoga etc) you will lose actual scale weight over time. This is great, if this is your goal and all you care about is the number on a scale . . 💪However, as a coach, I’m more in the business of helping people change their body composition; lose body fat, keep muscle mass and produce lean, toned bodies. That’s the goal of all the people i work with and it’s because of this, I make sure all of my clients are lifting weights a minimum of 3 times a week . . 🏋️‍♂️Lifting weights may produce a drop in bodyweight as well, but it will also help you do all those things on the right hand column (and many more), if you stick to it consistently over time, of course. This is why I feel so strongly about everyone doing some form of weight training! . . 👉I get that it’s more to think about; what training program to follow, what exercises to do etc. rather than just going for a walk. Today was a 20min circuit training with hubby. ****3 mins timer**** 3-4 clings with squat and shoulder press (45lbs barbell) 10 split lunges 10 push ups 5 🤚 Rounds Tough but we made it. I started to die on round 3 😩😩 As you can see, hubby is still recovering post surgery with range of motion. But we are getting better everyday. Here is a snippet of what we did. Raw and uncut!
