99.9% of the time when I leave the gym, I leave happy, relaxed and feel great about my workout because I always give it my best. THIS MORNING HOWEVER, I was dragging my ass, I did not give it my 100% and I could not snap out of it. I felt weak and unmotivated and stressed. I guess we all have days like this here and there but let me tell you, I am NOT a fan. I tried and am still trying to tell myself that the positive is that a work out, no matter how slow or insignificant it may feel is still better then NO workout at all. . SO, I got a new pre workout that I’m pumped to try out in the morning. You do what you gotta do to get motivated. HIIT has been such a big part of my routine lately and I’m really loving it! 🧡🧡 I came in and hit some abs today and cooled down with this little circuit 💦 I did 4 sets with 10-12 reps of each exercise 💪🏼 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 1️⃣ Med Ball Slams- I keep my core tight throughout this entire exercise and it burnssss 🔥 ⁣⁣ 2️⃣ Side to Side jumps- this exercise was KILLER! I was originally doing box jumps but they were too easy so I wanted to switch it up 🔁 these aren’t really hard to do but they definitely work muscles that don’t get worked often, my legs were on 🔥🔥🔥🔥 ⁣⁣ 3️⃣ Kettlebell Swings- I do this exercise at least 3 times a week, it engages your core and glutes 🍑 my favorite warm up AND cool down exercise 👏🏼 ⁣⁣ 4️⃣ LOL so I remember doing hoop jumps in elementary school PE class, and I found one of them on the turf and basically just hopped around to keep my heart rate up before restarting the circuit. It was more fun that anything 😅😅

Im so excited to be accepted by sports folks. Ive always wanted to play on a sports team but gave up my dream because I thought it was too late since I didnt play as a kid. Having a fitness lifestyle has opened up so many opportunities for me. I have become flexible, I am better at planning and motivating, I have more energy and less anxiety. I can get accepted on a sports team!! This, in itself, is a miracle from God. I actually got exempt from gym class in high school, which is mandatory in Canada, because it caused me so much anxiety because I was so unfit. . . I didnt like how none of my clothes fit and the ones that did, I was so uncomfortable in them. I didnt like how each time I went to the doctor, I was told my blood pressure was high and needed to make a change. I didnt like not not wanting to go anywhere or do anything because of how down I felt about my personal appearance. I decided to make some changes and with daily consistency and accountability and support, I was able change my lifestyle and daily habits and lose 50 pounds. Push hard. Consistency, Consistency... It’s what’s gotten me to where I am today. Granted there are days like today where I was coming up with reasons I couldn’t make it to exercise in the evening. I immediately told myself, “Stop that! You can’t start this nonsense!” That’s how it starts. You make one excuse then many excuses next thing you know it’s been months since you been to the gym. I know it’s hard, believe me I know. Somewhere deep inside of you there is this powerful being who has the determination you’ve been waiting for! We all can do it! 🐼🖤
